Blackened Heart Sucubi Time for my name input. Stalker and Saber. best i could come up with. (i like viagra. Lol made my day better) Stalker sounds neat, but I'm not sure if it's fitting.. I'm seeing this as a tank that rolls up, kills everything, moves on. XD Saber.. Hmm...

If going by name then I must say that the Stalk tank already exists.

I agree, Stalker is more fitting for a Land Speeder variant. That or a Dark Eldar vehicle. >.>"
Sabre sounds ok, goes perhaps betterly if it was a Melta-Predator. Glaymore might be a fitting choice, messy business when shooting with plasma weapons, no? :3

"Fate/stay night" was my first reaction to Saber... :3 you can see her here: Also "Claymore" anime/manga popped out at the sound of its namesake. IMHO Executor is best so far, in line with Predator, Vindicator and Terminator (last one being one man tank razz ). If we go with sword "suffix" classification, then: melta wariant - gladius - short ranged but deadly lascannon variant - rapier - precise and piercing plasma cannon - claymore - powerful and messy :3 gatling punisher - katana - scythes thru flesh and bone easily Your takes?

Evok, the Lascannon variant has been scrapped.
Gladii were used by highly trained warriors often ONLY AS A SECONDARY WEAPON. Most Roman Hoplites were trained to use Pila first and foremost to destroy enemies at range before their Gladii were even needed.
For Claymores, which sort? Do you mean the William Wallace style zweihander Claymore with the extended ricosso, or do you mean the Scottish longsword style claymore? Either way, neither were widely used because they were ineffective a lot of the time. Claymores were used either BY cavalry or AGAINST cavalry, for the sheer sake that it didn't take much to kill with the target was moving that fast.
Rapiers require a sidearm, as they are primarily a stabbing weapon. Yes, precise. Yes, piercing. Yes, ineffective against plate mail because the point couldn't get through the goddamn plates. Effective against ring mail, yes, and effective against things like gambesons and padded jacks. However, Rapiers WERE NOT an anti-armor weapon.
Katana...*sigh* A Punisher cannon takes out swaths at a time. A katana, unlike how it is depicted in anime and Kill Bill, is a weapon for single combat. The front liners in armies commanded by Shogun were not Samurai. They were peasants, given modified farm scythes and spears to fight and die for the people that ruled over them. A naginata, maybe. An Odachi, maybe. Not a katana.
That's my take.

hmmm lets start again... what about atmospheric phenomena? thunderbolt, lightning, whirlwind, all taken by 40k vehicles hurricane and cyclone seem devastating enough but feel good only for the dakka variant (gatling) I am starting to STOP envy GW codex authors...

I think that happened when I suggested that either the rate of fire was to be fixed or when the price was dropped. But in the end was a very un-mariney weapon to go with.
