"We should step in."

"Do we have to? I mean, you did want tonight off."

"Well, I just think those guys could use a hand. And besides, it seems the one with the sword isn't all natural."

The two sat in silence on this assessment. Garet was NOT programmed for supernatural battle. He was meant for strike missions on humans. And this was also not from modern day. Not even close to it. Garet was programmed from after magic had died. Or, at least, from somewhere it had died.

Terran, however, was used to it, by now, being a pyro and all. And his race didn't help that any. He was a demi-vamp, as one refered to him. Half the weaknesses at the cost of almost no extra powers. So, in his more than botched siring, he recieved non aging, or at least, not aging any time fast. In sixteen years, he'd aged nothing. He was immune from sunlight and all that, but it burned him faster than normal people. As for Vampire's and their blood fetish, he was bound to that, and he used simple seduction to screw it out of people. Worked well enough.

As for the moment, they both sat, thinking over the moment, trying to figure if this attack was worth helping.

Tech Attack
Fireshot

Terran jumped up, Garet following a simple hand gesture. The two formed a line with Garet in front, who jumped up a couple feet and curled into a tight ball, his head tucked in deep. Terran rushed behind him, pulling his leg far back, kicking Garet forward, deadaimed at Vincent. His aim was off, mind you, but it was alright. He bashed into the Shield up front that Vincent was just about to Sephiroth'd. Bouncing into the line of fire, Garet turned to raise up his hands, going for a blade grasp.

Terran, several feet off, watched with a grin, noticing the two women. His thoughts wandered a moment before he nodded, deciding Vincent was the main threat. The vampire did the opposite of most other fighters, though, just taking his time so that he could stroll into battle.

Ryudo still watched high up in the sky, about 100-150 feet up anyways. He'd noticed things going silent down below, but still saw the action. Things were still moving sloly down there, and if they didn't quicken up, he might just have to do something to make it interesting again.

Even though the noise canceller would have nulified the bang effects of the flashbangs, there was still the bright blinding effect for Vincent to worry about, so since he was charging in a likely blinded state, the men simply moved out of his way quite easily, though he did manage to cut one of their arms quite badly, almost clean off. The remainder of the men simply regrouped and opened fire, again on Vincent, bar the riflemen who opened fire on the two women who had lept from the roof

_______Vincent's eyes were unlike normal human eyes and "bright" was a concept nothing more than a memory. Through his eyes, the entire world was stained with shades of red. But these shades of red sufficed to allow Vincent to rend apart each gunman, beginning with those attacking his comrades and ending with those who would likely fill his body with bullets before they would fall.
_______Drucilla and Konstantine landed hard on the ground but with death coming from every direction, they found much motivation to recover quickly. Still dragging Konstantine because of the silence about which she had no time to wonder, Drucilla raised her hand to cast a quick spell requiring only a thought and not a word. The glass shattered and the pair jumped through and hid on the other side from the gunfire they knew was coming despite no audible warning...

Even if he only saw shades of red, he would start seeing rather bright, blinding shades of red. The flash from these was the kind of thing that shorts out Night vision or thermal goggles from the power and heat of the flash. So he would be mearly slashing randomly and blindly for a few moments as his body was riddled with bullets, injuring some more Shields, maybe killing one or two, as a team split off to go after the other two.

Griff Morivan, operating author for Terran Maxwell and Series 6 Attack Robot unit 37, Garet, is totally incapable of posting anything decent due to an absolutely idiotic post. God moding will melt the brain, kids.

Terran waits and Garet steps back, the two regrouping to form a plan...

*A firefight... a large firefight between an entire riot team and what seems like a Sephiroth wannabe. This was not allowed inside the city of Latent. Soon after the battle had started and right before Sienna had showed up, 20 men appeard from alleyways and streets, surrounding the battlefield. 15 of these men, dressed in very thick, but light armor, all carrying bardiches and short swords. The remaining five with long, blue and white streaked hair and blue and white robes, staying behind the fighters, looking very priest-like. One of the 15 fighters looks into the frey and calls out in a large, booming voice that seems to echoe through the entire area*

This is the Leviathan Elite Guard! If you do not halt this aggressive behaviour, drastic action WILL be taken!

*With that, all of the remaining fighters lower their pole-arms toward the fight as the priests begins chanting something from their hiding spot in the alleys. As they chant, the pole-arms of the fighters glow a bit and large spikes of ice cover the poles and parts of their armor. Then everything went silent*

*Enki was unaware of the fight going on right now. He had made his way to the docks and was looking through the different things for sale along the wodden planks near the ships*
PostPosted: Tue Jul 19, 2005 12:47 am

There was a silent ruffle of cloth behind Enki, the sounds of the waves lapping onto the jetty and the swaying boats at the dock masking the subtle sound - before Tomorrow spoke, his voice cold as ice. "I thought you were going to come with us." He muttered.

He looked dressed to kill - literally. Black slacks, black gloves, black shirt, and a red coat swaying gently in the sea breeze. A few sailors paled at the sight, ducking behind some boxes - this man fitted the description of the walking death-dealer in Durem a year ago - only he'd gotten beefed up somewhere down the track.

Tomorrow's hands were hanging limply by his sides, the special sunglasses adorning his face flashing gently in the soft light. A quiet pingping emitted from one of the shafts near his ear, so quiet only he could hear it, and he turned his head slightly towards the area where the fight was happening...

...Before his head turned back to Enki. "Well?"

*Enki didn't bother to turn around, he just stared out at the waves*

Call me a bad father all you want... I trust my daighter, and the angel that lives inside her... I also know that you'd never let her get hurt.. I'm trusting you with her... I still have a son out there somwhere... for that reason I never stray far from this area so his father will be here when he comes back. I may not always see Juunikyuu, but she always knows where she can find me...

*He turns around and faces Tomorrow, ooking up at the large man*

I can't go... because I still have the rest of my family... I have my home... and I have my people...

*Gestures toward Latent*

If it were just Juunish and that man, I would definately go... but I know you'll protect her...

Tomorrow stared down at the man, his face blank - before he turned and walked away.

Excuses...maybe. Pathetic...a little. But at least he was smart enough not to interfere.

Tomorrow dissapeared quite quickly for a man his size. Even walking down that long jetty, his body seemed to just dissolve into the background, as if he belonged there...

The very nervous newcomer, having followed Sienna into a bit of a catastrophe in her eyes, Ami altered herself imperceptibly into a defensive stance.

"Err. Sienna I think we got here at a bad time.

At the sight of the elites and everything Garet and Terran made several steps back, the two looking over everything, harshly rethinking this attack.

"Is retreat our option?"

"...You can."

"What!?"

"You might be looked for, remember? We still don't know who made you, and if the LEGs find a mech, they'll turn you to higher ups. Who knows where you'll go from there."

"...And you?"

"I have nothing to lose, so I'll help out the LEGs. Make sure to keep clear, and try and get some of the civilians out of the way. Less casualties, the better, you know?"

Garet nodded gently, making his way back, those silver eyes frozen on Terran for a few seconds before he ran.

As for Terran and the sudden drop in his voice, a new kind of power surged. A darker one. The Flames Of Darkness, an new level of power, spawned from the battle with that shadow beast, Maximos.

_______Vincent's eyes saw a small source of light energy from what must have been intended to blind. The light faded another instant later and he gave the thought a mental chuckle as he struck down each of the remaining gunmen. As he removed his sword from the chest of one such unsuccessful guard, he fell onto one knee. He looked down at his body, boasting several more bleeding holes than it had had before.
_______Men spoke from afar but Vincent could hardly hear him from the pain that clogged up the workings of his brain. Of the words he could make out, Leviathan Elite Guard was enough for him to know what it was time to do. His right hand reached into his coat, imbued with metallic property strong enough to have prevented it from suffering the same fate as his body might have. Upon a piece of paper, a seal of magic as they once called them, were written four symbols. He struggled to his feet and pressed him thumb into the back of the seal. The ground rumbled and dust flew about Vincent's feet before a brief flash of light removed his presence from Latent Town.
_______Drucilla cursed foul curses, surprised she had somehow removed herself from the effect she had suffered outside. She counted her options and then watched them dwindle when Konstantine told her the Leviathan Elite Guard had arrived on the scene. "It's over," Konstantine said to herself, something in between fear and relief in her voice. She repeated herself in her native tongue for the benefit of Drucilla who hadn't been in this world long enough to learn the language. More vile curses were found in Drucilla's begrudging agreement.
_______Drucilla grabbed a single vial of dark green liquid attached not to hers but to Konstantine's belt. She smashed it against the wall on which she sat leaning. The liquid turned to gas and was absorbed into Drucilla's body in the stead of charging energy. The violent touch in Drucilla's spell of teleportation shone through as the walls of the home they sat cowering inside began shaking. All the windows remaining unbroken shattered a second later and everything began to crumble. A fire erupted from the absence of Konstantine and Drucilla's bodies before, finally, peace would reign once more in Latent Town...
