Mephlius laughed a bit at the ears comment. He tried to hold still while se fiddled around with his hair. "I know you worry... you worry too much, though. I know because I spend so much effort trying to calm you down!" He smiled.

Amnity pretended to be offended. "Well what do you expect! You almost get into as much trouble as I do!" The key word bieng almost. She smiled though, combing her fingers through his hair and making another trim. She was silent for a minute, then she spoke again. "Do I really worry that much?"

Mephlius gave off a small chuckle. "Yes!" He thought of an example. "Remember when I got shot by that silver nitrate bullet? I told you I'd be fine, Gail told you I'd be fine... and all the people I'd ever seen get hit by them before were fine. But... you still gave 3 pints of your own blood to try and save me!" Despite the morbid tale, he was smiling. "I thought you'd never calm down..."

Amnity smiled a bit, but she remembered how much she worried for him when that happened. "Well what was I supposed to do? Just sit there and watch you writhe in pain? It worked didn't it?" She snipped off another bit of his hair before patting the lock back in place. There wasn't a huge difference in his hair cut, only that it was getting just a bit shorter. "It was of no consequence. And I never promised that I won't do something like that again."

"And that's exactly my point. Yes, you were justified in doing it... you were just so worried!" Mephlius smiled. "And I spent the whole time trying to calm you down."

"Well..." Amnity tried to find something to say to that. "...I love you. Of course I'd worry too much." That seemed to be tipping the 'love and violence' scale a bit more, but it didn't seem to matter now. She smiled, standing on her tip toes as she tried to get to the hairs that were closer to his face. She then stepped out from behind him. "Can you turn your head to the right a bit?"

Mephlius turned his head to the right, as instructed. "I love you too.. but that's why I keep trying to calm you down."

Amnity leaned forward a bit and shook her head. "Not that way, this way." She held his head and turned him to face her. She smiled. Now she could reach the top of his head. Even when he's sitting down he's pretty tall. She tried to work on the hairs on the top of his head with both hands. "Don't move, alright?" Amnity continued her method. taking a lock of hair, trimming it, and patting it back in place.

Amnity was focused on her work, not moving or saying anything for a whole minute. She then stepped back, crossing her arms and examining the progress she made so far. With a smile, she continued. She held his head, tilting it forward a bit to get the last bit. "I'm sorry if I worry too much Mephlius...I'm just scared for you..." Amnity then laughed and shook her head. "I'm sorry. I don't know what I'm saying."

"It's okay Am." Mephlius smiled. "I'd be more concerned if you weren't so worried about me!" He gave a light laugh, trying his best to hold still.

Amnity smiled, then turned his head back so he would be facing the mirrors again. Now those pesky bangs over his forehead. She stood in front of him, leaning forward a bit and taking a lock of his bangs. Slowly, she cut a bit off the top, so the hair won't get in the way of his eyes anymore. "There!"
The only main difference really is that his hair was shorter and neater. It wasn't like she shaved him bald or managed to shave patches of his hair off. Amnity looked around the sink and grabbed one of his combs. She combed his hair a bit, then moved out of the way so he could see the mirror. "I think I did a pretty good job....How about you?" She chuckled, ruffling his hair, giving it a rugged look.

Amnity chuckled a bit, taking the white towel around his neck off. She saw bits of Mephlius' cut black hair on the floor, so she stepped outside and looked around for a broom and dustpan. She was hoping that he wouldn't notice she was stalling. "Thanks. It's just something I thought I should do myself."

"If you weren't so good at murdering the unholy... and with a little training, you could be a hairstylist!" Mephlius grinned, and stood up. "Sleep, then violence?"
