Which would have been a good technique, had she been actually using bait, and not a half of a sandwich from her bag...

It seemed the Bagon was flashing every few moments or so, and she felt kind funny. Chloe's eyes widened, but she grinned. "Hey, Saku, you're evolving," she grinned, filling in the small dragon on what was happening.

"Awesome," Chloe grinned, scooping up the dragon in a hug, to which Saku only squirmed. "You're a Shellgon now, you're one step closer to Salamence," she grinned, as Saku slowly started to get accustomed to her new form. For one, it meant walking on four legs instead of two, which Saku learned quite quickly when she tried standing on two legs and ended up on her back, the weight of her shell carrying her over backwards. Righting the toppled dragon, Chloe giggled, as Saku sulked off, Alkaid following behind her, curious.

Chloe had been too busy fawning over Saku to notice the bite on the line, but Cael had been keeping watch, and had dispatched the Sharpedo with little trouble. He had then replaced the bait and cast again, before diving back underwater to rejoin Daimon, so by the time Chloe turned her attention back to her rod, it was if nothing had happened.

"I'd have thought I'd have had a bite by now..." she murmured with a yawn, casting her glance back out at Saku and Alkaid, who seemed to accept the change in the small dragon readily enough. The two were back out playing in the sands, goofing off as they avoided the small mountain Mikami had built with the excess sand from his huge hole.
