Sammy nodded to Blade, knowing she was going to annoy him about his hand later, then turned to Squirt and Hiro. "Go-go gadget water!" she called. Squirt Hydro Pumped the great twirl of sand, while Hiro could only Water gun it. Mud began to slap down to the ground, flowing around in a big heap.

x-cupids arrow-x Sammy nodded to Blade, knowing she was going to annoy him about his hand later, then turned to Squirt and Hiro. "Go-go gadget water!" she called. Squirt Hydro Pumped the great twirl of sand, while Hiro could only Water gun it. Mud began to slap down to the ground, flowing around in a big heap. Blade ponders to himself, recalling Flygon. "Armaldo, Aqua Tail the sand, Rhyperior Surf!"The combined water of all the pokemon turns the large wall of spinning sand into a large circular mound of mud, revealing a few Rhyperior, Tyranitar, Aggron and Hippodon on the other side. The Pokemon seem to be protecting a large oil drill. "No wonder the storm was so powerful.. All those combined Pokemon." Blade mumbles, nervous about continuing.

Sammy ran forward, grabbing Squirt and Hiro as if protecting them from the large pokemon. "I don't think we have the power to fight all of them, Blade..." she muttered, holding her pokemon tightly. They were strong, but not that strong.

I fight my way through the driving sand with my Flareon, Maul by my side. We came to train under harsh conditions, but the severity of this sandstorm warranted investigating. Eventually I found myself near a large sand cyclone.
-adget wa- I heard a faint female voice.
-ldo, Aqua T- A moment later, a male voice.
"Sammy? Blade?" I wonder if I'm just hearing things, but then the cyclone turns to mud, and a pack of pokemon appear in the center. And on the other side?...

Blade begins going over various strategies in his head, trying to figure out how to take them. Lucky for the two, the oil workers haven't spotted them, and haven't ordered their Pokemon on them. "I'm not sure we can either...."

"Perhaps this is just something we should let go?" she asked Blade, honestly afraid of anyone getting hurt. She looked backwards; she could have sworn she had heard a voice saying her name...

She looked backwards; she could have sworn she had heard a voice saying her name... Blade looks back to see a familiar figure approach. "Thard." Blade says quietly even through the drilling machine was so loud the workers couldn't hear them anyway. "We can't just let them go... I mean they're tearing apart the natural habitat here! You saw those Tranpinch that were nearly flying...."

From across the oil drill, I realize that Blade has probably spotted me, though luckily the workers hadn't noticed any of us. I tried to think of a way to signal Blade or Sammy without getting unwanted attention.
I also wondered how long it would be before the sand overpowered the mud and became an opaque screen again.
"Well Maul, what do you think? Should we turn this whole blasted cyclone to glass?" I ask my pokemon. She eyes the spiral and gives an affirmative yelp. When the moment is right, we're ready to break through.

Apparently his ball was blown away during the storm. He had already Swords Danced a few times while he was waiting for his trainer to issue an order. "A large earthquake could take them out..."Blade points out, looking back at Thard wondering if he has a plan.

I get a sudden idea. With the wind as bad as it is, anyone inside the cyclone probably can't hear anything going on outside. So I send a message to Blade and Sammy:
Blade, Sammy? Are you guys where I think you are? I thought I saw you on the other side of a sandstorm in the desert.
