he smiles " i made that plate for my cooking" he sets it down and pulls out a jar of sause and pours it in the other pot. " sure, salads sound like a great idea" he pulls out another jar and pours it in to the smaller pot. he laugths slightly. " this brings me back to my early training days...ahh, those were nice" he says as he smiles and looks at seyla.

Seyla pulled out two bowls, some lettuce, and other fresh greens such as cucumbers, some tomatoes, crutons, etc etc.
"Really? Tell me about your early training days, I'd like to hear about it" she urged kindly. Meanwhile she washed the lettuce quickly and started pulling it apart and putting it into the bowls.

"sure" he says as he lights up a thrid burner for a frying pan for the hambuger and starts to fry it.
" cooking, in theory, is a simple example of alchemy. they said that alchemy started in the in the kicthen and this was what my first teacher taught me. he showed me most of the laws of alchemy througth cooking. he showed me how the law of consevation of mass and the law of natural providence worked and how to control my abilites" he reaches over and grabs the pepper and adds it to the the frying pan.

Seyla was actually interested in what he had to say.
"So what are those laws anyways. I mean what do they say?" she was now chopping up some vegetables and throwing them into the salads. Once finished with that she grabbed an apple. She sliced the apple and then cut it into squares adding it to the salads as well. Lastly she added some raisins. Although it sounded weird the sweet taste of the fruit made a nice contrast to the salad.

"well basicly, the law of conservation of mass states that mass cannot be created or destroyed, and the law of natural providence is allitle more complex. but they can be combined in to a simpler concept callled " equivalent exchange" which states that to obtain something, something of equal value must be lost. an example might be to make a salad for 2, one head of lettece must be lost. " he smiles as he adds the hambuger to the tomato sause.

She shook her head with a smile.
"Not at all. All you are saying is that there must be balance. Just like algebra. What you do to one side you must do to the other" That was the best way she could put it. By now she was finished with the salads so she put them in the fridge so they would stay fresh and cleaned up her spot.
"The pasta seems to be okay on its own. Lets go sit down, it's gonna take some time for that to cook" Seyla noted.

"sounds like a plan" he turns the sause down to a simmer and follows her to a place to sit and he sits down next to her. " so yeah" he looks nervous as he talks to her " care to tell me about your past?" he asks trying to start up a conversation.

They were sitting on the couch and Seyla had her legs tucked underneath herself. Thankfully her skirt was long enough for this. When he asked her the question though she started to panick. Should she tell him the truth? Should she lie? Should she half lie? wait or was it quarter? Oh it didn't matter, either way she had quite the decision to make right now.
"Promise you won't tell anyone? And you won't laugh or think of me as stupid?" she asked. Her eyes were now downcast she couldn't even bare to look up at him. One could tell this wasn't an easy topic for her.

he looks at her and felt bad for asking, it seems like her past was a touchy subject for her to talk about, he looked at her and then had a quick glance at the kitchen.
"oh course i wont tell anyone, who would i tell anyway" sweatdrop " but you dont need to tell me anything if you dont want to, it seems to be a sensative subject for you" he smiles as he speaks to her and reaches out and places hi hand on her shoulder, " it fine either way seyla"

Seyla bit her lip she should tell him though. He spoke openly to her so why should she hold things back.
"Well we move a lot. My family and I. My father's in the military so I'm never in one place very long. I'm afraid of growing attached to people so I hide behind this fake persona. I don't want to get hurt again because I do everytime. I'll come to a new school and 2 months later I'll be packing up again..." that was all that she would say for now. Everything else she kept bottled up inside where no one could find it.

"heh..its ok seyla" he smiles at her as he rubs his hands on her shoulder in an attempt to comfort her. he looks over to the kitchen and see the noodles starting to see them starting to boil over. he takes her by the hand and says" hey, looks like everythings done, lets go eat, 'k" he stands up, still holding her hand and smiling at her.

Se bit her lip at first but then felt his hand upon her shoulder. Was he really trying to comfort her? She looked up and saw that he was. For a moment she felt something she had never felt before coming from someone else. But then it was gone as he directed her attention towards the food. She nodded and stood making her way to the kitchen

once in the kitchen zero quickly turns off the burners and rinses the noodles off. he takes two plates out and prepares them with noodles and the sause. he takes the salads out of the fridge and places them down by the plates and takes out silverware as well. when all the food prep was done and the table was set he turns back to seyla. she looked alittle shook up still. zero walks up to her and places his hands on her shoulder and looks directly down at her and asks:
"hey, seyla.....are you alright?"

Seyla shook her head and put on one of her fake smiles that just seemed to work too well.
"Yeah perfectly fine, come on lets eat" she said. This was her way of changing the topic and moving his attention away from what had just happened. She took a bite of the food and smiled again. It was really good and this was no lie.
"You're a great cook Zero" she complimented

he blushes as he sits down, join her. " th,,thank you" he says as he smiles but seems dissapointed by her answer, but he went along with it to try and keep her happy. " you know...the salad pretty good, seyla" he says as he smiles and looks across too her.hey...she pretty cute right know he thinks as he eats and looks over at her, smiling
