I only vaguely recognize Black Christmas as a title, and pretty sure I never intended to see it, but roger that!
Isn't it though? I had a friend say it was good before I went, so I was rather hopeful, but yea - I mean it's not a perfect wonderful movie or anything. But it's pretty damn good and I think a better done effort within it's type of film.

Yeah, it's this disgusting movie about a serial killer on Christmas... my friend DemonicRose and I went to see it together, because we thought it was about like some occult Christmas curse or something, and we were all excited. My parents went to the movies with us, and they went to see The Pursuit of Happiness. Black Christmas was just... gross... like all it was was this serial killer escaping from prison on Christmas, so he returned to his old house and killed a bunch of chicks, eating their flesh afterward to make them 'his family.' He made their skin into cookies! gonk It wasn't scary at all, just disgusting... it showed some of the guy's past and his mom friggin' raped him, and then his sister/daughter helped him kill people... ugh... but when we came out of the theater, my parents were all, "Wow, The Pursuit of Happiness was so good!" and DR and I just glared at them like, "Shut up..." I really would just expect 2012 to be an excuse to use tons of CGI. XD

Oh! And I had a YUU*GI*OU dream last night! =D It was like... there was this area that my grandma had opened a shop up in, and it was a really weird area with tons of strange insects and wildlife. There were also tons of people there on weekends, all dressed up in crazy outfits and such, pretending to be partyers who come there just to hang out all the time. But really they would come because there were rumors that there was this amazing, rare gem hiding somewhere in this area, but they didn't want to alert other people of this gem, so they would pretend to come to this place to party, and would be secretly mining while they did. At first I was myself, visiting the area to see my grandma's shop, and I heard about the mining thing and became curious. Then somehow I became Jounouchi, and as Jounouchi he had my memories, so knew about the mining thing. He was just kind of looking around the place at first, but then, for one of the crazy party events they had, Kaiba was there, and he would like... call people up to challenge him to a fight, and he was undefeated. XD And I don't mean like dueling or anything... like he would seriously have epic, anime-style fights with people, all flipping through the air and kicking and stuff. Apparently Kaiba was also looking for the gem, and using this fighting thing as an excuse, because he had reason to believe the gem was buried in his fighting right, which was pretty much just a giant room cut out of a bunch of compressed dirt... Jounouchi, of course, felt the need to challenge Kaiba, because, s**t, his friends weren't here to stop him from beating the hell out of Kaiba for once, and he was determined to do so. So the two fought it out, and it was a really close match with a lot of taunting and such, but Jounouchi eventually won, because, dammit, it's my dream and my favorite character is allowed to come out on top once in a while in my world! XD Kaiba was pissed, and as a reward to Jounouchi for winning, he was forced to tell him about why he believed the gem thing was in this little fighting ring. He also told Jounouchi, however, to get the hell out of there because he layed claim to it. So Jounouchi went home for the night, and came back the next day, just because he kind of liked the area, and wanted to taunt Kaiba some more. When he came back though, no one was there, because apparently it was the weekday and all the people who would come to party had to go to work. They all actually worked in businesses and such, like Kaiba. So Jounouchi just lay down on a big rock and stared up at the sky, wondering if he should try looking for the gem. Eventually, he started exploring the area a little further west than where everyone was looking, and found that there were a lot of crazy animals there, like giant guinea pigs and little birds the size of insects and foxes that were half-orange, half-white... and all the animals were shy, but friendly enough where they would learn to trust people, because hardly anyone came to this area. Apparently the animals were the last of their species there, and there was a small group of people trying to protect them, because the miner/partyer people were trying to get access to come mine in this area as well. At first the people and animals were suspicious of Jounouchi, but when they determined he wasn't after the gem, they accepted him to hang out with them and get to know everyone and such. So he was all hanging out with these nature people and all these crazy animals, trying to figure out a way to help them protect this area. Suddenly, a bunch of the miners came and attacked them, invading the area, because apparently they had finally gotten permission to do so. Jounouchi tried to fight them, but there were too many, so they retreated to the area where the miners originally were, making sure the animals were hiding in their dens. Jounouchi saw that Kaiba hadn't attacked the area, since he knew the gem was really in that little dirt opening he had dug out. He got an idea to ask him to stop the invasion of this other area with the animals, because he was rich and had connections and such. Kaiba agreed to it, but Jounouchi would owe him, so he contacted the government and got them to make the animal area a national park, protected from mining and such. At this point I was beginning to wake up, and my half-awake brain was like, "...wait a minute... this dream is about Jounouchi and Kaiba and it hasn't had any Puppyshipping yet... that's not right..." so in my still-out-of-it state, I had Kaiba tell Jounouchi that since he owed him, he would have to be his slave for the day... so the two went back to the Kaiba mansion and Kaiba made Jounouchi wear a French maid costume that had a Blue Eyes theme... like... it had a bustier that kind of looked like the bottom of Blue Eye's mouth, and then a choker/shoulder covering thing that looked like the top... kind of like this, except instead it had Blue Eyes instead of a skull, the mouth surrounded the clavicles and upper chest instead of the stomach, and it was form-fitting for a guy instead of a girl. XD;; Oh, and obviously it was a French maid dress instead of a pirate getup. So yeah, Kaiba made Jounouchi do chores in that dress all day, and it made me quite happy. <3 I'm a horrible person with horrible dreams, I know... heheh...

RIGHT! I remember that now, did not see it, but yea that's nasty. I am SO not going to see it now. Yea, I think 2012 was pretty good because it wasn't just a giant effects show, they really worked on character, on connecting you to people - which is what made it so intense because you really felt everything rather than just watch random destruction for 2 hours. There was always a face to focus on, a story to contemplate, it was nice in a sad way.
HA! Ok I was thinking HELLA random dream, then you know the end happened and that kinda topped it - in spite of that sorta being done in fiction. I think I like the pirate costume better, next time your dream hits the lucid stage for that outfit!! ^_~.
So like hey, where's the gem?!

Well, that's good to hear. I may give 2012 a try then if it comes up. ^^ Hmmm... need to write sexy pirate Puppyshipping fic now... And they never actually found the gem in my dream. But I guess, theoretically, and in a romantic sense, one could say that Kaiba, in the end, realized that the real gem wasn't some rare jewel buried in the ground, but the obnoxious classmate he was constantly cruel to. After all, a jewel can't do your chores for you in a sexy maid outfit, and it can't own you in a (somewhat delicious) fight. So Jounouchi's must've been the gem all along! I mean, Kaiba did find him in that little rock dugout. XD Ah, no, I kid, I kid. Honestly, Kaiba just forgot about the damn gem because he had Jounouchi in a maid outfit as his slave. Who wouldn't 'screw the money I have slaves?' in that situation?

Ok so me and the friend I'm staying with just decided I need to write the next Twilight like sparkly masterpiece. As vampires and werewolves have been done we were saying zombies and mummies!! This will be more epic, as if I can make zombies and mummies the next big sexy thing, I will deserve to be a legend ^_~.
However then we saw a preview for Ninja Assassin (a title both repetitive and redundant I might add) and were talking about the whole pirate versus ninja thing. Which made us also think about Cowboys and Indians. So what I am going to do is Ninjas versus Cowboys (with a bit of pirates versus Indian interspersed for drama).
I now have two epic story assignments, so yea, good luck to me there ^_~.
Yea, I SWEAR that's all kinda related...b/c yea, the word pirate was in your comment...~_~.
Hahaha, nice description. Plausible, but I still want that gem. It might not do my chores, but it could hire me someone to do my chores AND send me to Paris, so that's like two birds. Although apparently most of the museums are on strike now in Paris, so now isn't that best time to go anyhow.
Ok better go sleep since I don't want to keep my friend up as I steal her computer...~_~.
Gnite!

OMG that's awesome! XD Personally, I find the idea of pirates VS Indians much more fascinating than cowboys VS ninja, but to each their own. But yes, good luck to you! Ah, but I think in Kaiba's case, he had different pros and cons to the gem VS a slave. See, he's already super rich, so doesn't need the gem to hire someone to do his chores or go to Paris. Plus, this isn't just any slave: It's Jounouchi. Someone he enjoys tormenting to an almost unhealthy level. Not to mention, since the setting was in my dream, he probably was totally into Jounouchi, and enjoyed watching him in the maid outfit. XD

Well, I like Indians more than Cowboys for sure (no love for the small pox carrying, gun wielding, fashion impaired, hostile takeover task team)...but I like Ninjas more than Pirates (I'm all about technical efficiency, discipline and showers). Decided to do a cross of my interests. Plus this feels a bit more "even" to me battlewise.
Maybe...but I still think Kaiba would won't both, he's a bit of a greedy b*****d you know ^_~.

I also like Indians more than cowboys, and as for the pirate ninja thing... it depends on the context. Like if you're comparing Naruto to One Piece, One Piece all the way. But if you're comparing Pirates of the Caribbean to er... some ninja movie, PotC wins. And then in general, like for actual pirates and ninja, pirates are disgusting and horrible, and ninja never existed so... I really am mixed. XD I think overall I pick ninja though, as long as it isn't the stereotypical quiet, running around in a black hood and mask with no personality. But for me, the Indian/Pirate battle seemed more interesting, because honestly... if all of them are at their full potential, ninja win no matter what. They're just too stealthy to not, where's the others mostly only have guns, swords, or nature on their sides. And then I don't really like cowboys so... that leaves pirates and Indians. That idea seems pretty interesting to me, thinking of pirates trying to find buried treasure in early North America, and fighting natives for it. <3 I can just imagine the pirates running and shouting and capturing Indians, while the Indians hide in the trees and shoot arrows at the pirates, trying to avoid their gunshots. True, true for Kaiba. XD

I'm just talking pirates versus ninja, and ninjas exist - not maybe in the sense that they are portrayed in most modern fiction (as military squadron). Originally, they were mercenaries, spies. They probably have as negative a connotation to their society as pirates do to theirs (hence the comparability). Like pirates - criminal in a sense, but at least far more skilled and goal oriented.
Given the true nature of ninja, it's not necessarily a cut clear winner, however I think Indian versus anything (besides other tribal cultures) is at a disadvantage. I mean it'd amount to the same as with the cowboys - they'd get shot, the pirates would bring disease, they'd be almost wiped out. The difference is in what the pirates are there to take - it'd in a sense be less (because pirates don't want land and that's all Indians need), but in another sense pirates would have less scruples about the immorality of the situation, and have no qualms regarding whether or not to help the people they are trying to oppress.
Cowboys versus Ninja appeals to me because it's Cops versus Robbers really (just these robbers are culturally different , which adds a new element). I LOVE cops versus robbers, and was my favorite childhood game too ^_~.

Yeah, but they weren't even called ninja until after that 'time period,' and they were just so completely different from how ninja are portrayed in culture, it almost seems like a stretch to consider them the same thing. Yeah, I could see how pirates bringing diseases to natives would make things less interesting, like with colonizing, but what if natives also brought diseases to the pirates? That might make things a little more even. And I think that if the natives were very skilled in hiding in their terrain and such, it would be interesting to watch. Ah, see I never really played cops and robbers. XD;;

Yea, but I'm a bit of a history buff, besides - it's not the "what" that was actually so different, it's the how they are viewed. Basically they are the "good guys" in modern culture, they weren't actually that. As far as skills and function go, not all that different. And as good/bad are merely relative terms, I rarely care about that when making an assessment of something.
And considering pirates are of the same native origins as the Puritans who actually settled this country, I think that is likely the same effect, realistically speaking. I mean think about it, Natives had such a basic to the earth living, what genetically mutated disease are they really going to carry? The "white man" may have been dirtier, from a society more riddled with pollutants - but it's what makes them (a) more likely to carry diseases that are of minimal effect to themselves and (b) give them a stronger immune system to deal with whatever they were to pick up. I have a harder time defying logic without proof - maybe that's what attracts me to characters like Seto ^_~. I mean I think colonists versus natives - aside from the atrociousness of it all - was interesting as well, and so this would be, but the fight would still hardly be fair.
Cops and robbers was SO much fun. It's like tag with a plot ^_~. I'd still love to play now, but it's so much harder to get your 23 year old friends roused up for a game of cops and robbers than it was to get your 8 year old friends to do so. Oh well, maybe I'll have an eight year old themed birthday party next year - get a cartoon cake and play children's games razz .

Um... I think we're on a different page with the ninja thing. XD;; I'm thinking of ninja as in the magical, and insanely stealthy (to the point of being able to jump onto rooftops with no sound and no effort) form they're portrayed as in modern culture, the 'ninja' that was inspired by the shinobi mercenaries. You're thinking of the mercenaries themselves that ninja were derived from, the ones with the negative connotation that actually existed in history, and with believable human abilities, I believe. XD;; So yes, with the historical assassins and such from feudal Japan, I definitely agree that they would be more evenly matched to their other three opponents. With the more fictional beings that can walk on water and manipulate the elements and such that I was thinking of, I see them easily besting the others. That's what I was talking about when I said their 'full potential,' as in the potential they have commonly shown in modern culture. ^^;; Sorry for the confusion. And yeah, that does make sense that pirates would be far more likely to give natives diseases, but I'm just saying, what if? Like there's always a possibility of a strain of viruses coming from animals only in the Americas, a virus that natives have built up an immunity to by being around this animal (by say, using it for food or something), but that pirates have never encountered before. Guess I'm more like Jounouchi, always thinking more of the unlikely possibilities rather than the probabilities. XD It does sound fun, but I don't know if it's something I could enjoy too much, being someone who has asthma. Tag was definitely never my game... I could probably get my friends to play it though; we're all childish enough.

Well yea, I'm not thinking of the magical and what not, but yea I was thinking of the clan families. But yea, pretty much getting at that while skilled, not the magical defenders they come across to be in modern media. So yea, no element manipulation, just combative skills.
Haha, yea Jounouchi, way to go...^_~...I mean there isn't a lot of correlation between human and animal genetics, and pretty much the worst that's been out there seemed to hit the "modernized" world (just b/c of lack of sanitary conditions making it hard to resist and recover) - like the plagues. Although again that's blood related, I am not a scientist so I won't say for fact that any illness we could get from animals would not be something an immunity could naturally be built up to, especially by eating the bacterium - but it's just not likely. Like with the plague - you died or you didn't, but there was no active predisposition that could be taken to control the affect of the disease. Diseases aren't really discriminatory, generally you build up an immunity by suffering the disease - which would mean the natives suffered this illness themselves (suffered losses) and that's why they are now able to suffer it better. But again, their damn clean living just doesn't predispose them to many bacterium like that, and viral pathogens don't work that way.
I think the natives best bet would have been to concoct a poison, but they would probably go strongly against their beliefs (however white man was evil, they could have worked with it I think). Also, it's not something they'd jump to think of as their lifestyle just didn't call for such measures. But I think that's the most likely defense they could take to better their odds.
My friends are lazy, haha. Hmm...it has a hide and go seek element to it. I mean like I said, it has plot to an extent, it's not just straight running. If you started to feel winded you could take a donut break (hehe, as a cop) or just let yourself get arrested and let your gang know not to break you out for awhile (as a robber). But yea, that and capture the flag were by far my favorite children's games. I luckily don't have asthma though, so running was my friend.

Regardless of how unlikely such a situation is, it's always possible. You've got to beliiiieeeve, Kaiba! After all, if it's a fictional scenario of pirates invading native land for treasure, why not throw in some fictional diseases to make things more interesting? ^^ Poison would be fun too. >D I generally preferred games that I didn't always have to run for, like roleplaying that we were living in the wild and such. We would make food out of different 'ingredients' we found (like leaves and olives...), and then ride our 'horses' (scooters) around the 'fields' (streets). Twas fun.
