Malik looked through the half curtained window and watched as Jou conversed with Yuugi. Looking down, he guilty for not being able to help Yuugi like he had promised. His eyes peered outside again. Judging by their expressions, it seemed as though Jounouchi had gotten through to him. 'At least things are a bit better now, or so it seems.'
Malik glanced back at Bakura. "What do you mean by 'so'?" Plopping down on the living room couch, he suddenly felt exhausted for some reason.

Bakura shrugged and silence filled the room for a few seconds before the theif spoke up again. "I told him...Jounouchi that is, seems he had been awake last night too."

Jou closed his eyes and sighed, relaxing his strained nerves. He stood back up to his normal height and straightened out his jacket. "Good!" he replyed, grinning. -I hope he figures it out soon. Yami always used to be there for him...- Inwardly, Jou's eyes narrowed. -I wonder where the heck he went.-
Sticking his hands in his pockets, Jou motioned his head towards the house. "You can come in if you want..." he offered, even though he knew Yuugi probably wouldn't take the offer. It was weird enough having your friend stay in the house of a homocidal tomb robber who had a personal vandetta against you, but going in for a casual visit was even weirder.

Malik leaned back into the comfy couch and closed his eyes. Lisfting one hand to brush away his bangs and the other placed behind his head. He then closed his eyes and let out a sigh.
"Why am I not surprised...?" He asked, making it sound more like a statement than a question waiting for an answer. At this point, he felt even more guilty. "How did he take it?"

Bakura got up from his spot on the floor and sat on the couch, a few feet away from where Malik was on it. "Well, he came down and was pretty upset in the morning, was trying to avoid the subject but well we ended up ... talking it out." The spirit told the egyptian boy sitting next to him. -Then I burnt my eggs and we went grocery shopping, but there's no way in hell I'm about to tell Malik that XP- The tomb robber thought to himself.

"That's good to hear." Malik let out another sigh and leaned his head back. After a few moments of laying there like that, he sat straight up again. "Are you sure that's all that happened?" He placed his chin on his palm as the chair supported the arm. 'Knowing this theif, he's still hiding something.'

Bakura twitched just slightly at Malik's question -Does he know or is he just asking? damn it!- "no, that's everything that happened, why wouldn't it be?" He spouted and rather quickly at that. -s**t, I did not handle that situation well. Crap, well if he didn't actually suspect something before he probly does now >< Damn it, damn it, damn it!- Bakura mentally bashed himself.

The quick response gave Malik the idea that something DID happen. He hadn't really suspected anything, but it didn't hurt to try. Now he was glad he had questioned Bakura. 'Never thought he'd act that way. This might be interesting...' He stared into Bakura's eyes. "Really now? Nothing at all happened?" A small chuckle could be heard.

Bakura didn't know how to act in this situation, normally if something questioned him or bugged him, he just got rid of it. Giving Malik a glare he continued to deny the fact that anything major had happened "Yes, I'm sure nothing happened." He said trying to calm himself and hopign that Malik would suspect less now.

Malik laughed a bit more. "That glare won't work on me. I know when you're lying." He gave a faint smirk. "But you don't have to say anything if you don't want to. I might not even want to know." Again, he rested his chin on his palm, wondering what's going on outside with Jou and Yuugi.

Yuugi was unsure of how to answer. But decided he was bored, so why not? "Uh...sure" he said and then looked towards the house. He had nothing really planned, or to do.

Bakura's eyes shifted away from Malik and then back to him. It was quite evident now that Malik knew but what could the spirit do? Ohwell Malik said he didn't want to know that badly and if he honestly did want to know he would've continued to press the matter. Bakura decided it was time for him to start questioning Malik "So...erm...You looked kind of sad a few minutes ago...we're you?"

Jou was a little surprised that Yuugi had accepted the offer, but didn't see anything wrong with it. -I'll keep Bakura from trying anything.- Jou mused. "Alright then! We can probably find something to keep ourselves from getting bored out our brains." He gave Yuugi a grin and began to lead him towards the front door.

Malik slightly looked up. "Hm? Did I look sad?" He stretched a bit to loosen his limbs a bit. "I was probably just tired and you mistaken it for a look of sadness. Nothing to worry about." Malik wasn't going to do anything about it. If Bakura preferred Jou, it was his choice and Malik can't do really do anything about that.

Bakura continued to stare at Malik, trying to use the ring to peer into Malik's thoughts quickly to try and find something. Bakura stayed quiet for a moment and listened to a few of malik's thoughts and hoped the young Egyptian boy hadn't caught onto what he was currently doing. Once figuring out the problem Bakura spoke up again but kept the information in a form of a question. "Do you feel threatened by Jounouchi, Malik?"
