Misaki blushed profusely, shooting a glare at Jeika as he felt as he'd been slapped across the face. She turned back to Nikolai, laughing nervously. Eh heh...yeah...That's too bad, really, though I know what you mean, I will never age unless it's the will of my parents, she said, tapping her black fingernail to her lower lip.

Nikolai first glanced at Jeika. Her type? He wasn't really sure what he meant by that...but he didn't want to ask either. He seemed rather concerned about remaining polite. "I am originally from Russia...but I have forgotten my town. Traveling has worn down my accent." He then looked back to Misaki, curious about her blush. "Your parents will not let you age? At least you may breath and live," he added softly.

Misaki took a deep breath, trying to avoid eye contact with Nikolai, due to her embarassment. My siblings and I are like dolls to my mother, we age to her liking...and she keeps us where we're best suited, I guess, she said, shrugging a shoulder. Live and breathe? Now that's debateable, especially when living with my father, she mumbled.

If she suggested they let her age, they would probably allow it. Her father is psycho, unfortunately...that's why she chooses to just let it be up to them...Jeika muttered, brushing his fingers through his hair, as though bored. It's an interesting accent...Even if worn down some...he added, shifting to fold his arms over his chest, slighlty uncomfortable in the presence of this stranger.

Nikolai frowned some. It sounded like Misaki had it worse than he...and here he was moping about his own little problems. "I am sorry to here that. I suppose I should not complain since I at least do not have someone ruling over my life." He then gave her a small bow. "But at least they do not steal your beauty." He knew girls liked compliments and hoped it would cheer her up. It always had with Sinya. Nikolai then looked at Jeika, noticing the way he stood. "A stronger accent is much better. You can hear many accents when traveling."

Misaki blushed violently, glancing down and to the side. No no no, it's not that bad...And my 'beauty'? I don't think...that could be possible, given I look just like my parents, she laughed nervously, scratching her elbow. She didn't have much of an accent, just a typical Japanese one, but she had a raft of half-siblings with such thick accents she could hardly understand them, so she was pretty good with them. She glanced to Jeika again, out of habit, before turning back to Nikolai.

Nikolai watched her. Usually a woman would laugh and thank the person but Misaki's reation was new to him. "Any child of a deity must be beautiful. And I think your friend," he glance quickly at Jeika, "would agree that you are elegant."

Misaki stared at Nikolai with a blank expression for a few moments before smiling some. Jeika doesn't think anyone is elegant, she said, smirking a bit. He might think I'm pretty, sure...but that's a given, he has to, she joked with a wink.

Jeika decided it was for the best not to open his mouth, and inwardly grinned as a raft of responces to the conversation ran through his mind. Pretty? That's an understatement...But elegant? Elegant might be a little much...he snickered in his mind, letting his lips shift into a smirk as he shook his head in amusement to Misaki. Wait...Have to? he blurted, raising an eyebrow to her, rather disregarding that she was making a new friend.

Nikolai looked at the two of them, unsure now if they were just friends or more. Though, it didn't really matter. Nikolai had never looked for love and didn't see a point in starting now. "Well...I think Misaki is elegant.. Am I not allowed to think that?"

Misaki smiled faintly to Jeika. You have to, we've known eachother forever, she commented before turning back to Nikolai. Elegant? Wow, thanks, she said with a blush. I just haven't gotten that kind of compliment...

You're more than welcome to think so, Nikolai. I suppose statistically, somebody has to...Jeika muttered, inwardly grinning. To be honest, he thought that as well. But - Misaki would never know. Not until she showed the interest Jeika wanted.

Nikolai gave a small smile to Misaki but not enough to show teeth. If Jeika hadn't been there, he would have kissed her hand to seal the compliment...but he wouldn't risk it. "You are quite welcome, Misaki." He then glanced at Jeika. "Then I am glad to be the one to think so if someone must."

Misaki shifted once more, wrapping her arms around herself. She stayed silent, unsure of what Jeika's intentions were, and she felt awkward not knowing, and not knowing what the words between the lines were, or in this case, the words in the silence.

Jeika shook his head and shifted, taking a couple steps away from the other two to look at a book who's binding caught his eye. He pulled the thick, blue book from the shelf and brushed a hand over it, reading the title before flipping it over to read the back. Shrugging he put it back, deciding the words inside weren't as interesting as the cover made it appear. He leaned against the shelves and looked to Misaki and Nikolai. I'm going to go look through the periodicals...would you like to come?
