Ruby smiled, her features softening as she looked at him, her gray eyes hazy and warm as a summer storm. "Arch, there's no gift in the world that can ever compare to this. You don't know what this is to me. To see your eyes. To see you, even if it is just this once." She chuckled softly. "You prob'ly think me a right fool to be makin' such a deal about eyes. But, Feathers, I've waited my whole life to look into these eyes. An' when I realized I was entirely in love with the angel living one floor up an' down the hallway, there was nothin' I wanted more than to see him lookin' back at me with that same love."

Eulalia Danae "Then my mother must be convinced first, I suppose that's easy enough. As for father's love, I've never truly believed in a natural love, least of all in my family. If it's there, I will be more than a bit surprised." Ora's dark hair rustled in the breeze, a few strands crossing in front of her face like dark inklines. "I do not expect to come out of this fight alive, Ayx. But I intend to succeed none the less." "You have to convince your mother, then. I doubt she will listen to a flaming suit of armor that attempted to murder her husband. Repeatedly." Ayx left that hang for a moment, while his many minds mulled over the last statement, "This is unlike you. Tell me, just WHAT drives you as this does? What love, what passion, compels these actions? This conviction?"

Ayx left that hang for a moment, while his many minds mulled over the last statement, "This is unlike you. Tell me, just WHAT drives you as this does? What love, what passion, compels these actions? This conviction?" Ora began to laugh, though there was little humor in it. She died down her mirth to a soft chuckle. "Ayx, I have lived my whole life bound to one purpose and one purpose alone, and that was a desire to serve my master and win his love and approval. I admit it was foolish of me, but it was also deeply ingrained. When realization came that such could never be won, never granted, I was bitter. But it wasn't until I discovered what he did think of me, that I truly rebelled. A mere silly girl that would get in the way, that was full of weakness, that was useless. He agreed with Hellions. And like all immortals they blinded themselves with their own power, their own importance, and forgot that even the useless weak little bees might have a bit of poison in their sting. For a while I was tempted to destroy everything, simply because I could. I contemplated allowing the world to fall at my feet. I wanted to see all of it burn away." Her smile was bitter. "But in all truth I hold a human heart, and when a silly dragon showed me an amount of care I had not recieved, except from a choice few, I knew I couldn't do it. Then more of them came, silly individuals with their smiles and good manners. To think I was so weak to the bits of compassion thrown my way. But Ayx, I was built and trained to be a destroyer. I know only chaos. Not once was I taught to raise a sword to protect. As much as I want to save the world for those people who would have saved me, I know I cannot live in it." "To answer your question, what drives me for the first time is my own conviction, my own passion, and my own love--if you could even call it that. I would drive the evil force from this world, and let these people live in peace, away from anything that would blindly view them as toys. I would have my vengeance, and a reminder for my master that I am no silly doll to be tossed aside to the trash heap. I no longer need his approval or love. I see him now for what he is, and he is the mind of a child. He has become so powerful that he can no longer see beyond himself, and so aquires a subconscious belief that he is the only being left in the universe, as would any young child who has yet to discover 'the others'."

The shade was silent as it mulled over Ora's words, and did not speak for some time. He nodded slowly, and turned to face Ora. "Where to do we begin? What plans need be made, who else needs to be reached? What would you have of me?"

"We begin by forging new allies, by bridging the gaps torn by the war, and by gathering a select few who put together will become a very powerful very dangerous mix." Ora looked at Ayx, "I would have you follow me into the very depths of oblivion, if you so wish."

"Well then, perhaps it's time we quit this discussion and hill and speak to our new friends." The statement was followed by a terse laugh, "Had you told me this morning we'd be talking to the Angel and his annoyingly perky paramour to offer them an alliance to stop the oncoming end of the world, I would have slapped you."

(lol, Ora is pleased that her spouting has finally been appreciated to some extent) "Ayx, if I had known this plan three days ago, I would have let you slap me." Ora took a deep breath. "I am by no means looking forward to this, and this....meeting might not start out as a friendly one, be wary of that, Ayx." Ora stepped out of the shadows, and started walking to the bus. She could have easily blinked there, but she preferred taking the time to walk, and contemplate how she was going to broach the topic.

Ayx followed her lead, remaining silent. His armor clanked loudly as he walked. He understood Ora's thoughts, and tried to ebb his own flames as best he could.

Ora stood at the door of the bus, knowing better than to try and get in herself. A fleeting smile crossed her lips as she remembered the last time she had been knocking on the bus door, as a precocious five year old demanding to know where her godfather had been and why he hadn't sent her presents. Ora knocked on the door brsiquely and waited.

((And now she's knocking on thier door asking if both of them would be willing to give up thier lives to stop some derranged man-god with a flaming suit of armor next to her. Ah, nostalgia.))

"Wehl theih ah've beihn. Fehr ah lahwng taihme, dahwlihn." Arch smiled up at her, just looking at her, when there was a knock on the door. Arch sat up quickly, grunting as he put weight on his broken arm. His good arm fumbled under the bed for his gun. "Dahwlihn, dihd ahnehohne ehlse bhuht Ora knohw yeh wehre 'eah?" Arch hadn't been using his emotional sensory, but now he was getting Ora, and something he couldn't even guess, a conflux of emotions and thoughts he couldn't begin to read.

Ruby shook her head, "No, sugar, only Ora knew where I was off to." She slid off of the bed. "Don't move, hon, stay put an' I can handle whatever it is." She glanced at him with concern, afraid he could break something else.

"Weihl tahke iht 'getheh." Arch said, standing, the gun in his good hand. He walked to the door, tapping the barrel on the door as it unlocked itself, the door swinging open. "Gahwt twhoh sechohnds." He said, the gun level with Ora's head.
