Duelist of Pokemon

Jen resisted smacking Zen at that last part of the sentence, instead choosing the fiddle with her bandana, pulling at the threads at had come loose. "Really now? That's a pretty interesting though, my friend." Laughing, she tossed the faded bandana from hand to hand. "What other pokemon would you be if you could?"

As they talked, Aden eyed the Sentret waving up at him. He laided there on Jen's head before suddenly rearing up and doing Scary Face at the other pokemon with an evil (but mischievious) smile on his face.

"SHUPPET SHUP!"

"Hey now!" Jen prodded the teal pokemon, sighing as his blanket-like body curled up around her hand. Bringing him down, she shoved the shuppet-wrapped hand at Zen and his pokemon. "Apologize, Aden! That wasn't a nice way to greet someone! And don't say it was a joke either!"

"Shuuuu....."

Mm… time for dinner, Alastair figured, making his way back to Wagon One. Only when he was closer did he notice the snores tearing into the night. Well, this would be awkward… it was always a little awkward to step over a sleeping body in order to get something out of the wagons. For Alastair, this was even more awkward since the sleeper in question was Effie. He had done very well without thinking about her all day, thank you very much, and didn’t want to think about her now either. He simply grabbed his knapsack and returned to the fresh air outside.

Now… what to have for dinner. Alastair scratched his chin as he considered the contents. Well, he had some nuts and berries, since Con would never, in a thousand years, eat such buneary food. But Alastair didn’t want that either… it took a bit more searching before he found the little breakfast sausages that he had bought in Motterossa. Apparently, Con had overlooked those. That was fine with Alastair! Within a few moments, he had a few frying over the fire as he considered, once again, the predicament of the trainers.

Work would probably continue long into the night, he supposed. Any pokémon digging now would be exhausted and useless by morning, unless they worked out some sort of shift. And when you were venturing into a dark cave… that was one time when you wanted fully functional and awake pokémon. Speaking of fully functional and awake… his eyes gazed at Con for a while, wondering just how well the pale houndoom would hold up to being in a cavern again.

Kira grinned and pulled him with her. "Ohhhh no! You need to keep me company while I cook! Besides.... we still sort of need to get to know one another." She gave him a playful wink as they arrived at the wagon with the food, and she began searching for ingredients.

Katie moved from cleaning Adele's hair to starting to clean his ear.

"Mm...that's a tough question. Probably a Glaceon though, because I love the cold, and their defense mechanism is so cool, forgive the pun." He chuckled, leaning against the wagon wall.

"SENTRET!" The little pokemon cowered in fear, skttering back to Zen's lap crying. She was shivering fiercely, covering up her eyes with her paws.

"Reeeet." She sobbed, not looking at the Shuppet as Jen tried to make him apologize.

"Oh, don't be like that. He was just playing with you." Zen told the litte sugar glider-esque pokemon.

"We accept your apology." He smiled, patting the little ghost pokemon on the head.

"Oh Jen, if you could be any pokemon, what would it be?"

Adele sighed softly as he was pulled after her. Standing outside the wagon as she went looking for the food. He saw Lock walk by. "Um..lock...could you ask Faraon to blast me with water gun? a mild one?" He said, putting Katie down on the wagon.

The healer gave him a funny look but asked Faraon to do so. The feline grinned widely before hitting the dark-haired human with the water attack.

Adele was thrown back onto his rear. "....I said mild!"

"That was mild....." Lock laughed and walked away, Faraon following, purring.

User Image"Deli!" Caddie gave a last chop to another boulder, and as it crumbled to pebbles she flopped backwards onto her behind. Fin chuckled weakly as she rolled away a last boulder of her own. She supposed that was her cue to stop. Realizing she was practically covered in mud, Fin trekked down to the small pond that a few other trainers had used to clean off, carrying an equally-muddy Caddie with her.

Once there, the trainer stripped herself of her vest and boots, rolled her pants up to her knees, and waded in up to her ankles. She cleaned her arms, legs, and face as well as she could while still mostly clothed. Fin would have preferred to take a full-scale bath, but given the lack of a way to ensure her privacy, she wasn't about to risk her modesty. Returning to the shore, she cupped water into her hands and did her best to wipe down her Delibird, failing to do it particularly well. After a few moments, Caddie woke up enough to clean herself, and succeeded in removing the mud entirely. She began to preen her feathers, but her trainer scooped her up into her arms. "You can finish that when we get back to the wagon," Fin told her Pokémon. "I want to rest, too, you know." She started hiking back up toward wagon two, discarded clothes in her hand.

Returning to her wagon once again, Riza sighed. Everyone had been busy, and she didn't want to bother them...so...yeah...

"Maybe there's a pond nearby!" she exclaimed to the air.

She wandered away from the main camp area to go look for one. Or at least some body of water somewhere.

"Honestly, if i'm gunna be keeping a ghost pokemon like this fellow around, I might need a leash or something!" Laughing at the thought, Jen watched as Aden shifted from her hand to perch on his trainers' knee.
"Me? Hm....tough choice. Im gunna have to say....Vaporeon or Pikachu. It's a pretty close tie between the two. Pikachu for it's awesome cuteness plus electrical abilities. Vaporeon for it's awesome defense and it's ability to blend into water with Acid Armor. Not to mention the coolness of holding your breath for a long time."

As the two humans spoke, Aden slithered towards the scared Sentret and reached to touch it's paw with the edge of it's "body". Closing his eyes, Aden grinned as the fear and other dark emotions the Sentret was feeling filled his own belly.

"Shup!"

Withdrawing, Aden scooted back and stared at Sentret with apology in his red eyes. It was the only way he could think of to make her feel better.....

Kira came back with arms full of ingredients and looked at Adele who was now drenched. ".....Fuyuki?" She asked, looking around for her Suicune, assuming that he would be the one who caused the poor guy to be so wet. Though, it did strike her curios that Adele wasn't more injured if he'd been hit with a Hydro Pump.

Katie looked up at Adele with worry in her eyes, she hoped the human was alright; she liked this one.

Adele got up and reached into his backpack, grabbing out a towel. "No....Faraon..." he mumbled out, he was alright.

"Interesting choices. Very interesting." Zen nodded in approval. For once, they were bonding, and not hitting each other or throwing insults around. Which was good, he guessed.

"Alright, new question. IF you could catch any pokemon in the world, what would it be?"

Sentret felt her fear and sadness leave her, and she turned around to see the blanket like ghost looking at her apologetically. Giving him a weak smile, she nodded. "Ret."

Zen noticed another wagon mate of theirs, Fin, walking towards the wagon. "Oi, Fin, come join the pow-wow!" He called, grinning.

Kira frowned a little. "I'm going to give them both an earful the next time I see them." She stated, not liking that Adele was being treated so; as far as she could see, he meant Lock no harm at all and the healer was beginning to act like an immature child.

Taking the ingredients, she brought them over to the fire and went back, grabbing a few pans and beginning cooking.

"Ah, here we are!" Riza said happily, finding a small stream, "It's freezing!"
She put her hand in the water and most of the grime came off, which was good. It felt much better anyway. In any case, she just wanted to rinse her hands, arms, and face off for the most part. She didn't think she could sleep like that.

She unwrapped her make-shift bandage and looked over the cut. It wasn't as bad as she had though...one of those you could leave alone and if you didn't mess with it it would eventually heal on it's own.

Sticking her hands in the water, she had expected the cut to sting, but the cold steam water numbed her so it actually felt better. Humming to herself, she rinsed off her face and arms, then took her bandanna and rinsed that off as well. The blood would probably stain, but that was fine.

Standing up, she looked around and stretched. It was nice....quiet, and peaceful--not at all a hectic scene like at the camp.

I should get back, she thought, watching the sky darken. Wetting the bandanna, she re-wrapped it around her hand and started to head back.
