-Dessynea- rolleyes
^ This is directed at the school conversation.
Why don't we do only tests? Because A LOT of people are bad test takers, they need that other stuff to bring up their grade. And no being a bad test taker does not mean you don't know the stuff, it just means the whole testing environment makes you too jittery to do well. And yes you might do well with only coming to class and taking the test, but it is well-documented that there are different types of learners and most learners need that homework to help them learn. And before you say, then can't the people who don't need it not have to do it? No, because then it wouldn't be fair and everyone would say they don't need it and that just isn't the case.
And while I always did well and kind of do think school was the biggest waste of life. I also want to point out that the only people you ever see really impassioned about how much it sucks are the people who did badly.
If you want the environment where there is no homework and all tests then go to college.
Sorry but I get so annoyed by those school conversations. I haven't even been on Gaia a year, and I've seen the exact same conversation three or so times. And it is so full of holes that it is ridiculous.
EDIT: I had a big wall of text before, but, I realized that the homework that I'm talking about might be different from what you think it might be. For us, it was, basic translations in Japanese, word games or paragraphs answering questions about a short novel, questions in a math booklet, more questions, and well, questions. Not even hard questions or, or, questions that make you think. "What year did x event happen? Read pages ___ to ___ in Textbook A." Or, "Draw a sperm cell and label the parts."
Literally, the homework for us, was simple. You could do it with a textbook, actually, you were supposed to do it with a textbook. It was no doubt there to help people bring/steady their marks, but as I said and many teachers told me, it was pretty much a waste of time, since all it did was grade your ability to read a textbook. Essays didn't count as homework for us, since you weren't allowed to write them at home and they were only done in class.nThen the only homework that made any sense were the projects, that only came out in the grade 12 classes, and it was only for Social Studies. > .<

Yeah, but they'll end up being super expensive.
On an unrelated note, I wanna cosplay someone for the rest of the month, as a Halloween avi, but I don't know who.
Hey Reg. =)

So I had a really vivid dream where I was at a release party for a 3DS L4D game. Called Left 4 Dead Survivors.
It was a third person remake of L4D1 with all the guns, melee weapons and other stuff from l4d2... I wish it were an actual game cause I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

Your result for The Final Fantasy Job Class Test ... Beastmaster 44% physical, 50% magic, 67% versatile, and 67% good Also known as the Trainer. You are fond of animals, almost to the point where you seem to have a special bond with them. This leads to you occasionally being able to direct beasts to do what you want them to do, even to attack other creatures in the area.
