Effloresca turns to Dante after watching Bahamut enter the secluded cave. "I trust him." She speaks of Bahamut. "I trust you."
She meant Dante. "Don't betray it." She warns, or perhaps pleads. She had been hurt one too many times before, by friends and loved ones. Slowly walks over to him, looking at the guitar case. Then to Fōa. She had bent over for both, standing straight to stare at Dante in the eyes. Before turning aggressively towards Ifrit. Slowly she leans back as if to sit.
Ifrit lifts his hand, supporting her weight with his arm. Forming a fairly comfortable 'chair'. Watching as she crossed her legs over one of his large claws. He brings her up to his shoulder, where he gently deposits her. She crosses her arms and looks to where Bahamut, and possibly the twins, disappeared to.
Fōa felt intimidated by Effloresca. Now looking up at her, he felt like a child. Looking to Dante he smiles and nods "Yeah, no fatal blows or low-blows. So when do we start?"
He liked Dante aswell, he was like an older brother to him. Or the father he never had. He trusted him and Bahamut. Bahamut was an embodiment of power or strength to him. "It's weird but, you guys are the closest I've ever had to family."
Ifrit smiles, and Effloresca quirks an eyebrow at the comment.

A Thousand Years of Memories, Chp. 1: Waking NightmareThe Earth year is 993 and Ridel looks around the roar of the dessert sandstorm blurring the shapes of the bounts around her. She and fourteen others had been dumped in the vast desserts of the Soul Society and cast adrift in a seemingly random direction. Ridel couldn't help but whimper, she had no idea what was happening to her or who these other people were. All she knew is that they were walking, and that they had done something wrong. Ridel had been crying the night before as she sat in her lonely little cell. She really wanted to cry now, as her whimpering started to degrade into sniffles she felt a hand on her shoulder. Ridel jumped surprised that someone had interacted with her. For the entire time they'd been walking no one talked, nobody looked at anyone else, and they didn't stop walking. She looked up at whoever it was, She blinked the fresh tears out of her eyes because all she saw was a blurry mass. She wiped her eyes when that didn't work and stared up into the face of a man. He had silver hair which was odd to Ridel and he was rather handsome and his mouth was held a smirk. This was her first time seeing Dante. He didn't say anything to her but she could tell what he meant by the way he touched her shoulder it was almost as if he said. "Hush now, it'll all be over soon so keep going and stop crying." Ridel wasn't sure why but that hand made her feel safe. They kept walking and Ridel stopped crying. That was the first time Ridel met Dante. That night was the first time the hollows struck. They had finally stopped walking after 20 hours and they all huddled together not saying a word. After about an hour a shriek split the night. Ridel being 12 had fallen asleep almost instantly when they stopped, the shriek woke Ridel with a start and she jumped up along with the rest of the group. There was nothing for what seemed like an eternity; then again a shriek tore at them through the silent veil of darkness. Ridel didn't know what it was at first but she saw a white shadow flash in her vision. That had been the claw of a hollow narrowly missing her face and snatching the woman beside her. That action unleashed hell shouts and screams filled the night combating these monsters that seemingly were made of the darkness itself. Ridel felt a familiar touch on her shoulder, and again jumped before she looked up at Dante. "Run..." Was all he said and Ridel did what he said without thinking, it wasn't long before she made it up the first dune, as her tears stained her cheeks fear was their fuel and the fire was burning white hot. After awhile Ridel felt something change her strides were clearing more ground and things around here were blurring and then refocusing as she stepped each step it continued she also could see that the ground was almost shrinking around her feet as she ran making the space in front of her a little closer than it was. Ridel stopped finally when she reached the top of a massive dune. As she reached the summit the blistering sun greeted her eyes with the first rays of morning light. She looked back finally remembering Dante. Now that she felt the danger had past she started thinking clearly. And Ridel's mind turned toward what she'd been running like as she noted her foot steps were often ten or twenty feet apart as they trailed out of sight down the dune and across the dessert. Ridel looked down the other side of the dune and saw a large outcropping of rock far off. She imagined herself there and started running she felt a similar sensation to what she had felt while running and after a few seconds she found herself standing in the shadow of the massive structure. Unknowingly Ridel had through her fear learned Body Shift. Quote: Word in post = 684 Technique = Body Shift = 500/500 (684-500=184) New word total = 3849

A Thousand Years of Memories, Chp. 2: Child's PlayRidel Stared up at the massive structure in the sand. It looked like an immense gate of some sort. She could feel a strange, but immense energy coming from it. Ridel wasn’t sure how long she stared at the gate but the sun was in her eyes by the time she snapped back to reality. Ridel Pushed on the gate to no avail, it felt kind of obvious the thing was a thousand times bigger than she was and made out of solid rock. Ridel body shifted roughly 20 feet back from the gate, addicted to the new power already, and looked around for some sort of entrance to it. She noted an alcove and did her body shift over to it doing a few unnecessary moves for fun Ridel was really starting to have fun with whatever this was. And she started jumping around helter skelter, completely forgetting about the niche in the rock she was on her way to investigate. Ridel was having fun for the first time she could remember… which wasn’t that long of a time, she had woke up not a year ago in that cell with no memory of the time before that. She didn’t even know her name; she had taken it from a book they’d given her to read. Ridel looked up at the gate again and wondered what it looked like at the top. She climbed a nearby dune that actually pooled around the side of the gate and Ran about halfway down before she body shifted directly into a jump at the gate wall. Ridel thudded into the wall and ran up a few feet and tried to use the fun new thing she’d figured out she could do to run up the wall. Ridel was lucky she was in the dessert and that the twenty foot drop was cushioned by sand otherwise she’d have seen in trouble. Ridel rolled down the dune stunned at the slap reality had just bequeathed upon her person in the form of the ground rushing to meet her. Ridel sobbed a little unhappy that she couldn’t make it up, but gave herself a small touch on the shoulder to remind her to stop being such a baby. Now that Ridel thought about it running up the wall was a bit foolish… but it would have been awesome. Ridel stretched taking off the cloak she had been wearing to keep the sand and dust off, the soul reapers had issued them to the outcasts when they dropped them in the desert… one last kind gesture as they sent them to their deaths sort of like asking someone their last wishes before their hung or beheaded or being given a skin of water before being set out into the desert. Ridel stood and set her mind to jumping to the top Ridel ran and jumped She got about a foot off the ground and she flailed and tried to jump again suddenly beneath her feet she felt solid ground and jumped again she got about another 2 feet when she started to feel herself stop she looked toward the ground and freaked and tried to jump again she felt the same solidity beneath her feet. But she was far from the ground Ridel tapped her feet on the screen of reishi. And jump and she felt the small pull as the screen formed around her feet Ridel smiled and started body shifting and using this new thing in unison form screens as she shifted. It wasn’t long before she reached the top of the gate and looked out over the vast desert. It stretched out as far as the eye could see Before she could take in much the gate suddenly started rumbling and she saw them opening. A Thousand Years of Memories, Chp. 3: Immortality for Dummies
Ridel tried to balance herself on the now fiercely shaking platform as it rumbled open pushing dunes of sand out of its way as if it were some sort of bodyguard protecting his temporary master from the crowds around him. Ridel eventually lost her balance and fell onto her stomach with a loud thump. She lay there for a few seconds, tears welling up and groaning, tempted to burst into childish tears, but it hadn’t even been a day since that man was kind to her and ten told her to run when they were in danger. She was not going to give up now, for him at least she had to be strong. Ridel looked across the platform and saw a black hole and crawled to it when she got there she stared down into the darkness. Right below her head there was a stair and these continued down into the darkness right where the roof started Ridel could see dust falling from the roof which was quite ominous to her. “Was this place about to collapse…? DID I MAKE IT SELF DESTRUCT!? OH MA GAWD!!!” She though in her head jumping to her feet and running around like an imbecile seemingly unaffected by the rumbling now that she was panicked and running around like a headless chicken. Not watching where she was going Ridel entered the space right above the stairs and floated for a second before she dropped into the dark abyss with a yelp. She rolled down the stair yelping again but this time with surprise at her sudden change in predicament. Ridel hit the stone floor hard and skidded a few feet away from the steps and into the wall of the staircase. Ridel groaned that was the second hard hit she took in the last five minutes and she was starting to get a little put off by all the pain. She lifted herself up and steadied herself the rumbling and shaking was still going on but it seemed a bit more controlled inside. Ridel started down the stairs and coughed a bit the dust was heavy inside with the sandstorms that must come through here and the time this must have been standing here. Ridel kept walking down for what seemed like forever then she stopped noticing a hallway into something other than the staircase. She saw the faint light coming from the room first and stared at it. It was a beautiful eldritch color but something about it felt ominous like it’s sweet beckoning was but a false veil that would slip away to reveal a gauntlet of woes suitable in difficulty for the hero of a Greek tragedy. Or perhaps some monumental Sisyphean task like, filling a bucket, with no bottom full of water or, counting every grain of sand in the desert or, one of a thousand pointless, endless tasks that could plague her person if she were to take a step into that alcove of disparagements. Being twelve it took her all of two seconds to forget that impending doom could be in the room and waltz on in with her innocent curiosity blazing a path behind her unable to get into the room fast enough. Ridel peeked around the corner and stared into the room, in the center was a basin made of crystal and from it the light came shining like a beacon to her hunger, because for weeks and months she’d not eating a scrap of food nor had she drank a drop of water but now looking at this light she felt it for the first time and it was a terrible feeling. She shook as she entered the room; unknowingly stepping into one of those Sisyphean tasks that she had worried about… sating this demon hunger that now plagued her. She reached the edge of the bowl and stared into it the liquid was clear but it glowed with a warm light. Ridel bent over getting close to the water and she took a deep smell of it and she felt her hunger grow tenfold as she smelled the rich aroma of whatever this was. Ridel looked around for something to drink from and on the ground next to the basin was a ladle. She grabbed it ravenously and filled the small cup and brought it to her mouth, she sipped at first, whatever this was it was amazing she gulped it all down and she felt a surge of warmth through her whole body and as it passed through her it was followed by a pleasant tingling all over her body as if she were being tickled. Ridel blushed at the sensation and shivered as it went away. This was the first soul Ridel had, and having partaken of the soul she had doomed herself to be as she was forever, bound into the body of a twelve year old. Dante grinned at them both, ready to have some fun. He took his large black claymore blade and returned it to the guitar case. He then moved his red overcoat aside from his hips to remove his twin pistols from his side and place them atop the black case. He them moved the package and weapons off to the side, atop a low, flat rock. He then turned about to walk towards the other two, pulling his leather gloves tighter down on his hands as he came closer. " Alright, let's get this show started, huh?" Dante stop about ten to fifteen feet away from them each for fair starting space. He simply stood there wearing his usual smirk and thought to let one of them go first. A three way fight would be a lot trickier to handle with stronger participants, though that's not saying that this will be a walk in the park either. Effloresca sighed and nimbly glided down from Ifrit's shoulder. Landly softly infront of Dante. She pulled her leather gloves tighter around her hands. Dropping down into a fighting pose, her eyes seem to burn with a passion, an anticipation of the fight to come. "You know, sparring is one of the best ways to know someone." She spoke through experience. As terrible as it probably sounded, she couldn't wait to start the sparring match. Ifrit chuckled under his breath at Effloresca's eagerness. She had really taken a liking to Dante. He wouldn't tell him though, that was for him to figure out or for her to tell him. His eyes showed no warmth in their dark depths. He was collected, calm. At ease. Dante smirked as they readied themselves. He figured that Fōa would be going down first and that it would end up really being a fight between him and Efflorecsa. He took a rather relaxed looking stance and he turned to look at Fōa. " You can go first." Effloresca used body shift rushing at Dante. Preparing a punch that could crush concrete. The dust being kicked up behind her. Quote: Reiatsu: 21 Speed: 3 + 2 Strength: 5 + 2 Defense: 6 + 1 Stamina: 4 Spiritual Power:3

Dante stopped looking at Fōa and noticed Effloresca trying to rush him and catch him off guard unsuccessfully. He simply smirked at her attempted punch and sidestepped her attack. He then turned about gracefully in his place to the side of her punch range and let his outside leg swing around and over to connect with her back, his hands never leaving his overcoat pockets. Effloresca takes the hit squarely in the back, rolling forward in a flurry of arms and legs as she's knocked unconcious. Ifrit slowly walks over, picking her up and cradling her in his arm carefully checking her back. Then her head. To see if she was seriously injured. Satisfied that she was not he carries her over to the side of the cave to sit down. Fōa sighs and shakes his head, he was feeling serious doubts now. Dante had just taken Effloresca out without so much as the slightest effort. Though where her hand had connected with the wall, there was a large fist shaped hole. 'Such strength..if only she could keep up. Jeeze if she can't even touch him how I am I going to even get near him?' He thinks to himself. Fōa cautiously edges closer, just out of reach. He remained there unwilling to move quite yet. Quote: Reiatsu: 21 Speed: 3 + 2 Strength: 5 + 2 Defense: 6 + 1 Stamina: 4 Spiritual Power:3

Dante smirked but felt a little bad that he had knocked Effloresca out so hard. He should've held back more on that kick. He figured she would be ok though as Ifrit had taken to tending her for him. He turned his gaze then to poor Fōa who was trying to keep his distance from Dante. That was never a good idea really. He suddenly vanished in an instant, using Body Flicker, and appeared right behind Fōa. He then made a low down sweep kick, to throw Fōa up in the air slightly and used the momentum to spin once before his other leg came up with him to get him in the chest area. He held back though to avoid seriously injuring the boy. Fōa spins in mid-air, rolling along the ground. He was close to unconciousness, but there was no-way he could continue fighting right now. He blinks several times trying to figure out what just happened.
'He had been there one second then, beating the s**t out of me the next.' Fōa manages to think to himself somehow despite the constant ringing in his ears and the burning sensation in his lungs.
He looks to Dante his head still swimming, he thinks he sees a demon but shrugs. He was obviously hallucinating. He shakes his head clearing his vision.
Ifrit slowly deposits Effloresca down on a nearby rock, her murmuring in protest. If she was concious it was hard to tell.
"She's not that fast, but she's definatly strong." Ifrit mumbled to Dante. Gently laying a hand on her back.

Dante watched Fōa spin and fall rather bluntly. He really should learn better self control. He walked over to help lift up Fōa from his place in the dirt. He brushed the dizzied boy before looking over to Effloresca. He was glad she was alright and he nodded to Iftrit's words. " She was definitely strong alright. If I wasn't faster than her, she might have really hurt me just now." He grinned and went to retrieve his dual pistols, returning them to their place at his sides. He then bent over to sling his guitar case over his back. " I suppose we should wait for the twins and Bahamut for now." He simply walked over to the flat rock his case was on and dropped onto it, fingers laced together behind his head as he began to relax. He would take a short nap for now, waiting for Fōa and Effloresca to recover and for the boys to get back from their time with Bahamut. A Thousand Years of Memories, Chp. 4: Nightmare's Requiem
Ridel stared down into the bowl and greedily drank the liquid with the eldritch glow, deepening the curse on her my immeasurable amounts with each gulp. Then again she was already cursed into the body of a 12 year old, not that she knew that, nor would she for a few years yet, when she hadn’t grown an inch. The souls in the crystalline basin were the dead souls awaiting transport into Asgard; they’d been sitting in there for awhile and the gates opening was in fact the keeper coming to collect them. Once Ridel drank them all the glow was gone from the room and darkness reigned over the territory inside the room once again. Ridel jumped when she opened her eyes as she had been enjoying it with them closed. Ridel could smell something different on the air… it smelled remarkably like what she’d just eaten. Ridel followed the smell out of the room, with a bit of maneuvering in the darkness, and Ridel crept down the stairs once more and kept following the smell until she reached an alcove similar to the one she’d just been at, Ridel crept toward it and smelled them inside and peeked around the corner. Ridel could see another one of the basins but she was frozen in place because next to the basin… was perhaps one of the scariest looking dudes she’d ever seen… though she didn’t have much experience with people as she’d only sheen about 20 of them in the entirety of her existence after waking up in the cell. But had Ridel had more experience this dude would have been hard to top, he was roughly seven feet in height and he wore what looked to be perpetual shadows about his person, little did Ridel know that these garments were used to hide his spiritual pressure. She watched as he scooped the contents out with a bowl similar to the one she had used upstairs, and was carrying them to the wall where there was another basin which he poured them into though this time the basin drained along the wall and unknown to Ridel down to the portal below. She watched him do this for a long time until with the last pour the room darkened again empty without its eldritch glow. Ridel freaked now that she couldn’t see the man and that seemed to doom her as if he could smell the fear the man b lined for Ridel and grabbed her. And in response Ridel did what every 12 year old girl who would do… shriek as if she’d just fallen into a hole and found a thousand mice and snakes holding a rally with the direct goal of coming after her... I mean… that could happen right? I’m pretty sure a 12 year old girl would freak the hell out if she found that in a hole, just saying. Well Ridel freaked more now that this grisly murderer was about to rip her apart for whatever reason had been bobbing around Ridel’s head. Probably the whole ‘He’s a monster and that’s what monsters do.’ thing that idiot children seem to equate to in simplistic terms. Ridel didn’t know was that this guy thought she was one of the children who’d maybe followed him out of Asgard. “Whoa there little one…” His voice boomed out freezing Ridel in space. “Oh this is it… I’m gonna be ripped apart… oh why couldn’t whatsisname be here to save me?” She asked herself mentally as she thought about Dante and how she had never really gotten to asking his name before the horror that was the Hollows befell her and the group she was with. “Wait… he called me little one?” she thought for a second and started struggling. “You’re… not going to rip me apart?” She asked her voice a strained whisper coming out of a frantic body. “Oh gosh no…” Fried (Freed) said to Ridel as he lit a torch he had on him to cast a bit of light. “Now let me get a look at you…” Fried held the torch a little closer to Ridel and suddenly dropped it. And she heard a little shuffling from him as he tried to pick it up. “Uhm… mister…” Ridel asked meekly. “What’s wrong?” Ridel asked him. “Oh nothing… I just burned myself.” Fried chuckled. He was lying, Fried had dropped the torch because unknown to Ridel he had seen her eyes which reflected in the torch light with the same color of Eldritch of the spirits she had drank from the basin floors above. A trait that signified on had consumed of them. “A few floors up… did you per chance find a basin full of a clear glowing liquid?” Fried asked. “Oh… yeah, empty now though…” Ridel said cheerfully now that she was dead sure she wasn’t in any trouble, although now she’d just put one of her feet in the grave with that sentence. “Oh…” Fried said. This was bad this girl had committed one of the most egregious crimes Asgard could punish… and he was honor bound to bring her in for it. Ridel went with him and what happened after she passed into Asgard is anyone's guess. Though one thing was certain, it was bad because Ridel suppressed the memories. A Thousand Years of Memories, Chp. 13: Bloody SundayRidel woke with a start… it was that dream again, falling forever. It scared her so much because she never saw the bottom which made the thought of the end and her smashing into the ground all the more terrifying because she never knew when it would happen to her. Worst whenever Ridel looked at herself in the dream she looked like she’d been run through, her clothes stained with her crimson blood and a cut in her dress. Ridel shook her head as she cast the thought from her mind this wasn’t going to help her get up and go. Ridel stood and looked around, she had been huddled in a barn for the night, she wasn’t exactly sure as to where she was but she noticed a building up the hill she jumped out of the loft and moon stepped her way to the safety of the road below. The building looked a lot like the barn in that it was long but it looked nicer and was a dull white color, but what piqued Ridel’s infamous curiosity was what was on top. A crucifix adorned the building, and it was certainly interesting to her to see just what happened in this building because from what she knew the Crucifix was an instrument of death and torture. One usually didn’t find one randomly on top of a building. Maybe it was a workshop of some kind. Ridel got to the two large doors and looked at her dress. It was terribly dusty and tattered from the long days on the road. Ridel wasn’t sure what had happened she passed through that gate and then she woke up on the ground covered in someone’s blood, Ridel had done her best to wash it out but there was still a bit of discoloration there and a tear in the fabric. Ridel dusted herself off and tried to look presentable before she reached out toward the door and pushed them open. As they creaked open Ridel walked inside and looked around. “Oh wow…” She heard herself say as she looked into the dusty room. There were benches filling the room, and a gap in between the benches that led to a podium of sorts and behind the podium was beautiful colored glass. Ridel didn’t know but the place was a church, as she wandered around in it Ridel saw a broom sitting up against the wall and grabbed and started sweeping the place, it was awfully dusty so she figured she may as well give it a little cleaning. Ridel Started out normally at first tentative sweeps as she removed the layer of dust then she decided to have a bit of fun with it as she started Body Shifting to and fro dragging the broom alongside her as she swept with what she liked to call vigorous inspiration and desire. Soon the room was filled with the dust and she was just running around in it laughing and giggling her head off, as she enjoyed the day. Unknown to Ridel her antics hadn’t gone unnoticed by Hollows stalking the area. As she moon stepped and Body shifted her spiritual energy away. Suddenly there was a crash and Ridel stopped dead in her tracks as an instinctual reaction. She looked around trying to figure out what it was but the dust was a bit too much for Ridel to see through in the abandoned place of worship. Ridel tried to find the door but was unsuccessful. Then she heard a shriek that chilled her to the marrow inside her bones. Ridel’s mind flashed back to the night in the desert and the white monsters that killed everybody around her. The dust finally started to settle and Ridel could see the thing clearly now, it was a hulking monster, it looked a lot like a cat of some sort with massive fangs and whiskers that seemed to float about on their own accord defying gravity with their own whimsy. Now that it was done shrieking Ridel could hear the low hum of its growling throughout the building as if the dust had made an invisible wall that separated Ridel and her assailant from where it came crashing in through the color glass and where Ridel stood in the mouth of the room in the corridor made in between the long rows of pews. It didn’t take the cougar like hollow long to spot Ridel as she stood there awestruck at this beast that had shattered her cone of false protection. It stalked her for a few seconds crushing Pews beneath its paws and its tail sweeping the wreckage away like infinitesimal dust. As it stalked toward Ridel the hollow growled at her and pounced suddenly luckily Ridel’s survival instincts kicked in as she body shifted out of the way as the gargantuan wild cat smashed into the lower roofed part of the church causing the front part of the building to collapse as it unwittingly sealed off Ridel’s most secure escape route all she had now was where the hollow itself entered. Ridel eyed the monster waiting for it to pounce again and for her chance to escape. The cougar hollow dislodged itself and the collapse increased in size as chunks of the roof spilled into the doorway. The hollow stalked Ridel a bit realizing it had one escape and it placed itself between Ridel and the exit. And it slowly walked forward hemming her into a corner in some sort of fatalistic cat and mouse game. Cougar pounced thinking it had Ridel cornered and Ridel dodged and Moon stepped and body shifted roughly five feet toward the window before the hollow’s tail lashed out throwing her into the wall and crashing onto the floor winded by the blow. As Cougar moved in for the kill, Dante’s Rebellion stopped it dead, quite literally, in its tracks. “A hundred years and you’re still getting into trouble…” Ridel heard as the hollow fell dead.
