*Sepsis moved her head and looked down at her own rounded belly. The foal she beared hadnt moved at all, while the other mares seemed to have the most restless little foals. Her heart began to beat faster and she paced around in random patterns, had it died?*

Diamond looked at Sepsis prancing. "Sepsis is something wrong?" She snorted tossing her head having a feeling of what Sepsis was prancing about.

Kipcha looked at Ghost worridly again, the matted parts of her mane being washed away. She watched Sepsis with her ears back. "Sepsis?" The mares pranceing set her more on edge and she started to flick her tail nervously. The rain should have been cooling her, but she was worked up enough so that it didn't.

What if it's dead...What if when my foal is born..It's dead!!?

Kipcha knew all to well what it felt like to lose a newborn, her own first foal died before he touched the ground. She walked over to Sepsis "Now now Sepsis. Don't get yourself worked up about this now. Your foal will be fine." She nuzzled Sepsis with a sad look of remembrence in her eyes. Ghost was the only one in the herd that knew about her first foal and how she had lost it.

*Casper knew he hadnt gotten Dreamcloud pregnant, she knew it, too. She relaxed under the somewhat dry canopy of a big willow tree, as Casper grazed a little bit and Sepsis became more and more stressed.*

*Sepsis stopped pacing and stood still, the rain lightened to a sprinkle and inbetween breaths she felt the slightest, softest, and weakest push against her spine. She knealt down and lay on her side, letting the rain which fell in more abundance once again caress her coat.*

Kipcha watched the mare and returned to Ghost's side. She raised her face to the rain, her skin still hot from the sun.

Diamond watched Sepsis who was now lieing in the rain cooling off. She felt very sad for the mare. What happened if Sepsis lost her foal? It would be all very sad for the herd. Diamond lowered her head to Sepsis and nuzzled her flank. "It's alright Sepsis...everything will be all right." Diamond snorted softly trying her very best to keep calm.

Ghost looked over at Sepsis. "You're foal will be fine, Sepsis. Just because it's not moving doesn't mean it's not there." He said kindly, trying to calm her some. He looked back at Kipcha and answered her."No, no, just wondering..." He said, trailing off. He stood still, enjoying the rain as it washed his mane and tail clean, then returned his attention to the herd. "Alright, everyone, we're moving to the mountains. I know that there is plenty of water and it is much cooler there than here at his humid river bank. There should be better grass too, if I'm not mistaken. We're going to take it slow, due to all the mares with foal." He said, finishing off his announcement.
Evander snorted. "I'll fly overhead as lookout." he said, stamping a hoof. He couldn't shake the ominous feeling he had about the other two mystical stallions.

"Wondering what? Tell me." She snorted and stepped in front of him, holding her ears back. "We're not going anywhere untill you tell me." Nipping him, Kipcha winced as she was kicked hard in the hip.

Ghost looked at Kipcha, surprised, then laughed. "Someone's a little ornry..." He said teasingly, nuzzling her nose. "I was just thinking...doesn't your stomach seem a bigger than either Sepsis's or Diamond's?" He said, nuzzling her again.

She snorted and looked back at her stomach. "Yes I suppose it is." Kipcha nipped him, "What are you saying I'm fat?" She went from upset to calm to upset in a matter of seconds, flicking her ears.

Ghost sighed, his mare's behavior was to be expected during pregnancy, but all the same..."No, Kipcha, I'm not saying that at all....I was just curious to know if you might be carrying twins, that's all." He said, nipping gently at her foreleck.
Evander was listening with amusement as Ghost tried to calm Kipcha down, his back turned to them to hide his face. He was forced to stifle a laugh when Kipcha asked him if he thought she was fat...He knew that's not what he had meant, but found it funny all the same.
