Hellhound is okay, the Devil Dog is better though. surprised

Indeed, but the devil dog's a blast weapon, sure that does get infantry still and blows tanks up, but only if it's a direct hit it's only really effective. I like flame template weapons due to that they don't scatter and if fortunate (If the enemy is stupid enough to try not to avoid it) engulfs plenty of models.

So really I would have to prefer the hellhound, it's still capable of barbecuing enemy tanks and scattering enemy infantry who can't relying upon their cover and are toast if they don't move.

Yeah, the Hellhound is great for anything up to AV11. Then you get too irregular on damaging tanks. If your dice aren't full of suck, placing a blast template on the center of the tank will relatively ensure a hit.

Does the hellhound still suffer from exploding whenever it is glanced?

Nope, it's a bog standard (Fast) tank now. It does have an amusing secondary use now that if the Inferno Cannon gets knocked off, you can point the thing at a tank 18" or so away and STR 10 TANK SHOCK KEKEKE. Sure, the Hellhound will probably assplode in a ball of fire, but the other tank won't be looking too healthy either.

Wow, the Hellhound kit is really, really neat. The four massive fuel tanks in the rear are a nice touch, especially paired with the ramp that can actually drop.

And best of all, the hull sprue shows that the new Basilisk / Griffon / Medusa kit is not far off.

Had no idea they were going to come out with kits for those tanks?

The codex gave some indication with the new technical drawings for some tanks. We're still getting a new Russ/ Vanquisher/Exterminator/Eradicator kit and a Basilisk/Griffon/Medusa kit at the very least. Seeing as the Hellhound kit already includes some parts for the artillery tank hull we can expect them to arrive either around December (very optimistic) or Summer next year (very realistic)

So yeah, I got a bunch of Death Korps and 4 Chimera's from a guy for a pretty good deal. So good, in fact that the guy decided that bubble wrap is a luxury on a trip across the Atlantic.

Yeaaah, that's the last thing you want to see when you open a parcel. So, after arranging the wounded from the miraculously intact, I ended up with this scene:

Yeah, so how much did you pay for them and be sure to give the seller a very negative feedback if bought from E-bay.

Put him against 3 Land Raiders.
Or as many as you can fit in a 2k list, with two squads of Marines and a captain.
And his list is screwed.
