(( Sorry guy, near fell asleep. ^.^; Me sicky... again. )) Yuki walked out into the main room, back in her tan hakama and white bandaged tube top. She was still tired, but decided not to show it. She was good at acting. Looking about the Main room, she saw a sleeping Reeve, and a relaxing Sage. She gave him a small wave before hearing something in the kitchen. Sneaking a peeking, she noticed... long curly red hair... Iri perhaps?
"How are you today, Sage?" (( Edit: WHOO!! Page 3333!!! ))

Sage nodded to yuki, " pretty good o lady of cats. The upside is that I'm learning from the battles with those roary things that chase this crystal...the downside is that stronger ones are starting to give chase....Are you sure the people in the land of spirits can't help?"

Strips of chicken fry in a pan, occasionally flipped and stirred by the spatula in Iri's hand. Noodles are boiling in a pot next to the pan. Iri manages to divide her attention evenly between each ingredient. She hates to burn good food.
Home. Been three years since I've seen that place. What will it be like to go back? I can already feel that sensation of being an outcast amongst my own family. I'm already having second thoughts about going at all.
Iri extinguishes the flame under the frying chicken and moves each strip onto a waiting plate. The pan goes back on the burners for now. She turns off the flame under the noodles next and picks up the heavy pot. A strainer is already in the sink and she poors the contents of the pot into it. Iri picks up the strainer and dumps the drained noodles back into the pot. The chicken gets tossed into the noodles, along with carefully measured amounts of herbs and spices. Every action is automatic and kind of stiff, unsual for the woman.
Wonder how everyone reacted after I left? I know I was loved, am still loved, but there were many members of the family that didn't like me very much. They thought Momma gave me too much freedom. Wonder how many people will detest seeing me again?
The full pot gets placed on one of the tables. Plates, silverware, cups, and tea have already been spread out. Iri doesn't know if anyone will smell the chicken and show up to share it, but she prefers to prepare extra seats out of what she considers to be common courtesy. In the mean time, she sits down to serve herself a small helping of the meal.

Iri looks up from her meal. Her head tilts in an inquisitive manner. Did I hear voices? Not sure, but I thought I heard Sage, and maybe Yuki.
She shrugs indifferently and winds more noodles and chicken onto her fork, distracted by her thoughts of home and family. Though she dislikes the idea of leaving the Academy, Iri has already decided to visit home. Former home, Iri corrects herself. That place hasn't been home in a long time. The Academy is home now.
Moments later Iri is finished with her dinner. She starts moving around the kitchen again, washing dishes and storing the rest of the noodles and chicken. Odds are someone else will find the leftovers and use them.
Once that's done, she picks up her book and tessen and walks out the kitchen door. Her feet automatically guide her in the direction of the front doors.

As Iri made her way to the front door, Sage caught sight of her and looked over, " Going to go meandering off without saying hello? "
I wonder if I could just bury the damned thing in the spirit world? I'm pretty sure it's considered holy ground...I mean...it's the afterlife, right?

Sage's voice catches Iri off guard. She stops in mid stride and looks over at him, her expression slightly startled. That expression switches to a warm smile and she walks across the hall to greet Sage. "Sorry 'bout that. Kinda been off in my own little world." Iri notices the black crystal. She narrows her eyes in concern and says, "Still haven't gotten rid of that thing?"

Sage shurgs," No...and it's starting to get eviler...but if I'm lucky, Miss Yuki here might be able to find us a nice place to bury it. Or purify it...or something."

"Yeah, I remember you mentioning something about burying it in holy ground, or some place that's been blessed..."
Hold on. There's quite a bit of ground between me and family. Lots of places to bury an evil crystal. A few old shrines, too, if I remember right. Offering my help would mean leaving sooner, which I don't want, but I do owe Sage for helping me.
Iri looks first at Yuki, then at Sage. After a few more moments of deliberation, she finally speaks up. "Well, I'm about to go on lengthy trip. If I can't find a holy place to bury that thing on the way, then I could at least find a really deep hole to drop it down. I certainly wouldn't mind getting rid of that thing for you. Maybe I'll even get a chance to have it purified. You said that thing might be useful after being purified, right?"

(( Sorry, me be back! Birthday thing at sisters. =P )) Yuki sighed and shook her head. "If they are not killing the Hollow themselves, then I doubt it." She said, shrugging. "The spirit realm is made up of spirit particles, and I myself do not consider such 'Holy.' I still say that once Neko is free from his room, that you should speak to him about it.

((that's fine xp ))
Sage nodded a bit. "Well...do you think we could take it to them anyway? If nothing else it might allow me to be kept alive long enough to plead my case for training from them. I'm sure they have a very unique way of healing...or do they? Do the Dead need to be healed?"

"They will not let you in unless you have a strong spirit force and they feel as if they could use you... and if you were dead." She said with a catty look. "I could kill you if you are that desperate, but the Spirit Realm is not all laughs and giggles. It could be as bad as... living on the streets." (( *Holds up 20 PM messages* Sorry. They wouldn't shut up. ^.^; ))

Sage sighed, " But I want to keep living for a while, start a family eventually, you know? Can't really do that if I'm dead. Are you sure there's no way to get in there without dying? I'd much rather try that than die just to get there, then get screwed because they don't feel like it."

"You can get there without dieing, but they will not help you. They would probably try to kill you if you did not have proper consent. You would basically be an outlaw there, and everyone would be afraid of you, or after you."

Sage sighs, " It would be better than being chased around by a bunch of wailing demons. At least these would be people I can talk with, right? Perhaps the sight of the crystal or my golem would give them pause....from what I take of your speech, they haven't seen a mental arts user before..."

"They would not accept you. They would find you as an enemy. They do not welcome outsiders." she sighed and shook her head, sitting down on a couch.
