I'm Jessica
I'm 25 (in a few days, close enough)
I live in Ohio with my fiance.
We are broke a** bitches.
I've only recently gained an interest in steampunk as a genre, but I've always loved period dress and gadgets and doo-dads...so it's really a natural fit.

"Falling head over heels, thought I knew how it feels. But with you it's like the first day of my life... You leave me speechless when you talk to me. You leave me breathless, the way you look at me. You manage to disarm me. My soul is shining through... I can't help but surrender... my everything to you..." -"Speechless", The Veronicas Hello everyone! I am *points to her avatar ^^;*, but most people call me Gen. I'm twenty-seven years old and despite my username having Mad"MAN" in it... I'm female. As I said in my application, I've always been interested in the genre (due to my love for movies such as Wild, Wild West, Treasure Planet, Stardust, etc.) and found out it had a term a few weeks ago. Since then, it's been So I sought out a guild that would help me broaden my knowledge on steampunk, Victorian Era, etc. That's all I can pretty much say (without rambling... because I do tend to do that) and thank you for accepting my application!

hmm, alright.
my name is Savvy, you may call my that or Sav and any variation of these, provided it isn't too ridiculous. i've just recently delved into Steampunk, but i've played around with a lot of styles, several being rooted in Victorian fashion. i also indulge in cyberpunk for raves and such, but i find steampunk, along with fashions reminiscent of the 40's and 50's to be best suited to my every day life. i am also a musician, a painter, a ballet dancer, and a strict vegan.
indubitably~

My Lords and Ladies, Gentlemen and Darlings, Lads and Lasses, Scum and Skanks, Let me introduce myself: Call me "S". Or, if you think you've reached friendship status, Behatz. Please see my signature for personality information. I'm actually British, so I suppose I excel in this field, having actually grown up around the quaint parks and magnificent buildings of the Victorian era. It's a blessing to finally find such a refuge, and I hope we have some good times together. Yours faithfully, ~S.

Even though I've been here for a little while I figure I shall introduce myself.
The name's Jo. I'm a freelance lighting designer based very close to the antiquing capital of the world. So if you ever need some elusive prop, drop me a line and I could probably find it. Trust me, we have antique malls every half mile.
Judging by some of the pictures in this group, I'll have to mind my tongue since my Steampunk fashion style is a little more victorian purist. (Men wear braces, corsets are undergarments...) Alas, I come from the land of hand-made so I forget not everyone knows how to make and entire outfit on a budget.
I'm currently in the preliminary stages of an outfit of mine, I will probably post the sketches eventually.
Overall, I'm very friendly and quite a history aficionada.

Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen. My name is Kathryn, and I am pleased to make your acquaintance. I have always been interested in Victorian era clothing and decor, as well as medieval clothing. I have been in the Society for Creative Anachronism since I was two, but as much as I like medieval clothing and art, I prefer victorian. I did not realize my 'odd tastes' were a subculture until recently.
Anywho, I am 30 years old, and I design and sew clothing by hand for a living. I am delighted to meet others with the same interests as me. heart

hello ladies and gentelmen i am Shinbo. i've been into steampunk ever since i saw an awesome laptop mod about two year ago and it was like love at first sight. i have attempted to make goggles in the past, out of soda cans for lack of better matererals i found them fragle and a pain to wear so i may make better ones soon and will post pictures when said goggles are finnished. any way i will take a breaks from my normal avatar from time to time and make steampunky avis like this one. the story behind this avatar is that Professer Shinbo and his hight challenged assistent Mr.Jingles are exploring the Human mind and Professer Shinbo starts acting goofy but what has happend is Mr. Jingles had a slip of the hand at the controlls and was probing shinbo's facial fetures controlling lobe by mistake

My grandmother and her brother are very... involved... in Welsh nationalism. And a friend of mine is a direct descendant of Owain Glyndwr.
