Well, the dwarves don't particularily go to war. They have switched to a more isolationist policy since everyone wants to steal the shinies. So, to prevent incursions into the mountains where the rich veins are, we simply play the sniper game.

Des Voh Cale Darksun Des Voh I'm not underestimating the dwarves. But they want to pick a fight with a race of hardened warriors, then let them try. I'm more than sure the death toll on each side will be sky high. Race of hardened warriors?! We have nothing the Dwarves want! We live in a desert for crying out loud! By the way, we're human right? The desert is a melting pot. Humans, Half-Giants, Dromites(Bug-people), Desert Elves(who have their own nation as well), Ifirts, nomadic dinosaur-riding halfings, and the strange Qun'ari. Those are the civilized races aligned with the Desert Nation of the Valr'Sudan. *Rubs eyes* Ok, so we're basically like Arabian Nights stye Bagdad or Carthage: a Cosmopolitan nation which posseses a large trading empire.

The Valenar are the Desert Elves. Which basically are hot-weather Mongolians with magic and a capitol city. Cale, dont listen to Nelo. I'll give you the nessesary information for the Desert, and try and get you access to the forums.

So nothing's changed then.

Maybe not at 900 yards, but a blunderbuss muzzleloader does change the way war is fought in the north. Not many trees for arrows, so we have to use blasting powder and shot to fight back.

I suppose so. The Valenar are allied with the Sudan, which was brought together into a single nation about a thousand years ago by a messiah, think Dune. The current ruler is my character, whose the son of said messiah and a desert elf princess.

Its not like Me and Des are going to go to war against each other. He's got nothing of value for me to even consider expanding our borders any further, and on his end, it'd be a waste to march the entire length of the continent just for a couple piles of gold and silver guarded by some rather strong midgets.

I'll compile a rough essay for you tomorrow on the nation, and PM you several posts. You'll be War Marshal, the highest rank in the nation next to the King and his personal adviser.

No, the battle will be coming from the remnants of the Old Kingdom. So we may even work together.

I'm trying to beat down about three different enemies simultaneously. But that doesn't mean you can't go to war against the other two nations.

The over-all plot is still in development. I've suggested a tournament held by all the nations, to hold over until some real action, but we are supposed to be battling remnants of the Old Kingdom.
