A soft sigh issued from his pink lips and his dark gaze lingered on the other for a moment before he closed his eyes and leaned forward slightly into the other's warm embrace.
"Kai... do you... mind... that I'm not royal?" he asked slowly, the pink rising in his cheeks. He felt so... unworthing for asking these questions. But he had lived so long with out any sustenance that he needed the justification to ease his mind. "I mean... aren't... aren't princes... supposed to only be with royalty?"

Kai gazed at him sadly. It was true, his family was incredibly strict about marriage, often resorting to incest in an attempt to retain their power and purify their bloodline. No-doubt his father would never allow the two of them to be together and although Kai had not yet been bethrothed to anyone, he was reaching an age where his family would choose a bride for him, most likely some cousin that he had never met before.
"I don't mind at all." he said and truly meant it "Your perfect, exactly the way you are." he sighed softly "My father, the king, on the other hand would take a much different stance."

He nodded slowly, his expression becoming much more somber. He knew it would be a problem... After all, of all the bloodlines the Death royalty were known best for their pride on "purity of blood."
But even as he was saddened by the prospect of being turned aside by his love's father, the small praise that slipped in nevertheless lightened his heart. A soft whisper of a smile lit up his lips as he slowly mouthed the words, "you're perfect."

Kai sighed and drew the smaller man closer to him. He wished it wasn't so but that was the truth.
"I'm very sorry." he said quietly, letting his fingers brush against the seamtress's rose coloured hair.

"It's not your fault..." he murmured, nuzzling his face gently into the crook of the other's neck. Right now all he wanted was to be close to the other - to his new and only love.
His pale, slender fingers curled lightly around the material of the other's shirt.

Kai smiled down at him and pulled him a little closer. Nomatter how close he was to the beautiful rose, it never seemed to be enough.
"I just wish it could be different. If only we didn't have such responsibilities." he whispered. It was a wonderful dream of course, but one that could never entirely come true.

Rosaline smiled sadly and nodded, his soft locks of loose, light hair falling gently down his back. "I wish... I wish I could be... royalty... or something... just so I could be yours..." he mumbled, a bit of a blush on his cheeks.
He leaned up and left a small, soft kiss on the other's jawline. "I just want to be with you... nothing else..." he whispered into the other's ear.

The young prince blushed at the other's words. No one had ever told him something like that before. Of course there were plenty young women in the royal court who shoed an interest, but their attention was merely for political gain and power and nothing to do with him personally. And of course his family kept him well protected from such people.
It was truly a new experience to feel cared for, not because he was a prince but only because he was himself. In fact, rosaline had seemed suprised, if not a little distressed when she had learned this fact.

After a few moments like that, he withdrew a little reluctantly. It was quite hard to stand of tip-toe for a long period of time and Rosaline wasn't anywhere near being considered tall - even if he really were a woman.
"So... uhm... Kai... tell... me about your self," he mumbled a little shyly, a bright flush on his cheeks. He wasn't at all used to talking to others - especially not to someone who made him feel all fluttery and happy and peaceful all at once.

Kai flushed red. He had never really talked about anything personal with anyone before, having always been wary of the people who called themselves his friends and suffering from the distance of his immediate family. He really didn't know where to begin.
"Well...I....er." he stammered nervously, "What would you like to know?"

"Eh? I..." He flushed brightly. What had he wanted to know? "I.. uhm... I don't know..." he mumbled, looking quite embarrassed with himself for that fact. "I just... want to know you better..." His face was a bright red by now and he kept his dark eyes averted towards the ground. He really did feel quite silly for not... not knowing.

Kai smiled and gave the beutiful man another squeeze.
"Well, I guess that's all right." he said. "There's not much to say really, I was born and raised in this castle. I've never really left this place unescorted. My father was always overly cautious with me, I'm afraid. Because my older brother killed and I'm the only son he has left to continue the family line and keep their magic intact. My magic is very weak though, I don't know why and no one can explain it. I think he resents me for it."

Rosaline nodded slowly, allowing hte information to sink in. "Well... I... I hardly have any magic in me," he replied, trying to justify the other's lack of magic. He didn't like it when Kai seemed so... down. And he looked that way now, as he talked of his father.
But it wasn't at all a good excuse. He was, and always would be, a rose. A rose's magic, when come to life, was more that of... of love and... and that sort of thing. He wasn't good for much else.
