Hmm that should be interesting perhaps I'll stop by once things are in motion.*Yawning again she stands up and shakes herself dry.* I should be getting home. Night...*Clicking the button on her silver watch the air buzzes and she disappears in a cloud of smoke with a bang.*
PostPosted: Tue Jan 31, 2006 7:30 pm

The bang was of little consequence, though the light seemed to bother Heritage. Nodding to where Kai had been, he spoke to himself. "Goodnight." With that said, he backed out of the water. Though he'd only taken a step or so in, he seemed to be quite happy to be away from the water. Unlike many creatures, he didn't require water, at least not as directly as others preferred it. A snort was all the pool would recieve as some dirt was kicked into it, and Heritage turned on his heel to leave. Back into the bushes to stalk after things and watch the Dojo.

A Broken Husk

- Thud - Thud - Thud - Thud - Thud - Thud -

The dull 'thuds' of the six space fighters entering the atmosphere found it's way down to the surface of the planet as six raging balls of fire scortched overhead. They turned the air red around their flamming masses. A charr of black soot following in their wakes. One hundred and twenty miles until visual comfirmation on their target.

The leader of the mission reached up, filled the air break, and braced himself as the vehicle piled heavy gee's against his frame. His particular host had been a veteran, ace, fighter against the Krentha's and the Renatonganta's, during the war of 3212. The force, which would have rendered a normal human pilot, continued to push against the Seebo-012 clone, but he ignored him the same way he'd ignore a really bad itch.

A burst of code exploded out from the lead ship.
"Stand-by...Ten...closeing...formation"
The burst code was only good for mid-fall transmissions, unfortunately it was fairly vauge and hard to interperate. But Seebo-006 all the way up to Seebo-012 had no trouble, what so ever, in translating it's meaning, and activate their anti-grav air breaks.

Ka'rinth sat in the forest on a lichen covered rock, he had been deep in thought for some time now and felt he was on the verge of an epiphany. He used several types of magical energy, foremost had always been his earth magic which had until his recent training only been supplemented by his dark energy. However, it was well known that he was an adept at earth manipulation, so the next logical thing to improve had been his dark energy. As he thought about it's nature he began to mumble softly under his breath in an atempt to get something fully formed. From Ka'rinth to Shadow and back again, I always used earth more, but what else have I learned? I've always been able to harness souls with the void to become a source of dark energy, and after initially arriving here was trained in necromancy. I still have mastery of those spells and even found ways of manipulating the souls I steal into it, however something is missing.

Earth, air, water, fire, dark, light, holy, shadow, electricity, physical, spiritual, sonic, psionic, toxic, and ice. What would I do against each in a fight? Earth is my element and I've never had trouble negating it with my meld or dispersion techniques. Air often cancels out my earth, but I never push it, I'm sure I could overpower it if I set my mind to it. Water is tricky and depends on location, but with creative shape shifting I can handle it. Fire and holy are my largest weaknesses, if only because the first takes so long to heal and the second disrupts my dark energy. Fire in truth though, is fairly easy to block and counter through. Shadow and light are as tricky as sonic attacks, if I know they are coming I can improvise and dodge. Hmmm, maybe I should study both types of magic more, especially since I know a few beings that use them. Ice is easier to deal with than water and doesn't have much affect on my body. Electricty is a joke, well with my earth magic unsealed it is, physical is just a matter of perception, spiritual has never been much of a problem, and toxic has always been dealt with via shapeshifting too.

Where does that leave me? I need a better understanding of shadow and light and to avoid any magic I can't cancel or absorb.... A dark smile slowly covered his face as he realized what he had been forgetting in his training and what would give him a new edge and possibly raise his mastery of his dark energy. Of course, the one sex linked trait on the male side of our family. It will make us much stronger if we absorb the dark energy we exert, that will allow me to use far more energy because much is reabsorbed. That realization finally accomplished, Ka'rinth's mind switched to what he should work on aside from control.

Offense, defense, and support. Obvious choices would be shield, should be able to focus energy into a consolidated area and by rotating it rapidly and condensing and expanding it randomly dispers force. Is it possible to turn it into a physical weapon by the same technique but with a different shape? I should probably recall Nazgoth's staff and books to study and see if there are any portal or retreat spells that can be activated with dark energy. Can it generate heat or cold by displacing or affecting the air around it? Can I use it to alter my own capabilities? Ka'rinth stood slowly and turning walked through the forest and towards a far off destination. He would leave for the moment to continue his training somewhere in solitude where he could not be interuppted. He smiled though, the black company like the FRR and several other places in the world were part of his long term plans and he would return when he was ready to face tough opponents once more. He would also have many new tricks to work with and on.

Eva had been dropped. She was crying.

Amongst the many giant trees, and brush that grew in the forest, Eva sat on the firm earth in a small clearing north of the BC grounds. Her tiny form couldn't be seen from the sky, but her crying could be. She made it well aware that not only was she scared, and frightened, but she was absolutely hungry for something to eat. She didn't much care that her mother was gone, she knew that she could fend for herself, but Eva was lonely, and wanted to be with her brother again. She brought up both her hands in anger, and punched at the ground with her fists. She screamed out angerly-

"KAIDEN!!!"

Unhindered, the scorched drone would march past the trees. Some required a bit of work to move it's large body around, but the four legs proved to make the unit quite agile. At times it meant having the spearlike tips of metal crash into bark as the unit moved in at an angle, but such was merely the trials of marching through a forest. One of the five lenses was destroyed, but the other four compensated with ease. The machine guns would need more direct repairs, but aside from that the unit was relatively unharmed. Of course all that aside, the wailing of the young girl was quite easy to follow. It'd only be a matter of minutes before the drone had found the girl. Though, the drone had yet to consider how it would communicate, or how a child would react to a machine over three times her height looming over her.

Eva had kept screaming, mostly now it would only be heard as burbles of noise.

She heard the machine getting closer, the cracks of wood breaking, and leaves crashing together. She would turn her attention right as the drone was looming over her. She looked angerly up at the drone, tears streaming down her young, pudgy cheeks.

Fear filled her as she saw the sight of the drone. With being angry at first, her quick change of emotion would cause her to pass out, as she was exhausted from her day. She had not eaten, and she needed nourishment. Badly.

Her constant fit seemed to have gotten her help... well, at least it seemed that way so far.

The drone would peer down to the girl, unsure of what to do. Obviously a battle droid lacked the appropriate appendages to feed or administer medical attention. At this point, any action with it's heavy legs aside from pushing would most likely end in the young girl being impaled, ans essentially stuck on the leg for quite some time. Chirping a couple of times, the unit turned it's body about, to look around some more. The girl would be laying beneath the underbelly of the machine, effectively caged in protectively by the four metal insectoid legs. At this point, the droid could do little other than guard Eva and await the assistance of a humanoid.

Sounds of grumbling came from Eva's stomach. She needed nourishment, badly. All that needed to be done, is to pick Eva up, and carry her to a place where she would be taken care of, at least for food. Her body was weak, and she couldn't walk by herself. Not to mention the fact that she was passed out from exhaustion as well.

Xol stopped abruptly, the vial almost ejecting from his had as a cloud of dirt and dead leaves plumed up in front of him.

Mastema.

The beings power signal was coming from where the BC had been before his leave. The crater.

In an explosion of black mist, Xol was gone.

Heswina's armored figure slumped against a nearby tree, her metal plating grinding against itself. It was hardly the most fashionable thing she's ever worn, but it did serve her faithfully in the past thirteen or fourteen months. The four foot blade that bounced against her leg was a cross-forge between a longsword and a broadsword. A good combination of reach, power per swing, and durability. It wasn't anything fancy, just a good, old fashion, steel blade. As was the shield on her back. It's steel shine was covered by a wooden cover, both to reduce the glare and too help absorb the blows of maces or other heavy weapons.

Drawing a deep breath and sighing Heswina reached into the small leather pouch at her waist, her short cut blonde hair draping down infront of her eyes, and removed a small white flower. It was flattened, and long since expired, yet she still held onto it. Purity, hope...such foreign concepts to her, yet she yearned for them so much.

The cloaked figure would slowly make it's way towards the other unit of KB's. Though clearly it couldn't see from beneath the cloak, given it covered his face, the massive shape continued to walk. One might assume it humanoid, for two clawed 'feet' did rake up earth as it walked. In any case, KB had soon reached the massive insect droid that was standing above Eva. "Good work." His metallic voice chimed, though it was slightly darker than one might expect from a machine. Though he held nothing on him to provide nourishment, moving Eva to a more hosipitable location wouldn't be too hard. As if following a silent command, the unit raised itself high in the air, and the cloaked KB crouched and walked beneath it. Two metallic arms would rach out from behind the cloak to lift Eva, as KB turned and began to make his way into the forest. If Eva looked up, from her angle she might catch sight of the mechanical face that held six eyes. Two rows of three, which seemed to glow a soft yellow.

In any case, the giant mechanical bug simply heaved and began to follow. Walking behind it's master, it would crunch or shove aside trees as need be. The heavy cannons on the thing not yet flaring to life. For now it simply walked, letting it's steel-plating and spear-like legs scare away all the mundane animals.

Xol appeared roughly ten feet in front of Heswina, directly in her path. Aside from some various scars, larger body frame and slightly unkept facial hair, he looked the same as the last time they had seen each other.

"Heswina Sedai..."

He knew that unless she had lost her memory that she would immediately recognize him. The real question was, how would the reaction go over?
PostPosted: Sun Feb 05, 2006 11:54 pm

Dropping the white flower on the ground Heswina crushed it under her steel plated riding boots. It was obvious they were boots made for riding around large animals because of the way the boots pointed at the tip, so they can be slid into the stirup without much trouble, and the subtle, yet effectly and potentially dangerous, bumps that allowed added traction once in the saddle. A single white scar slid down Heswina's left eye, that eye was a startling white compared to the solid blue one on her right. Her hair was shorter as well, cut so that it would fall down and cover her blinded left eye. She too had grown in size, she was taller and broader. Hard packed muscles replaced the soft and vibrant skin which once made men faunt and pant after her body. That playful smile and mischivious smirk vanishing behind the cold expression of someone who wanted death to come, but needed something before they let themselves die.

Truthfully Heswina was weaker then when she was here last. Her telekinetic abilities were still sharper then ever, hell they were better! But she had lost her edge, her driving spirit and lustful vitality. It showed in her eyes, the aged and decrepid look of someone who no longer cared.

Anger boiled up, seethed between her teeth as she politely murmured his name, "Xol..." It sprouted under the heavy layer of armor she wore, making her skin feel slick and oily. Oh she definately remembered Xol, but at the moment she made no move for the heavy four foot blade at her side, nor did she attempt to remove the heavy steel shield that was hanging, upside down, on her back. It was upside down so when Heswina grabbed it, turning her arm around and sliding it behind her back to grab ahold of the straps, it would be right side up, the single point pointing down while the crecent pointed up. "Can I help you?" She asked politely, making sure the little white flower was completely destroyed under the leather and steel of her boot.

The pair, or rather, the Trio would continue through the forest. KB still carried Eva as one might carry an offering, and didn't seem to spare the young girl much, if any remorse. Not that KB and his pet were planning to sneak up on anyone. Oh no, the massive drone behind him was being quite noisy as it crashed about and tried to force it's way around or inbetween trees. It wouldn't be long before the Trio was moving towards Xol however, since KB had a favor to ask. He doubted Xol would follow through with the idea, but it was better to ask than to not ask. After all, Xol showed greater potential than KB did for the specific area in which KB needed assistance. In any case, KB hadn't noticed anything of Heswina. In fact, he barely recognized Xol since Xol had taken on some changes. "Xol." The metallic voice echoed, though it chimed out louder in a call than the name spoken by Heswina.
