Red eyes appear in the blackness of the cavern as a beast roars, causing the whole cave to shake with an unearthly presence. Ginji jumps as the roar illuminates several torches, producing black flames that give off white light. "Who dare disturb my SLUMBER!" the Pokemon said as the rest of its body appears from the shadows.
Ginji looked in shock as a Darkrai stood before the team, covered in a cloak of shadows and lacking a Shadow Pokemon's Aura. Without waiting for an explanation, he releases his own Darkrai, as the two Darkrai stare at each other, a blue glow starts at the back of the cave, in the outline of a Gear.
"I assume you-" Ginji's Darkrai started.
"Yes. And I assume you-" the new Darkrai cut off.
"Also yes." Ginji Darkrai said as it disappeared inside it's Masterball. "I will leave you to your duties." it said as it disappeared.
The new Darkrai roared one more time before it multiplied, splitting itself into however many Aqua members there were. "Looks like we gotta fight this illusion. I won't pretend to know what's going on. But it seems...important." Ginji smirked as he grabbed a Pokeball from his belt.

Sammy took the note off of her head, growling at Tommy. "You're one plucked nerve away from being Squirt's lunch," she hissed, obviously very annoyed. It didn't help that it was extremely hot. Sammy watched, seeing that Blade had gotten his water. She looked around at the Darkrai, grabbing a pokeball. "How're we supposed to beat them?" she asked rather calmly.

Seeing the blue light at the back, Tommy exclaims "Ooh, ooh, pick me! I know what it is! It's a Tim---" Tommy's mouth is covered by a Dark hand. Marshtomp appears, and Mudshot's the Illusion away from his Trainer. A battle ensues.

"How're we supposed to beat them?" she asked rather calmly. "It's a physical illusion, it should put up a fight scaled to your rank and Pokemon team level." Ginji smiled as he sent out his first Pokemon.

Order: Darkrai, Marshtomp.
Darkrai started with a Dark Void, putting Marshtomp to sleep. Marshtomp used Sleep Talk, and used Mud Shot, lowering Darkrai's Speed. Darkrai's ability hurt Marshtomp. Unexpectedly, Marshtomp muttered "uhh... Ice Beam..." and Darkrai was somehow frozen. After more damage to Marshtomp, he muttered Blizzard this time, hurting Darkrai even further. Darkrai remained frozen. Marshtomp was hurt even more from his Bad Dreams. Then, after waking up, Marshtomp used Ice Beam again. Darkrai awoke, and used faint attack, scoring a hit without fail, which almost knocked Marshtomp out due to previous injuries and Bad Dreams. Marshtomp finally won with a Mud Shot, making the illusion dissapear.
Tommy waited for everyone else to finish. "what a strong illusion..." Tommy muttered under his breath, returning Marshtomp. Machoke came out, and stood next to his trainer.

This Darkrai didn’t really speak; it was actually very quiet. Sammy released Troy, the Hitmonchan, and the battle began. Darkrai started by using Pursuit on Troy, hitting him smack-dab in the gut. He stumbled backwards, getting his fists ready. Luckily, Darkrai was weak to fighting-type moves. Troy leapt at Darkrai, punching him as if leaping towards the sky in a Sky Uppercut. Darkrai gasped, surprised that the attack had hurt so much. It was now VERY angry. It created a Blizzard that swarmed around Troy, doing a good amount of damage. Troy leapt forward, this time with a Mega Punch. How much fun was that move! Darkrai panted, now tired from the fighting moves. It knew this was its last chance. It hurled a dark, shadowy blob at Troy, knocking him backwards into the wall of the cave. He was almost fainted, his body so weak he could barely move. He used the move he knew would do the job; Counter. Darkrai, or the illusion of it, disappeared. Sammy grinned, returning her weakened pokemon after thanking him.

Ginji smirked as Snorlax appeared on the field, absorbing Darkrai's Dark Void. With a Sleep Talk, it produces a solid Brick Break, hitting super effective. Darkrai's Bad Dreams took effect as Snorlax dozed. The nightmare Pokemon roared as it used Nightmare, producing even more bad dreams.
Snorlax woke up, and it used an epic Seed Bomb, attacking Darkrai with the power of the earth. Darkrai attacked with a Dark Pulse, dropping Snorlax's HP down to near fatal levels. With the final move of Sesimic Toss, Darkrai disappeared into the abyss.

Blade watched the Darkrais confused.
"Uh... Okay... Anyway It's just a Dark type..."
"Go Breloom!" Blade shouts throwing a Pokeball. Breloom appears, ready to fight the illusion. Darkrai glares back at the pokemon calmly.
"Mach Punch!"
Breloom vanishes and appears in front of Darkrai, and slams a fist into it's chest area. Darkrai flies backwards, stopping itself before it hits the wall. It then raises it's hands and engulfs Breloom into a Dark Void, putting it to sleep.
Breloom appears to be having a nightmare and takes damage.
"C'mon, wake up! Spore!"
Breloom continues to sleep.
Darkrai then speeds towards Breloom and takes a bite out of it's head, it's body phases through it, leaving no physical damage.
With it's dreams eaten for super effective damage, Breloom collapses and is recalled. Darkrai now appears to be fully recovered.
"Dammit... C'mon out, Armaldo!" Armaldo appears and Blade hands it a Lum berry to hold.
Darkrai once again uses Dark Void and puts Blade's Pokemon to sleep. Armaldo then heals with the Lum berry.
"X-Scissor!"
Armaldo charges towards Darkrai and slashes it with a super effective move, doing a large amount of damage.
Darkrai then releases a Dark Pulse, hitting Armaldo hard.
Armaldo flinches unable to move.
Darkrai shoots off another Dark Pulse, almost KOing Armaldo.
"Again, X-Scissor!"
Armaldo slashes at the illusion with all it's might. It connects, sending Darkrai into a wall, the illusion explodes into a cloud of black smoke upon connecting with the wall.
"...Good job Armaldo... You beat a Darkrai..."
Blade then grins and recalls his Pokemon.

Sammy stretched, hearing her back crack painfully again. She wiped the sweat from her forehead. "Wow... So hoooot..." she sighed.

Adam released Megiddo, the growlithe barking at the Doppleganger Darkrai. "Megiddo, Flamethrower!" the Darkrai attacked, charging up and firing a shadow-ball. A hit like that from a legendary should've finished Megiddo off, but it looked like Ginji had been right. The Growlithe Fired a stream of flame at the darkness pokemon.
"Alright, Take Down!" Megiddo charged at the Darkrai, who summoned a gust of spooky sounding wind. Ominous Wind. Growlithe collided with the pseudo-legendary, taking it to the ground, where it faded into shadow.
"Where'd it go?" Adam looked around, trying to figure what had happened. Growlithe looked around, before a shadow appeared behind it. The Darkrai slashed down, having used Faint Attack.
"Try Reversal!" The Darkrai had inflicted enough damage to make the attack a powerful one. As Growlithe attacked, the copy disintergrated.
"Good job Mej." Adam said, as the growlithe gave him a lick before being returned.

With all the illusions defeated, the stone torches that produced black flame turned to white and a Gear-like object appeared. "Eh, whatever. Not like I did this for anything." Ginji smirked, watching the Gear spin in mid air. He grabbed his DigiDex and uploaded the data of the object,
"Not that I even wanted that." Ginji sighed. "Let's head back to HQ." the boy said as he looked to Dark. "If that's what you want to do." he laughed.

Machoke starts karate chopping Sammy in the back, trying to fix her back. Tommy didn't tell him to do so. "well, let's see... HA I KNEW IT WAS A TIMEGEAR!!" Tommy gloated. "ok, lets go~" Tommy said, now happy. He unfroze Blade's mouth.
