K raised an eyebrow at the name comment. "Heh... K is just fine." He smiles. "It's an honor, Tavin."
He watches as Cora rushes to feed Tavin, he's reminded a bit of the way he gets treated back home, and almost feels nervous seeing her act that way, he also wonders...
"Captain...?"

*Maggie waits a moment before addressing Tavin again, clearing her throat awkwardly* Tavin . . . I must apologize te ye for the way I acted, last I saw ye. I thought ye were trying te say . . . well. *she shakes her head, as though she could shake away the thought as well* I let my fears get the better of me, and I'm sorry.

*Maggie freezes at Tavin's words, all color draining instantly from her face* He . . . *her voice comes out in a choked whisper* . . he's after Will . . . ? *she looks at him, wide-eyed, not wanting to believe what she just heard*

Yes, Maggie. He is. He wants to get at me through you. And the way to do that is to get Will. I was trying to prevent him from doing so when... he .... got me.

K is startled when Maggie drops down to the floor, he acts on his innitial impulse and quickly kneels beside her. He wraps one hand around her back and grasps her shoulder, does the same for the side closer to him. He has nothing to say as far as consolation, he just looks up at Tavin and Cora for support of his own. He was beginning to understand the seriousness, and it was seriously quite confusing. Somehow he still felt detached from it all.

:::Where Cora hesitated, K took the lead. She didn't have that inate impulse that linked contact with consolation. Instead she waited, standing, in case there was a task assigned to her more executable from an upright position... It was so hard seeing Maggie this way, she began to feel more helpless:::

*She registers K's hands on her shoulders, but at this point the contact is little comfort. She'd seen the results of Tavin's attempt to protect her son . . . and she wants to believe him when he says they'll find a way, but how can she risk it?*
*Maggie just shakes her head and whispers to Tavin* ... it nearly did, already . . . . *she takes in a slow shaky breath and raises her head, looking first over to where Bard was sitting. She realizes he's faded out, and closes her eyes again for a moment. When she opens them to look back at Tavin, they're filled with tears* Send me away. Ye can block people from this place . . . . Please. Send me away and keep me away.
