So far my friend kai has tried to tell me Anubis was not the egyptian god of death, and that Ra had power over the dead.
and in another guild i am in, there is a boy who does not know the history of Astral projection/travel and is trying to get to heaven using it.
this same boy posted a chakra chart trying to use it to explain aura colors.
then i am dealing with people not understanding that the swastika was not made up by the nazi's, but was orginally a symbol of peace in india.

Okay I'm sorry I thought all that was pretty much common knowledge...I mean just wow...but ya gatta member that the lot of people are pre-teens to young teens.

Well, the guy in the guild who is going about astral travel and chakra/auras is 19
and my friend kai is about 18-19
and the people with the swastika are those who go to my college.

I do not jest.
i can tolerate a lot. But I am a psychic and I study all of this so that i can do well when people pay me to read their fortunes or do a past life reading, or even and astrological chart. So it very much irks me when people will not listen to the voice of knowledge and open themselves up so that they may learn.

But I am a psychic and I study all of this so that i can do well when people pay me to read their fortunes or do a past life reading, or even and astrological chart. So it very much irks me when people will not listen to the voice of knowledge and open themselves up so that they may learn. .....or at least browse a wiki article for pete's sake! rolleyes I can certainly agree to disagree on the reincarnation....intelligent, peaceful people can....lol--but my heart certainly goes out to you concerning historicity, and the meaning behind words and concepts. It's a very frustrating thing to have those around us completely deny reality and substitute their own. xp

Auradria Riddle So true though not always correct Wiki is a good source for getting info. .....and it's EASY! The guy doesn't even need to leave his computer! No searching a card catalog, no walking into a bookstore--or browsing shelves---all he has to do is plug a few phrases and or words into google! Shyeesh! scream confused I never accused you of denying reality--from what you've said, it's obvious that several of your acquaintances are the ones in need of reacquainting themselves with factual information....but unfortunately, also according to what you've said, at least one of them seems rather closed to being informed.
