I'm going to my first Regional competition tomorrow and I'm so scared and nervous. ;-; I sit first chair clarinet and I have a solo and everything. Omg, I'm freaking out. gonk

Ghost T I march w/ my bass clarinet...in concert I am armed with my Contra-bass clarinet. biggrin TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!! contra-bass clarinet is one of the most awesomest instruments ever... contra-bass anything is pretty cool... heh heh.... i play a bit of bess clarinet meself (i'm learning)

Ghost T I march w/ my bass clarinet...in concert I am armed with my Contra-bass clarinet. biggrin that's total cool... nobody in my school's band marches with the bass clarinet (tho we need one to march this year)... anyways, I'm the first chair clarinet at Belton-Honea Path High School. I've been playing the clarinet for 5 years now, and have recently earned an excellent at Solo and Ensamble (don't trust my spell b/c it suxs) playing Rondo in B Major.

i've been playin for almost 4 yrs. . . i know how to play bass clary but my band teachers picked crappy pplz to play it (cuz they sucked so bad @ clary) i'm 3rd chair 3nodding

I dunno if this has been posted before.. but I'll share it anyways.
I bought a box of really expensive reeds, cause I thought they'd play awesome.. but out of a box of 5, only two were playable. So I got pissed.. cause I have to pay for everything myself, so I decided that I couldn't make them anyworse then they already were, so I filed them down a bit with some sand paper, then tried playing with them, and they were amazing. So.. yea.. that's my neat little trick razz

So.. yea.. that's my neat little trick razz the only way i can get reeds just right is to file them down... i can't tell you how long i've been doing that... my bro taught me that trick... he plays sax....
