"Hopefully..." Genno mused. He then proceeded to the exit. "Well, Sam's prob'ly waiting... I'm sure smashing Kabuto has gotten old... even to her," he stated.

Zaan shakes himself from his musings. "Sorry. C'mon, I'll explain when we're out. Sam deserves to hear it too, and I'm not explaining twice." He begins to leave the room, motioning for Genno and Kakashi to follow him.

Genno, with little choice either way, follows Zaan out to the wagon. He then waves to Sam, seeing the smashed remains of Kabuto melting away.

Kenji seats himself comfortably in the wagon and waits to hear Zaan's story. He beckons Kakashi and Sam over to listen as well.

Kakashi goes outside quickly and yanks Sam by the hand into the wagon to hear Zaan's story.

"Now then. As I've stated before, I am a vampire. I belong to the clan known as Tremere. Tremere often create Gargoyles to protect their havens." Zaan holds up a hand. "Before you ask, no, they weren't mine. I don't find them all that useful, so I don't create them often. That's what has me worried. He got them from somewhere and it wasn't me." Zaan considers a moment and then nods. "Yeah, that's the gist of it. Any questions?" Zaan zones out a bit as he considers the situation. 'I wonder...who or where would he have found... KAVEN!' He ends his musings, a decidedly sour look on his face.

Genno breaks the silence with a question. "What do you mean by clans? Are there lots of vampires like you? I've never seen one."

Zaan shakes his head. "I'm not technically supposed to discuss this, but I will. I trust you all to keep the Masquerade. There are 13 clans, but you'd never know it. We are taught to keep to ourselves. We reveal our powers only when necessary, and usually make others forget they see us. That answers that question. Any others?" Zaan looks at his companions.

Sam looked at Zaan.
"Uh, yea....what powers are you talking about, or, I mean, what are these powers?" Sam looked down and then back up.
"If you can tell..."

Zaan chuckles. "Hmmm...how to explain it in terms you'll understand? No offense to you all, of course. I can control shadows. I'm telepathic, as Genno already knows. I'm much stronger and faster and more durable than you all. Again, no offense. I have another, but...old habits die hard. This is our clan secret. I...won't reveal that now. That should satisfy your curiosity Sam. Since we're on the topic...Any more questions?"

"How'd you get to be a vampire?" Genno asked. He was trying not to get too overexcited, because he wasn't sure if he'd be able to have Zaan's power on top of his own or if they would be separate entities.

Zaan sighs. "My embrace? It was so long ago. I was...in the wrong place at the wrong time...or maybe the right place in the right time. I was hired to kill someone, a Tremere someone. Although I didn't know it at the time. She liked me, luckily. She embraced me instead. I've since decided that this life is better than what I had.
