You know, Gaia autocensors when people swear. What you're doing is just annoying. If you're doing it for your own sensibilities, don't type anything. If you're doing it for others, remember: GAIA CENSORS FOR YOU.

I was referring to the name of the Legion... not cursing them in any way razz

Hm...
I've done Flamer death from the LotD with two squads, against an army of Tau, which won me the game.
LotD are a great support or direct assault unit, they can take a punishing, and their invul save makes people go grrrr.

My statement stands. Stop swapping symbols for letters when you curse. It's actually a violation of the TOS to use things to beat the censor. For my eyes and sanity and the fact that you're technically violating ToS, knock it off. Either swear or don't.

"Damned" or "damn" can be a touchy word for some religious people I think. sweatdrop

I know, but...eh. I've made my points.

So...anybody have any new name ideas on the tank? I'm planning on scrimping on my budget for a while to buy a tank kit for the conversions.

A Chapter of origins could be a great vantage point to start brainstorming from.

Hm...
This would be an "in field" mashup kind of thing. Possibly a predator's weapons get so mangled that they end up replacing them with whatever was handy/needed at that time.

In the vein of it being something well made and reinforced, I'd say it would be an Iron Hands creation. My only point against that would be the fact that they are close to the Mechanicus and thus would be less likely to kitbash.

Salamanders are known for high tech level and independent thinking...
other chapters with technophile trait are Mentors, Pretorians of Orpheus, Astral Knights (source:codex astartes, edition M3,00 cool

Yet the less strict chapters are mostly the primary source of the new variants: Black Templars created the Crusader, Dark Angels created the Mortis Dreadnought, the Space Wolves the Annihilator and the White Scars the Land Speeder Tempest.

Why do I have an odd feeling that Mortis Dreggy might appear on re-made DA codex? <.<
Must be the Ironclad variant...... confused

Wouldn´t it be DA´s then?
I mean, originally DA´s we´re the only chapter that allowed Plasma Cannons
in Tactical squads back in the old days,
not the mention having a chapter that seems to be experieced in heavily
punishing defence force.

Hm...That seems like it would definitely be a viable option. It's actually the one that makes the most sense, on the Plasma lines and on the "hard and fast counter" sense.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 22, 2009 2:41 pm

Somehow I doubt that the new DA codex will get the Mortis, seeing as it would either require special arms or a completely new kit with all the weapon options in duplicate. Besides, the only options people would ever take are either the lascannons or the auto cannons.

i agree with Lt. on that, it's highly doubtful that it will make the codex.
even if it did it's even less likely they'll make a model for it. talking about variants i was talking to this kid the other day, and he's making a new chapter the Plasma Knights. it's based on plasma weaponry if ya didn't figure that out. anyway he's made some awesome yet fair rules.
