But they were probably expecting that. There are a lot of people that just do that sort of stuff... Sadly.

That's one of the problems, but I'd say that money is also a big problem... the surplus to some and the lack to others... stare

Like Kita said, they were probably expecting that. I actually went to an IHOP a few months ago, where they were serving a small platter (2 large) pancakes for free. The only thing they requested that in exchange the visitors donate to their charity.
We donated, but my estimate is that 1/3 of the patrons left without donating. If they're given the choice, then it's up to them, really.

I'm also sure that other's will make up for those that lack to pay. Some are in a tight spot when it comes to money or have no conscience, but I'm sure that there are others that will pay in surplus to maybe help with the deficit. 3nodding

Well The world will only be my problem for some sixty or seventy years so I plan to deal with the jerks and make the most of it.

That 60-70 years reminds me of a discussion I had with a friend about a year ago. Afterlife. What's your belief?

I think it's sort of vague personally. The after-life I mean. If you mean if I believe in heaven and hell, no. I don't. I think that has been created in our mind to help us try to become more fearful of what will happen to our "souls" when we die. What about you?

I think what's strange is the infinite time after you die. If we live x number of years as we are now, then go to heaven/hell for eternity, then... what's the point? sweatdrop Ya know?
Reincarnation's looking good about now.

Yep. Reincarnation is pretty interesting. I think that one is a realistic concept, though still sort of strange. As are ghosts in general... stare

Well, raincarnation alone is thought of differently if you don't understand the concept of Buddhism in general.
Basically, Buddhism states that everyone and everything is one. You and your computer components ultimately date back to the same material and origins. Even you and I are the same spirit, just at seperate times.

Yes, but as Buddhists have also stated that if one were to reach Enlightenment, your reincarnations will stop. That we are put on earth to learn what is needed to be learned and we will learn it until we discover a higher order. Hmm, odd if you ask me.

Personally I think that the afterlife will be a vast nothingness. Which doesn't scare me at all. I've had several scrapes with death to the point where I just accept it. Anywho, I think that if matter cannot be destroyed nor created then there can't be a heaven or hell because something would have to keep your spirit together. Think about it if everything decomposes than it's not really possible.
But I don't like curb stomping people's beliefs so I keep an open mind (most the time)
I personally Like the eastern religions and philosophies, more power to them. I mean really The whole why are we here question is pretty lame, Can't we just be here simply to live and experience?
Oi that was a long post.

The_Next_Hendrix Anywho, I think that if matter cannot be destroyed nor created then there can't be a heaven or hell because something would have to keep your spirit together. Think about it if everything decomposes than it's not really possible. That's been a valid argument for quite a while for some Buddhists. The_Next_Hendrix I mean really The whole why are we here question is pretty lame, Can't we just be here simply to live and experience? Right on! biggrin The_Next_Hendrix But I don't like curb stomping people's beliefs so I keep an open mind (most the time) That's a very nice trait to have, Hendrix. It's often a good thing to accept people's differences in beliefs and appearance, but we shouldn't forget to also celebrate these differences that make us unique. 3nodding
