DarkElf27 tinytim4 Well... as a race, the tyranids are a kind, intelligent, peace-loving race, much like the tau in many respects. They have extremely advanced technology. NOT! Nids are awesome! I love the way GW has redone them... And I played em BEFORE they did! Wow! Now I can just imagine the impure Space Marines being cleansed by the Hive... ... but alas, I no longer have nids anymore... no, I'm stuck with eldar... but still! I love the way the gaunts are so cheap... so they're just cannon-fodder for the enemy by the time the Carnifex gets there... and I like the way they redid the Carnifex as well. Then the Rippers are really good too... they DON'T DIE!!!! which is cool... My praise is unending for tyranids, so I'm gonna stop here and let someone else take over about biovores.Yes, if the Imperium could somehow pit the Xenos against the Chaos and Heretics, That would solve their problems for a while. Oh no no no no! When I spoke of impure Space Marines I MEANT the Imperium!

I realize that, but most of the blamefor the Imperiums corruption lies with the Inquisition; the Space Marines are just about the most pure thing in the Imperium.

Some of the Space marines are..like the Space Wolves. Others, like the Ultramarines who answer directly to the high lords of terra (who are greater deamons of chaos!!!) are actually doing a lot of bad things...

Last I'd heard the High Lords of Terra were largely under the sway of the Deciever, that wiley old C'tan, not greater Daemons... What bit of fluff is this Greater Daemon thing from?

Calm down Geist. You'll get responded to eventually.
I'm not a 'Nid player but that list looks kind of bloated to me. But then, I usually play 1000-1500 point battles. One thing that looks off to me is that I know biovores can only take one type of mine, and you can't have more than one brood of biovores per list.
Anyway, I'll just let you know to beware the Tau. We have a S6 AP 4 Large Blast Template that will make mincemeat out of your precious and expensive Genestealers. Furthermore, your gaunts and raveners are just going to evaporate under a withering hail of S5 AP5 fire.
The upside is that you have lots of genestealers with 4+ saves. They should at least get two units into assault. Likewise, your biovores, carnifex and genestealers aren't dependant on Synapse. Which leads me to the downside. Your downside is that all your fast units are squishy, and I see a serious lack of fast Synapse creatures. Granted, this list is fairly shooty, but it still has alot of assaulters, so you should probably throw some wings on either the tyrant or a squad of the warriors to keep up with the gaunts and raveners. This list isn't really all that gimmicky, but there's nothing particularly inspired about it either. *shrug* but if it works for you, keep using it.

What he said, plus I do believe you should take another Hive Tryant. When used correctly a single Hive Tryant done right can be much more useful than any number of gaunts.

Stumpy2000 i got a kind of mini tournament thing comming up, and have to fight 1500 of Necrons. any one got any tips of wat i shud include? or tactics? Necrons mean MONOLITH. This means your "additional AP" weapons don''t get bonuses - No monstrous, No rending claws... You have to pack your STRONG weapons. Now, I''d suggest a broodlord with stealer retinue, use the CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP spinegaunts as your basic troop... That leaves you more point for your stealers. Take rending claws on things that can have them for close combat. Give your strong S9 (if possible) guns at the back of the field for targetting Monoliths if it''s there, because they''re all that''ll hurt it. If possible, a couple Zoanthropes with Warp Blast and Psychic Scream in the mix could help you too. Rip through him in CC. You''ll be attacking before him, and he won''t live to see the end of combat.

Stumpy2000 thanks. should i take any elits or fast attack? or just use all points for stealers? i'm not good with knowing what Zoanthropes count as. Basically, You want about 3 of your strong guns that don't do additional AP damage, because monoliths are immune to them. You want your HQ as a broodlord with stealer retinue. Your troops are cheap as chips spinegaunts, because at the very least you can tie up his scarab swarms. Other than that, Get STEALERS in there. As many as possible.

Thanks Oryn. I've yet to try it out, put I think it'll do pretty good. I was thinking about a broodlord to let some of those genestealers get closer. I think I may have tooled up the gaunts a tad much considering that their primary task is to be cannon fodder. The instinctive behavior rules are a lot more forgiving now, so I'll take my chances with the slow synapse models.
