Kaji hald his hand to the spot where he was smacked. He sighed and followed LY to the Arena, to fight.

Kaji stepped out of the ice mirror with a sigh as it exploded into snow. He looked around for that one book he was reading before they left. Sinc eYawg was made of pure darkness, then Kaji would have to use his opposite. He found the book on the light element and started to read it on the couch as he waited for Alex to come back. In his hand a small light element ball formed as he read, it started to mold and shape to what was in the book.

Alex flew through the window, hit the would with a loud THUD, and slid to the floor. It was obvious he wasn't concious, even more obvious was the fact that he hadn't been controlling his own flight. There were blood stains on his scales... none of them natural. Signs of Darkness showing its ugly hide.

Kaji looked over and ran over to his brother, the ball of light following him. He concentrated it into his hands and held it over Alex's forehead, "Come on Alex. Wake up." He wanted his brother awake.

"Back off, stupid dragon," snapped a voice, keeping his, no ITS eyes tightly shut. The light in Kaji's hand went out, and the eyes, which were blood red and glowing, snapped open, glaring at Kaji. "Well, if it isn't KAJI! I think I'll kill you now." The claw shot forward three inches, then stopped, as if it had hit a wall. One eye was slowly becoming yellow. No... you... don't...

Kaji leapt back as a weapon materialized in his hands. It was ice infused with the element of light. A six foot staff formed in his hands as he spun it in front of him and held it next to him. "What did you do with my brother," said Kaji in a low voice as he growled. Kaji wasn't afraid to attack his brother.

The demonized Alex snickered, even as it struggled for control. Alex managed to control one eye, the hand the demon had tried to kill Kaji with, the feet, and the tail. The demon wasn't moving anywhere. "Simple... I took over for him, he is weak." The left hand (the one the demon controlled) snapped down to grab and throw Alex's dagger... Alex didn't bother to cry a warning. The demon was really stupid. That dagger wouldn't harm Kaji no more than it had harmed Alex... which was not at all.

Kaji let the dagger peirce his stomach. He closed his eyes in fake pain. He grabbed the dagger with his free hand and pulled it out slowly. He opened his eyes and smiled as he showed the dagger and it had no blood on it whatsoever. "For the embodiment of darkness, you are really stupid," said Kaji with a smirk. The staff in his hand formed into a javelin as he placed it on the demon controlled hand, the light energy should hurt it.

There was a howl from both It and Alex as Darkness retreated from Alex's form. It was pulling something from Alex's body, though... something... Dragon-like in appearence. Alex shrieked with pain and fell to the ground, rolling. Darkness finally because fully visable, holding a hybrid dragon... a BLUE hybrid dragon. Alex, who was also hybrid, to a lesser extent (he had wings, tail, and patches of scales all over his body) turned over to see... then roared with shock and hatred. "GIVE IT BACK!" He lunged, but Darkness vanished, laughing. We will meet again, boys... and I will keep this with me. You aren't getting it back, not while I live... And I will always live...

Kaji smirked as he said a spell from the light element book.
"May Ice and Light trap the darkness.
So as long as I am a dragon the darkness will be held.
And what was taken be given back.
The darkness shall be imprisoned in this staff in my right hand."
Kaji held forth his staff and light began to pour from it and surround the darkness that was retreating. From his right hand blood came as the spell needed some of Kaji's blood to become as potent as possible. If the blood was draconic and a blood relative then the spell would be at it's most powerful and it could even trap pure darkness.

Darkness came back into the material with sharp relief. "That's strong," It complimented grudingly. "My compliments... but it's not strong enough." It held up the half of Alex that was missing. "You want this back so desperately?" It grinned. "Then find it!" It smashed Its hand through the creature, and with a sound like glass breaking, the heritage broke apart, scattering into the world and the planes. "Find it, Kaji. Oh, and get better at Light magic before you try and trap me again... That is, if you desire to LIVE." It left the normal way, turning Its back firmly on Kaji... but it would take someone with no brain whatsoever to think that it wasn't ready to blast Kaji where the dragon stood.

Kaji growled loudly as he failed to contain the darkness within his staff, but with the light element he managed to save all the peiecs that would have gone into other planes. The only ones he did get were the ones that were scattered among the earth. "I swear on my father that I will trap you one of these days. On my father's life I will trap you." The parts that he saved formed the wings, tail, and legs of the figurine that symbolized the heritage.

Alex stared at the unfinishd figure for a moment... then rose from the floor and reached out to touch it. "Is that really... me?" He brushed the membrane of the wing... it was so familiar, there was no question. Darkness had done as It had said. "I will kill It... I swear that I will kill It, even if..." He stopped. Was he really going to give up his life so he could incapacitate something that couldn't be killed? He shook his head and lay back down on the floor.

Kaji sighed as he looked at the figurine and said, "Sorry Alex. I couldn't save all of the peices. I could only stop the ones from going to the other planes." He smiled a bit as he looked back at the book of the light element and said, "I could only get that back after reading that whole book. I know Mercina wil never train me. I'm such an idiot for trying to use that spell." He punched the floor and left a hole the size of his fist in it.

Alex said nothing for a moment, then he spoke, his tone low. "It's okay, Kaji... you tried..." He rose, then left the room, heading for the shower. He needed to clense himself of the evil that had inhabited him...
