The same thing happened to my Cat. :[ My Dad thought it would be a good idea to let him outside, since he used to feral. He didnt come back. D;

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but maybe you'll find a replacement one day when you aren't even looking? I had a cat that I named Jakers after a friend... and I had to go away to visit my aunt. While I was gone, instead of taking care of my cat for me, my family just left the cat to fend for itself. Which led to my neighbor "taking it in" like she does for the real strays. Which led to her daughter abusing it, which led to it being terrified of me when I came back and saw it and called for it to come to me and be my shadow like it had been before I had to visit my aunt. But this summer I found another Jakers xd and I bet no one would ever know that I started the whole Jakers thing too xp
