Taki sat quitely and rested her head on Daishi's shoulder. She closed her eyes and smiled a little, even through the pain.
Thank you... I'm sorry... I'm sorry I'm such a burden...

Daishi shook his head, giving a small smile of his own.
"Don't be, you're no burden. We just have to remember to keep you away from alcohol..."
He held her close, feeling a sense of protectiveness. Wishing he could take away her pain, but knowing he couldn't, gave him a feeling of helplessness. So he did the only thing he could, hold and wait with her for the pain to end. He'd always protect her.

With her head and body aching, Taki found a great comfort being with Daishi. As she sat, rest on Daishi she had found a feeling of safety that she had never before experienced. She never wanted to his side. She let her eyes go out of focus and she soon fell asleep, as she did so, a warm smile crossed her lips and she dropped her defences to nothing, a profound statemet of trust in Daishi.
Back in the cave...
"I would be happy to join you, outlander... If the Haut harass us, I would like nothing better than to crush some skulls..."
Ral's eyes narrowed into an expression of seriousness as he trailled off with a hiss. He stood and went to pick up his travel bag and ebony halberd. He lifted the 300 lb weapon with ease he reddied himslef by replacing his bonemold armor for a more light and durable kind, glass. As he dawned this new armor he had aquired durring the ambush the day before, he looked even more fierce. Jaged spikes and blades of green and white glass alloy went in all directions outward. With it dawned the Haut attacks would do little to him. He no longer looked like an Orligonian, but an arctronacht, after was it was fashioned to look like.

Daishi sat still, watching her as she slept and absently stroking her hair. He knew he couldn't leave her. His thoughts turned to the war, to the idiot, and the unknown land to which he was taken.
Is he still under the Red Moon's effect, even though it has disappeared? Or has he returned to his normal self? And where in all the worlds has he gone? I've never been to that place before, otherwise I would be able to easily make a portal to it. If only I could have a sense of where the world lies and what it's like, I may be able to seek it out...I'll look into it more once Catylxe and the other two return from their meeting...
For now, he would rest a little. Closing his eyes, he meditated, resting his body, yet keeping his mind awake and aware should anything occur.

Catalyxe smiled weakly at Ahnthros, then nodded to Ral "Thank you, brother, Ral.....hopefully it will not come to producing more casualties. Noodle, pleaqse stay here and protect this place as best you can"
Noodle smiled and hopped down off of Catalyxe's head, then over onto the table "Pipipi pi pipipipi pi!"
Catalyxe turned and walked toward the tunnel leading outside "Let's go"

Ral followed without speaking, out of the corner of his eyehe noticed Taki's M-60. He stepped away and picked it up with one hand.
"What is this thing? Some kind of Outlander crossbow?"
He then proceeded to remove a chain of ammo from a box.
"Hmmm... And these would be the bolts? Whatever they are it could be quite useful for our trip..."
He walked out of the cave and quickly caught up to Catalyxe and Ahnthros, still holding the M-60 and ammo.

AS Ral caught up with Catalyxe, he pondered all that happened, and tried to not think of it. They soon approached the border, crossed it, and in no time arrived at the Capitol. As they entered through the gates, he turned to Ahnthros and Ral "It is strange, the security is not as strict as I would have imagined.....maybe they aren't totally evil after all....still, something needs to be done, this war is benefiting nobody, niether Auro, Parleur or even the Orligonians" He looked at Ral, and thought of something to break the eerie silence between the 3 of them "Ral, do you mind if I ask you a few questions about you and yoru people?"

Daishi looked up as Kana stepped out from a portal a few feet away and motioned him to be quiet, gesturing towards Taki. Kana arched an eyebrow, wondering what had gone on but refrained from asking anything, knowing more important things had to be dealt with. Kana sat down beside the pair and spoke to Daishi telepathically.
"You probably already know of Travis going to another world since he was here before he left. He's now in the Elemental Kingdoms and apparently he's in a bit of trouble."
Kana quickly gave the information imparted to him by Nissin to Daishi, who nodded.
"Very well, I'll go. Stay here and watch over Taki and Cyrus. They should be safe here inside the barrier, but just in case. See you later."
Daishi had the air hold up Taki while he stood and placed his black trenchcoat behind her as a pillow and gently rested her upon it. He softly kissed her forehead, so delicately as though he were afraid to break her and it would seem as a mere caress of the wind itself. With a last nod to Kana, he left for the Elemental Kingdoms.

Ahnthros looked at the weapon with slightly wide eyes, but, quickly recognized it "That would be..."
Suddenly a small object similar to a floating metal cue ball with an antenna popped out of Ahtnrhos's pocket. "An M-60 Assault Rifle, complete with ammunition with which to fire"
Ahnthros grabbed the little bot and stuffed him into his pocket "Beamer, where have you been!? I was beginning to hope you had short-circuited somewhere and were doen for!" He looked over and saw the look on his brother's face "Oh, that was Beamer, a small bot I created a good while ago, he is quite useful for hacking into anything electronic and retaining information" He sneered as Beamer arose from his pocket again "and also annoying me to no end! Anyway, that is a gun, which is like a high-tech crossbow, if you would see it that way, and can fire metal projectiles very fast, making the attack very difficult to avoid" They approached the palace, and Ahnthros asked the guard to relay a request to the Parleur leader for a meeting with her
Megami noticed it was near dawn, and realized she had stayed up all night. She turned to Koori. "I do hope you will consider staying for a little longer, I will make sure you are treated well" Suddenly one of the guards knocked at the door "Excuse me, Mistress, but the leaders of the Orligonian Resistance and the Outlanders protecting Auro have arrived in the city, and they wish to have an audience with you"
Megami sighed, but turned and smiled to Koori "It seems that I am going to have to deal with them sooner than expected.....Koori, would you mind keeping me company for the meeting?"

To the rest of the gang...
"Well, I dont know the specifics. I may have been the son of our clan Elder and Chieften(sp?), but I was left out of the loop except in war meetings. The Orli-Haut War was when we were an empire. The center being the marshes, a very holy area for us. We attacked a fledgling nation, who fought back, the war was bloody and eventually we were pushed back to the marshes. It lasted about three hundred years. Which for us isnt very long. That was 18 generations ago. To give you a grasp of that time, we have on laying season every two hundred years, you can see why we lost, but each season marks a new generation. We live naturaly to well over one thousand. my father who fell ill and began to die was thirteen hundred years old. We signed a treaty with the Haut, as they became known, that lasted until know. When their old leader began to expand into Auro the treaty ended and they tried to take the holy grounds in the marsh in search of our Life God's power. So it was a rather short time. About twenty years of fighting. We never had any large scale battles just ambushes and skirmishs. But they continue to push into the marshlands and sustain huge amouts of casualties due to the poison. The battle that took my village, we lost one hundred twenty eight they lost over fifty thousand. We only had women, children, elderly and guards. No real warriors. That is what you wished to know, right Outlander?"

Catalyxe listened intently, and blushed slightly as the very strangely attractive Saurian refered to him as 'Outlander' once again "Please, call me Catalyxe, or Cat, if you wish. Besides, I consider you a friend now, Ral" He looked over as the escort came and ushered them intot he palace. As they ehaded down the corridors to the arranged meeting area, He turned to Ral, with a rueful expression "But that......that is just wrong......everythign can be resolved peacefully, if you try hard enough, I am sure you and the Haut of Parleur can come to some sort of realationship that would benefit both peoples."

"Dont think anything of Outlander, its just a title given to creatures from Outlands. Its a hard habit to break, Outlander. It may be posible to bring peace but I wouldnt get my hopes up if I were you, Outlander."

Ahnthros chuckled in his mind as he noticed his brother getting back to his old self, his depression washing away with the combination of the current mission and the very muscular saurian in their party "Dear brother, you look a tad flushed.....could it be that you find our Orligonian friend attractive?" He smirked as Catalyxe's face went the color of a blueberry, and turned to Ral "So, are you attracted to my brother as well?" Beamer followed close behind, babbling endlessly about the palace, Parluer, and other information that was unimportant at the moment.
