"NO!" Caleb shouted from his room. He had just received Rei's message on his TADs.

After the last trip back home, Caleb was a little reluctant to go. Not to mention he had just been there recently already. He still hadn't recovered from last time. Marshtomp stood there with his arms folded. The expression on his face said it all.

You're going Caleb.

After what sounded like a small scuffle in Caleb's room, Caleb was dragged out of the room. His Marshtomp pulled him along, wearing his backpack. To the meeting spot they went!

Rei smiled faintly at Caleb's Marshtomp.

"Glad you two could make it," he said to the grouchy Caleb. "I was hoping you would be able to help us out." He then waved his greetings upon Maddy's approach.

Rei scratched his head, unsure how to start.

"Well, I wanted to head off to Ambrette Town for a little exploring, but there's safety in numbers, so I'm glad others wanted to go, too," he started, ignoring Caleb's audible harumph and Marshtomp's subsequent snicker. "I've been doing a bit of research on the area, and I ran into a wall, so to speak.

"As you may or may not know, research in the prehistoric times is sketchy, at best. Lots of people have lots of different explanations as to how the world was formed. Some say it was all the divine work of Arceus, while others point to Deoxys. Me, I think it was all a little more complex than that, but I haven't been able to gather enough data to support my claims yet." He coughed.

"Which is why I would like to to to Ambrette Town. I've heard recently that they have an underwater cavern system, and I'd like to retrieve some samples of the rocks there. Of course, you all are welcome to join me."

Maddy yawned and stretched.
"Sounds like it could be potentially terrifying... I'm in!" She was a die-hard adrenaline junky and loved the thrill of stuff like that.
"Although, it'll probably be safe as long as we have Water-type Pokemon with us."
Besides, Maddy was super excited to try out her new bikini. She just wasn't a wet suit kind of person. Plus, swimming doubled as an excuse to not wear her eye patch.

Rei shook his head in response to Dark's question. "It shouldn't be a problem. As long as you have at least one Water-type to help you navigate the caverns, we should be ok assuming we don't come across any currents."

Rei turned to Maddy.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to use the submarine to get to Ambrette Town. We could also take it near the entrance of the caverns."

Rei hopped in the submarine, glad that they wouldn't be teleporting for a change. He patiently waited for the rest of the group in the meantime, wishing his Zubat could join him on the underwater adventure. He imagined his Zubat wearing a bubble helmet and smiled. She'd look adorable with scuba gear.

Caleb was pushed into the submarine by his Marshtomp. He scooted to the back, grumbling a bit. His Marstomp sat down beside him, grinning wide.

Yay for another adventure!

Maddy entered the submarine after everyone else.
She sat herself in the pilot's seat and pressed a button to close the outside door of the sub and the door to the airlock compartment. The doors made a loud 'click!', indicating that they had securely locked. Maddy put the key in the ignition and turned, the engine roaring to life. The submarine was much louder than before, indicating it was much more powerful. Luckily, it had a switch to quiet it down during times where stealth was needed.
She set the submarine to travel at a specific depth in the river (it adjusted itself as needed once the number was put in) and off they went. She decided to manually pilot the sub today, to get a feel for the new control board.
"This thing is so neat!" She commented, amazed by all the shiny new glowy buttons she had in front of her now.

Rei grinned, oblivious to Caleb's woes.

"Great!"

They rode in the sub for a good while. Eager to start, Rei called over his shoulder.

"Hey, Maddy, how much longer until we're there?" In response, she smirked and pulled the submarine into a rise. The sudden movement was felt among all the passengers. With a splash, Aqua's submarine shot up from the water.

"We're here!" she yelled triumphantly. The group clambered out of the submarine and arrived in Ambrette Town. The group rushed into the aquarium.

Rei went over to the reception desk. "Hello. I was wondering if there would be anyone available to let us borrow some diving gear."

The receptionist chewed her bubble gum and stared at the group.

"You guys know how to use diving gear?"

"Erm..."

"I didn't think so. I'll go get someone to help you out," she said, rising from her seat and disappearing into a room.
