That sounded like a plan to Amalirahc.
"Okay," he agreed, shifting his staff to one hand and taking Miyuki's hand. He tried to shift his grip on his staff as he had seen Alassëa do so effortlessly so many times, but he fumbled with his grip and his staff fell to the ground. He bit his lip and bent down to retrieve it, and he let out an audible sigh of relief when he found it quickly.
"Forward?" he asked, moving his staff in a semi-circle in front of them to feel the ground.

"Yup."
She could feel the path under her feet (the joys of it not being winter or having a cold winter).
"I suppose once we feel a bit cooler we'll know we're indoors."
Well that and the ground will feel different.

"Plus there will be people," Amalirahc pointed out. "And the floor is flagstone instead of cobblestone ..."
He trailed off, wonder filling his mind. He was starting to understand things ... this wasn't going to be so hard after all!
"Come on," he urged Miyuki, picking up the pace slightly.

Miyuki hummed in agreement, and while she didn't want Amalirahc to get carried away she did pick up her pace a bit, and didn't stop until she could feel the cool floor under her feet and felt the temperature difference that came with the shade.
She only slowed down because they had to ask for directions after all.

Once they were inside, Amalirahc stopped so that they could ask directions.
"Has anyone seen Alassëa come through here?" he asked aloud, trusting that there were guards present.
"A few moments ago," a voice replied. "She went in the direction of the dining hall."
"Thanks," Amalirahc grinned, turning towards the right. A maze the castle might be, but leave it to him to know his way to the dining hall, especially from a location as close as the courtyard.

Miyuki followed along, it was a good thing she thought that they were holding hands. Otherwise she might get lost, because she still felt the place was a maze and she didn't know which way to the dining room was.
Though it didn't surprise her that Amalirahc had a better idea.

Amalirahc led the way forward confidently.
"It's a good thing it's just a straight hallway from here to the dining hall," he told Miyuki proudly. "We just have to stop and ask people how far away we are every now and then!"
Of course, he was forgetting the fact that Alassëa might not be in the dining hall, but might have passed it by.

"Is there anywhere Alassea might go pass the dining hall?" Miyuki asked uncertainly.
It seemed like a bit of a strange place to wait, and while she knew Alassea was patient (to have to put up with the two of them) it would probably bore the poor woman out of her mind to wait for them in the dining hall.

Amalirahc frowned to himself. "Huh," he muttered. "Yeah ... I don't know. Maybe."
He shrugged. "I guess we just have to keep asking."
But if all they had to do was ask and follow, then where was the real challenge? What good would the blindfolding do them?

"As long as she didn't turn and then we miss a turn," Miyuki replied.
That was her only worry, that Alassea went somewhere that involved a turn, and they passed that turn completely. After all it wasn't like they were asking every single guard and adjusting to the fact there might be an entrance to another hallway wasn't happening yet.

"Well then we just ask," Amalirahc shrugged. "That's what we've got to do anyways, right?"
Though the thought crossed his mind, maybe they should ask people before they got to the dining hall, just to make sure. Otherwise they would have to do a lot of backtracking, and that would just let her get that much further ahead of them.

"I guess, yes...." Miyuki nodded.
Somehow she didn't think this was going to be easy.
"Maybe we should ask again if they saw her come this way...."
Miyuki didn't remember how many possible intersections there were between from where they started to the dining hall at all.

"Okay," Amalirahc agreed. "Hey, has anyone seen Alassëa pass by here?" He paused, waiting for someone around them to answer.
"What are you two doing?" a female voice asked them, her tone clearly puzzled. "Is this a game of some sort?"

"It's an exercise in getting around without being able to see," Miyuki replied, "It's not over until we find her."
She couldn't place the voice and couldn't imagine who it could be, could be anyone really seeing as they couldn't see.

"Sounds challenging," the voice mused. "I did see her go past here. On her way upstairs, so I assume. You might check her room."
"Well, where's that?" Amalirahc asked blankly.
"I'm not sure," the voice admitted. "I would imagine somewhere near your own rooms. After all, the guests are usually in the same wing, are they not?"
