There's something going on at the Mansion? :: wanders off to look ::
And yeah, I wanted to design shirts for the GSA soIve been working on gathering supplies. Grandmas been helping me experiment. I can make iron-ons, I work with clothing paint, Im trying out permanent markers to outlining, and Ive been using stencils. If I can work out some original designs on paper, Ill work on getting them onto shirts.
My grandmas always made some of my clothes so Ive picked up on sewing. Once I get better Ill be making cosplay costumes. For now, I just design and make shirts. Thought about working with knit shorts..

Pfft, designing shirts sucks.
You're talking to someone who screen prints them!
Which is not easy work, by the way
It's not just pushing a button and letting a machine do the work, contrary to popular belief. xp

Yeah? So wheres the originality in screen printing shirts? All those stupid 'Princess', 'I do what the voices in my head..' and crappy shirts come from button pushers and shirt starer-er people like you and those large companies. XP
Honestly, I have no idea what Im talking about when it comes to screen printing but I prefer designing and creating my own shirts. I like to wear my art and its more personal.
So your screen printing can suck my purple flavored popsicle!

XP Actually, those come from the people who design shirts- YOU. I just print what people tell me to. wink Aside from that, the "I listen to the voices in my head" etc shirts are screen printed. The princess ones with the glitter and such... I don't know what those are, but definetly not screen printed, that's for sure.

Oh believe me..I shall NEVER sell my ideas to a company for money. No, no, no..my creations are personal. I will only make shirts for friends, my GSA, and anyone I know online who wants one.
The evil company overlords shall not steal my creativity!

I haven't done silk screening in ages. It was damn fun though.
Hell, everyone will try to take away your creativity. People who buy your art, no matter what form, will expect it to please them. When you please them, people consider you to have "sold out," "gone mainstream," or desperate. When you don't give in, people can get annoyed or frustrated for not understanding it, even simply disliking it. That's when you get comments about how ugly or horrible it is, "too abstract for my taste," even to the extent of insulting it as "not being art."
There really is no way out. sad

Nusumi I wanna be a fairy princess crying Those are almost my exact words. eek My Grade 11 English teacher wanted us all to bring something we could trade with someone else in the class as a year-end sentimental gift, that we could share a story about. (She was a very special high school teacher; one that made us talk to inanimate objects.) I gave someone a pastel artist trading card of mine, and in return I got a glow-in-the dark wand. The story behind the wand was her mother bought it for her as a souvenir her first time going to Disneyland. So long as she had it she would "always be a fairy princess." When I was given it, our teacher told me that I could be a "fairy prince;" like I said, special. Now I hadn't slept studying for the exams the following week, and was feeling the need to be obnoxious in the class just once. So I retorted with: "Did it ever occur to you that I might want to be a fairy princess?!" She didn't know what to say to that. No one messes with me and my fairy princess wand. xd Edit: I know no one needed to read about that, but it sure sounds like a good idea at 4 in the morning, especially after a full pot of tea to myself. Joyous insomnia.

Nusumi Also I can't get used to JoVo as a female avatar x__x' JoVo can afford a second switch, without it really making a sizable dent, unlike us paupers. Personally, I'm still quite amused by it, just because so many of us know what is under that deceptive little avatar. *sigh* How I do miss the days of the Voltron of Scathing Intellectual Wit. *falls asleep on his sketchbook*

Gaia Online FAQ How do I get my avatar's gender/my username changed? - Within the profile/inventory page there is a link to access your personal options. There you can change your username or gender. Keep in mind that you are only allowed 2 gender changes, so be careful when messing around with this option. Again, my mistake. I seem to recall reading somewhere that only one gender change was allowed, and the second would require 10k. Maybe I'm just imagining things.
