Pretty much. They had the rejected olympics on here weeks ago, but then (to me) abruptly stopped them. Then again, some of the games were buggy (like the bacon slider). At first I didn't like the jumping frogger game but then I REALLY got into it because it was nearly impossible to get a 20. Once I got it, though, it was actually really easy. The bacon slider gave no one 20 points that I know of, and it (like another game before it) could only work if EVERYONE helped out which is pretty monumental on the user's part. What I hated is I didn't know when the games would end. I was actually waiting for the games to be fixed (since I'm pretty sure bacon slider wasn't giving any 20s and the devs may have reduced the max score to 5) but as I came online (like...maybe less than a week later) the games were already over. I think they should have just released all the games at once instead of having us wait, but perhaps there were too many people for that to occur? However, I remember a dev coming out and saying he released the frogger game too early as a treat for us (but the game wasn't broken, it was just really hard to get a 20, which it SHOULD be hard...) Later I think it was adjusted so that it was easy to get 20s. But I also agree ... it just feels like the admins are just going through the motions, or they just don't want to try anymore. You think Gaia's okay as a whole? The only thing I've been frequenting is the Books subforum and some art threads (one is a contest I want to win).

I completely missed the Olympics event. My problem with all the events is that it takes a serious time investment to get any of dorky items. confused
Like I said, I'm too old to just make posts in threads these days, so I'm limiting my interaction to dressing up my avatar. They haven't really done anything big with that for a few years, but it remains fun to play with the limitations of the system and come up with combinations of which I'm sure no one else has thought.

That's true. Yeah, Gaia doesn't really make an effort to change anything. Just the same old crappy prizes and such. They should think of something different besides creating junk for our inventory. I need to seriously trash tons of items in my inventory.... You know, they probably ended the event early to get ready for the Halloween event (and xmas).
