Isiah took the water, sighing, taking a meager sip before stuffing it back into the bag. He stood, eyes shut tight, willing his knees to lock before picking up the bag, reaching down one handed to grab Tsurai by the back of his neck, pulling him back up against his chest. "It's got to be only.. maybe.. a half an hour.."

Tsurai winced and grabbed a hold of Isiah's shirt collar.
"Yeah. A half an hour. Then you'll pass out. And probably never wake up. Or if you do, you'll be delerious. We both don't want that. So sit.."
He growled, yanking on Isiah as best he could, but knowing it wasn't goign to do anything unless the man was weaker than Tsurai thought he was.
"Back... DOWN."

Isiah grunted, ignoring him, pacing forward slowly. His forehead was furrowed in stubborn resolve. He could be an irrational a**, when it came to his strength he would push until he collapsed.
"I can make it. And you can't walk."
He pushed forward for another fifteen minutes, ignoring Tsurai's pleads and orders, a huge smile spreading over his face as he finally saw dark dots on the horizon- dead buildings looming. "Thank Sim.."
The old God's name sounded strange coming from his lips- delerium brought forth a different set of memories, almost a new conciousness.

Tsurai growled.
"Isiah! This is ridiculous! Stop!" With a grunt, the boy reached up and pulled at the shirt collar again.
"It doesn't matter if we get there today! You need to rest! Do I REALLY need to kick your balls again, Isiah? Seriously! Quit it!"
He closed his eyes tightly and tried to think of something that might make the man stop. Alphas. Youngest Ceta. Kaegan. Kaegan broke a lot of bones. He must've been alpha. He should say something about Kaegan. But what?
"KAEGAN wouldn't want you to push yourself this hard! After living through all that Denzien s**t, do you REALLY think being stubborn now is worth DYING, Isiah?! PLEASE FOR ******** CHRIST SAKES JUST REST A WHILE!" He screamed.

He panted, shaking his head back and forth. "Tsurai, we're almost there! It's only a little bit-" He stopped halfway at the mention of Kaegan, his knees buckling before he fell- he pushed out his arms so that Tsurai wouldn't be crushed as his chest hit dirt, his damp shirt taking in the dust, his ragged breath throwing small flurries. Tsurai's fall would be cushioned by Isiah's forearms- not much, but better than nothing.
Isiah lay there in the dirt, panting, eyes hazy.

Tsurai yelped and instinctively put his arm infront of his face , putting his chin to his chest so he wouldn't break anything when he fell.
After he recovered however, he rolled off Isiah's arms and tried to stand up anyway. This was very pitiful, because Tsurai couldn't get much higher than a kneel, and even that only lasted for a second.
Groaned, the boy still pushed himself to half-limp-half-fall, half-crawl to Isiah's side and yank the duffelbag off Isiah's back.
"Jesus christ. If there's one thing I know anything about, it's heat exaustion and stroke. And now look at you..." Tsurai said to himself, figuring Isiah was pretty much braindead, at this point.
The eighteen year old tossed the bag a few feet away so he could try and flip Isiah over.
Getting on his knees, Tsurai pulled Isiah's opposite shoulder as much as he could. "Ngh... Isiah... If you're there..." Tsurai stopped for a moment and stuck his right leg out. Maybe he could get leverage by pulling and pushing.
"Help..." Tsurai grunted pulling Isiah's opposing shoulder with his left hand and pushing the one nearest to him with his leg, causing him great pain.
",,Me...Augh!" Isiah finally rolled over. Ontop of Tsurai, who was now lying on his back. But it was good enough anyway.

Isiah grunted, his back arched uncomfortably over Isiah's leg. "How do you know Kaegan?" His voice was breathy and strained. "Don't-" he grunted, rolling onto his side to get off of Tsurai's leg, turning with a great deal of effort before plopping back onto his back on bare earth. "Don't let him talk you into-" His voice cracked from thirst. "Anything."

When Isiah allowed Tsurai to get his legs free, Tsurai got them out from under the man like a bat out of hell. The position was very painful.
"Kaegan? I onnly heard him talk..." That was a lie. He heard Isiah's boyfriend briefly mention Kaegan. But Isiah was already gone, in terms of logical thought, so Tsurai didn't bother explaining anything.
Tsurai rolled on his stomach and reached for the duffelbag he through. With a groan and a grumble, he managed to drag it back next to him, opening it up and taking out the water gallon again. Which only had about a third of a gallon left.
Letting out a loud breath of air while he repositioned himself to sit normally, legs in front of him, he slammed the jug over next to Isiah's face.
Part of him was angry, another part felt sorry for Isiah, and the last part just wanted to scream out in the immense pain he was still in.
"Can you drink this by yourself." He said flatly.

Isiah's chest rose and fell with haggard breath, nodding minutely. He needed just a minute.. just one minute to regain his strength. He shut his eyes, thinking of ice bergs and artic tundra, attempting to cool down his body with mental suggestion. Just one minute..

Tsurai groaned and put his hand to his face, placing pressure on his temples.
"You obviously can't." Tsurai finally said, more to himself than to Isiah.
Taking his hand from his haed Tsurai undid the cap of the jug and briefly wondered how he was going to do this with one arm.
"Carefully," was his smartass comment to himself.
Tsurai decided it'd be better if he lied down. So, laying next to Isiah on his right arm, the boy picked up the jug and had it angled slightly, but not enough for the water to come out.
He was trying to aim better by using the jugs shadow to align with Isiah's lips, and, almost majestically, it worked rather well.
"Open your mouth," Tsurai groaned. Once Isiah did as he was told, Tsurai would start slowly pouring water in.

Isiah gulped water down once, then twice before coughing violently, shaking his head back and forth. "Stop," he sputtered. "I can do it, you're gonna drown me."
He took another deep breath, setting his jaw before sitting up. It took an enormous amount of effort- whatever water had spilled onto his chin during his coughing fit was spilling down onto his chest now, creating a strangely clean spot in his dirt-stained wifebeater. He held there, groaning, willing himself to take the jug from Tsurai. "You didn't have to. I was.. going to."

Tsurai groaned and stopped, lying on his back after setting the jug of water down.
"No you weren't. Lay beck down. You're gonna spill the water all over the place if you do it."

Isiah grunted at his pride being so insulted, pulling the water jug onto his lap, letting it rest there whle he gathered strength. "Least I can walk." Well.. he thought he could. He probably could. He knew he could! He just needed to drink a little water, that's all.. drink water, catch his breath.
He glanced over toward Tsurai. Isiah didn't know if he could carry him the next quarter mile into town, but he had to try. Tsurai couldn't walk to town to get help, and Isiah was afraid that he wouldn't be able to find help.. much less, be able to walk the distance back. He needed bedrest. Lots, and lots, of bedrest. The solution for all denzien problems.
He grunted, pulling the water jug to his lips, taking a meager sip neatly before letting it fall back into his lap. Luckily, the water within was so low that it didn't splash out the top. "See. Ha."

Least he can walk. b*****d.
Tsurai took the water from Isiah right after he attempted to drink it. "Atleast I know when to accept that being stubborn isn't going to help me any!" he shot back.
He slammed the water on the ground next to himself, pushing it an armslength away from himself, even further from Isiah.
"Let's see you walk and get that water yourself, b*****d."

Isiah grunted, setting his jaw. He placed one hand on the ground, pushing his weight from his arm onto his shaking legs. He struggled to stay in that half squatting position, his legs quaking. He set his jaw harder, gritting his teeth, ordering his legs to steady.
After they had he lifted his hand from the ground and pushed his knees upward, legs protesting with every milimeter of movement. His knees were turned inward, toes pointing toward each other by a tiny angle, shaking, looking kind of like a toddler that had peed himself, mortified.
He rolled his houlder back, exhaling deeply, having held his breath through the ordeal. "See?"
He hadn't even taken a step yet.
