"Is that what I think it is?" Arlen asked excited as he walked over to Lily, carrying a sandwich and a glass of milk.

"Maybe." Lily teased with a wink, then giggled and nodded. "Yup! It's all ready to go. You should probably eat before I hand it over though." she added, nodding sagely.

"Worried I'll forget?" Arlen asked, taking a bite out of his sandwich.

"A little." she murmured, smiling at him. "You might get all caught up in the excitement and go kitty before eating. That would be sad."

Arlen smiles as he gulps down the rest of his milk. "See all done. Now may I please have it?"

Laughing, Lily nodded and took the top off of the small white box and handed it over. Nestled inside was a small silver charm in the shape of cat; when the light hit it a certain way, it took on an iridescent sheen. "It's on a chain right now that'll fit around your neck." she told him softly. "You can tuck it right under your clothes; and it's a pretty subtle spell until you activate it, so no one will really know that it's magicked."

Arlen smiled. "So clever you are," he said as he took the pendant out of the box, almost shaking with excitement. Gently he fixed the chain around his neck and waited for something to happen.

Lily grinned at him, then kissed his cheek. "You forgot to ask for the magic words." she teased, then took his hand and held it over the pendant so it was touching his skin. "Suil chait." she murmured softly, then pulled her hand back as the spell began to work, a green light covering Arlen as it transformed him into a calico cat with a patch of fur around one eye that was the same color as his hair; around his neck was a collar from which the pendant dangled.

Arlen blinked a few times and then mewed happily at Lily before walking in a circle, trying to examine his body and get used to it at the same time.

Giggling, Lily watched Arlen, setting the box top aside. Then she reached down and lightly ran her hand over his back as he walked and smiled at the feel of his fur. "So, what do you think love?"

Arlen almost shivered as Lily pet him and walked closer to her hoping she'd do it again, on partly wondering how he was supposed to change back.

Lily smiled and gently picked Arlen up, cuddling him close as one hand continued to pet him. "When you want to get back to being you, just picture yourself in your mind, as vividly as you can, and will yourself to change." she told him softly, then rubbed his head. "You're a cute li'l thing, aren't you? Oh! And, unlike me, you'll even still get to have clothes on when you change back."

Arlen closed his eyes and purred lighlty as Lily pet him, taking in what she was saying, but enjoying this new sensation none the less. After a few wonderful moments he regretfully hopped out of Lily's arms and pictured himself in his mind vividly as she instructed.

Lily very nearly pouted when he left, having been enjoying petting him and the sound of his purr herself. She smiled again though as the light again flared around Arlen; when it faded, he would be himself again.
