AshWufei first, dpesn't Mick play a 7? Second, was that statement really necesary? Nope... I'd kill for one of Steve Vai's UV777s. In fact.... I want one really really bad. The problem with 7s is that most people don't use them so there's not a huge demand for them, let alone all the parts for them that you'd need (Pickups need to be specially made, bridges are insane, plus the nut....man, it just goes on).

DiMarzio makes 7 pickups all the time..
Interestingly enough, with as popular as 7 stringers are in the metal world (which still isnt all THAT popular), they are just as, if not more so, popular in the jazz world. Many jazz players use 7's for the extra bottom end.

Yeah, DiMarzio makes seven strings just as they make six string pickups.
EMG have a set, too.

If the guitar says that then ...... link it XD It has seven on it because it's his number in Slipknot and no he doesnt play a 7-string. Alot of people use 7-strings before and after KoRn and alot of other bands used them.

bambulus Yeah, DiMarzio makes seven strings just as they make six string pickups.
EMG have a set, too. I guess my point was that they're difficult to make and they are a specialty pickup. There's only a limited selection of them around.

AshWufei Is it just me or has there been a sudden 50% increase in the number of active members??? and an 80% decrease in the number of join requests. They were backlogged from January, so I cleaned them up a bit.

After half a year of saving up, getting brownie-points from my parents, and the wait to go to montreal to the best dealer I've ever seen...
I finally got my 1960 reissue Gibson Les Paul Standard!

Here's Me standing with it....

And me posing while playing...

Sorry for me being Mug-shot.x-x

Good plan... I wish I had one like that..... crying Not that I'm that unhappy with a good old epiphone, but I know that there's just that much more to the LP.
