Using this as an excuse to make an entrance the orange ferretlynx walked in from upstairs.
"Actually this place has been with my family for almost 100 years. Only recently being converted into a cafe. Before it was a cafe we used it as a high end inn for travelers."
Taking a pause to look around to make sure he wasn't talking to himself he continued.
"People stopped coming about ten years ago though, probably to do with the incident... But once I got my paws on it I fixed it up with some help and turned it into what we have now" he finished with a smile.

Felix's ears flattened against his head.
Damn, he was wrong!
Usually he could tell the age of the wood that helped make up the structure of this place, but then he remembered a certain detail.
His techniques only worked on living trees, and the wood for this place had been long dead.
"I was way off..." He whimpered.

"Oh no you weren't, we had some of the boards replaced because they were starting to rot. The rest of them are quite aged though." He giggled, trying to make Felix feel better.

Felix looked up and giggled, but he still felt like a dweeb.
"I helps for tracking, but... Not really for urban areas like this," He explained.
It was quite an epic fail, because he was a city boy.
What use has a city boy like him have for such superior tracking skills.

Smacking his paw to his forehead the young ferret shook his head.
"I'm so sorry, you already did tell me that. You see in my travels I meet so many people and sometimes I forget who told me what. Could I offer you anything to make up for my blunder?" Tae said quite awkwardly.

"Well I am going to grab myself something to eat, I am thinking something fishy; it must be the kitty in me" Tae grinned before walking back to the kitchen, tail swishing in tow.

Laz's stomach growled, then, and he looked away from his perusal of the Cafe to face the counter again, and held a paw up.
" Excuse me, but is there any lunch items I could purchase? I'm kinda hungry...."

He walked over and sat down on a stool, next to Drew.
"Gosh, I just looked silly..." He said softly.

Drew happily let the conversation between the cat and ferret go on, glad to see them getting along. "You did not~ Silly kitty~" He giggled and gave a quick lick over Felix's cheek.

Rocky spun on his barstool quickly, singing out; "Wheeeee!" He was just being silly. "Hey Tae! Can you get me asalmon ihle you're back there, please?"
