"You don't look much better." Vince teased, leaning down to kiss her again. Then he blinked, looking slightly flummoxed. "Worried? Why were you worried? One of the sendings was supposed to come and deliver the note I wrote, explaining that I'd be out researching and doing some field work. Didn't... didn't you get it?"

Ukaia shook her head no
"No.. I havent' heard or gotten anything since you left" she said quietly
"i was afriad somethign had happened.. i didn't even know where you were" she said soflty then led him to the couch and had him sit down.. she stroked her fingers over his face and his lips down his body
"Are you hurt.. do you want anything? " she asked him

Vince had the presence of mind to grab the object in one hand, though he placed it on the floor again when he sat down, then pulled Ukaia into his lap, close to tears. "Oh Uka... I'm so sorry." he whispered. "I don't know what happened, why my message didn't come. I'm sorry." he whispered again, then shook his head and kissed her temple. "And no, I'm not hurt, and I've got everything I need in my arms right now."

Ukaia kissed him back and smield wiping away his tears
"It's alright.. It's alright. I just was afraid somethign had happened or .. he'd come back or seomthing" she said quielty kissing him more
"You can find out what happened later.. tell me what's been going on please?" she asked him
"what's the package?

"Ah!" Vincent smiled and kissed her lightly again, bending to pick up the object again. "This, my love, is a very powerful magical artifact, and one of a kind as well. At least, if it is what I think it is." he amended, a wry smile on his face. "Still have a few tests to run. But!" He pulled of the covering, and there in his hands was an obviously ancient scabbard covered in old brocade that was once deep red in color, but had since faded. All over it's surface was stitched symbols of health, long life, healing and protection; it was a work of art as much as a magic tool.

Ukaia smiled as she touched it with a finger and looked at it more
"it is quite pretty.. it's a sword thingy right?" she asked him
"The outside cover thingy.. i can't think of the name" she added tracing a symbol on it. Her eyes looking it over. It really was quite pretty

"Indeed it is love." Vince murmured, kissing her cheek lightly. "It's called a scabbard, and this one may well have belonged to King Arthur himself." he added, awe clear in his voice. "Even if it didn't, it has some of the most powerful spells I've ever seen. It heals the bearer, makes him virtually un-killable unless it's a strike that kills right away."

Uakai smiled a bit. She had no clue at all who King Authur was. But she jsut nodded and nuzzled him
"So was it dangerous to come back?" she asked soflty
"I mean.. getting it and coming back and stuff.." she asked as her fingers traced the spells on the scabbard more

"Well, getting it wasn't easy." Vince admitted, then yawned rather suddenly as he was speaking. "We got the ... yawwww... the tip, and then we had to ... yawwww... hunt down the right spot." he told her, then laughed. "And then, of course, there was the digging. But other than that, no, there weren't any... any... yawwww... problems."

"Lets get you into bed.. and a bath. definaly a bath" seh said to him smiling more

"Whatever you say love." Vincent murmured, standing on rather wobbly knees, the scabbard clutched in one hand. He leaned down to give her a soft kiss, then yawned again. "Can I maybe have the bath tomorrow though? I think we both need some sleep..."

She nodded
"Of cource" she said quietlyleadignhim upstairs supporting him gently. She led him into the room and pulled back the sheets
"Lets get you some sleep"s he said. She puled his pants down.. and then his top a bit.

"Of course," Vincent murmured, putting the scabbard aside carefully before wrapping his arms around her, smiling as he kissed her again. "If you aren't too tired, there's a few other things we could do first." he told her softly, his voice taking on the timber reserved only for her. Teasingly, he bit her neck, then smiled. "I missed you, my Uka. What say you?"

"Naturally" she whispered sfotly then leaned back on the bed pulling him on top of her
"I've missed you vincent" she added.. Purring as she played naughtly with him.

The girl came back, filled with snow. She shook the snow outside and came inside, her lips and hands blue. She took off her socks and placed them on the fireplace and started a fire. Seeing that she had left a trail of muddy water she went to get the bucket and mop and cleaned everything.
