Yuudai Sasaki I hope I'm not too personal, but you still consider him your best friend after he raped you? I am glad however that you got such great children though. I bet they're wonderful. And thank you. It was really shameful, and the worst part is that the b*****d got away with it since I didn't have the guts to tell anyone. I don't like him as much as I once did, but this is due to me being suspicious of all my real life friends (when I put best friend, I meant best friend at the time), but like I said, we were both incoherent...someone drugged the punch I worked my a** off to make and so I don't even remember anything after I fell asleep in the living room...he had no idea what he was doing...But he knows there is no way in hell we could ever be a couple...partly to the distrust, but mostly because I'm more attracted to women than I am men. @ Seme/Uke topic: I can't say that I get annoyed by it normally but I do get bothered when it is overkill on the uke and they are more feminine than they should be. I do rather like when the roles can be interchanged for a couple, especially in the same fic, because most people like a little variety (sp?) in their love life. I don't mind terribly if the uke is already feminine (for Kurama's case, just a touch on the romantic side and a little sweeter than he already is) but if the overkill uke is done on someone who really shouldn't even be the uke role (say Hiei or Yusuke), then that is what bugs me the most (...unless it's Yusuke x Hiei, then by all means GO UKE HIEI! rofl ) @ Hoshi-chan: *runs off to stab Yomi*

I tend to find seme/uke stylings to be excessively heterosexist . . . but there have been occasions when I thought they were all right. >.>
In YYH, though? Don't like 'em. I don't think any of the pairings I like would have a seme/uke dynamic, and it almost squicks me to think of them that way. I prefer to work with basic relationships rather than sex, though, so maybe I'm just puritanical. Or something. Heck, I dunno -- it's entirely possible that I've just been turned off of seme/uke in YYH by too many badly-done doujinshi.

And yes, Seme/Uke relationships are extreme heterosexist. Makes me roll my eyes sometimes. And I also agree with how those sorts of relationships does not work in Yu Yu Hakusho, considering the characters' personalities. Can any of you ever picture Kuwabara being a crying, girly uke? confused

Kuwabara has cried during the show, but always for someone else than himself. And as you all know, I fancy him in a non-canon universe with Hiei. But if I came over a fanart/fanfic/doujinshi of them as a couple and one of them as an uke, then I'd cried like there was no tomorrow! gonk
(Doujinshi = Fanmade manga, often romantic.)

I'm making a doujin where they actually are girls (but with name changes and it's not just them, so it's like an alternate universe), but I would never draw them (or any anime character) as girly men unless they already were as such, but I wouldn't exaggerate it.
(Besides, the girl that would be Kuwa-chan is straight anyway)
I'm not a fan of the pairing, but in a Kuwa/Hiei relationship, I agree that I couldn't see either of them being totally one or the other.

eek The Urameshi gang as women? You need to send/show me that when you're done!
Some say that Kurama is feminine; I disagree, I think of him as androgynomous. While he may have feminine qualities i.e attacking with flowers and long hair, he also has masculine qualities i.e cold blooded murderer and thief.
I'm not saying that men can't attack with flowers or a woman can't be a thief in a series, but these are the stereotypical attributes associated with the genders. confused
And I'm not fan of Kurama/Hiei, but if I saw any of these two strong, independent guys as weak and feminine because they've been 'uke-fied' by a fan, I'd cry. gonk

I can send you a PM with what I do have done if you like. heart THAT'S THE WORD! Androgynous! I totally agree with you. I just couldn't find the word for it. sweatdrop Megumi seems to voice all the androgynous characters, doesn't she?

I am going a teensy bit off topic here but Broken Hearted Hiei, I saw your signature of Kurama and Kuwabara there and I must say... I am stunned eek with what a pretty couple they actually make. Kuwa's got a great tan in that image too ^_~ This is not to say that I didn't find Kuwabara attractive before of course. It's just that I could never really picture Kurama and him together, and I haven't seen all that many images of them together(official or not) where they are both serious. So this is a slight shocker(a pleasant one though of course) for me.

@Broken Hearted: I love those pictures! They're so cute, yet funny! 4laugh Thank you so much! Megumi is a genius when it comes to voice acting; many have even taken her voice for being the one of a young boy. Wonder how they reacted when this hyperactive, little woman turned out to be the voice actor? lol
@Hoshi: I agree. *Looks at Kuwabara* He looks very attractive. Finally someone who appreciates him! biggrin
