The bear growled, looking almost ready to attack Ashral again but looked from Ree to Ashral then back again, taking one step back, then another. The bear seemed to hesitate, rocking back and forth in contemplation for a moment before turning back and leaving for the safe house.
Ashral whipped around again as he teleported behind her again and she ran ran for him, attacking the shield. She figured eventually it would give out and then he would be easy prey. It wasn't until he spoke of Shogu and his lover that she hesitated. "...no.. You're lying! You don't even know my brother!" she hissed and sliced at the shield again. The more he backed up, another step she took towards him to bridge the gap. She stopped completely as he mentioned her love for Shogu and a wave of pain and shock hit her face as she in fact took a step back. "..that's... I... how do you..." she appeared at a loss for words as she then suddenly gripped her sword with both hands, "..get out of my head... GET OUT OF MY HEAD RIGHT NOW!!!" she screamed, springing forth to try to hit the shield twice as fast, trying to break it with every bit of power she had.

"I am not in your head. I know because I was there. I told you to write that letter.. to meet him again at the tree. He set up a trap... before that you join SIU as Farrow. You hope to control your beserk mode.. no you said hyper focus. while I went to rescue my other sister. You wanted me to be your boyfriend... " he grimaced as the shield fell as he backed up. summoning an ethereal looking staff into his hands as he slammed it up to block her next hit. ((Soul Light) Pulling shadows he Shrouded(Shroud) the area and kept backing up. "I realized I still only considered you my sister... and I loved you in that way. So seeing you back.. makes me happy. Except... I can't let you keep rampaging..so please.. please stop" he said with a hint of pleading.

Her attacks didn't cease as he spoke, each hit only unraveling more of her stoic nature, careless attacks and she was beginning to look fairly distressed. "Then why don't I remember any of this? Why don't I remember you?!" she exclaimed, demanding an answer she didn't have, her mind tearing asunder but still her body moved, her sword swinging as though she never even began to doubt like it was becoming apparent she was doing.
When the shield came down, she slammed her sword against his staff and pushed with all her strength in contest. Her chest was hurting so much, his words burning her deep down, a feeling a familiarity. Her head hung slightly as she pushed harder, clenched teeth in anger. "I can't do that...." she slowly looked up to him, eyes full of tears as they broke through but her strength never wavered. "I can't do that.. because I can't stop... I don't know how..." she commented quietly, putting her head back down before taking a small step back and swinging at him with her sword again.

The sword hit the staff making a clear ping that echoes off the surfaces around them as cracks appeared in the sickly glowing weapon. More grew in a spiderweb pattern as she pushed against it and it started to crack. "I can't do that.. because I can't stop... I don't know how..."Some of the spiderwebs started healing up again but not fast enough to survive the next hit as he shifted his grip and deflected the sword down its length, pieces of light shattering and fading as he frowned with a flicker of surprise as he back backed up in the darkness. "Think..what is the thing you most cherish.. that you never want to see die or be destroyed? " he said quietly. " Close you eyes and picture it... of making yourself miss..drop your sword and go to it" he said quietly, re-summoning the staff this one with similar spider webbing. "If not ...I will have to stop you" he said painfully, prolonging it as much as he could even if he was risking his life...she stayed by him even when others had gone. He wanted to give her the most chance.

Her breathing was quickening, tears overwhelming her eyes, but her movements wouldn't stop, swinging at him again. "I don't know... I don't know, I really don't..." she muttered in a slight panic, taking in a shaky breath as she tried to remember the things he said, trying to remember what she wanted to protect.
She swallowed hard, trying to get herself to stop, the obvious struggle within her hesitation as she forced herself to close her eyes. She stood there, her hands shaking before finally dropping her sword. She took a step forward to hug him, breaking down crying. "...i don't understand..." she kept her eyes held shut tightly. "My heart knows what to do, even when my mind is telling me something different... why can't I stop it... what happened to me?"
She took a few steady breaths. "You should.. get away from me." she suggested quietly, pain deep in her voice. "...run away... i'm too dangerous.."

Ree grimace as the staff broke again and he slammed the sword away, backing away again as he let the shadows disappear since that seem to be doing nothing. Reaching out with his senses he prepared to bring her down when her movements slowed with an obvious struggle, he backed away again alert. "...." saying nothing he watched her, she seemed to be trying and he was to reluctant to take advantage of the opening. He waited silently, staring up to the moment she dropped her sword before he took a step forward as she did, returning the hug without worry that it could be as trap..it easily could. "I don't know... you were dead then..you were rampaging down the street" he said quietly, tightening his arms around her as he brought his wings forward too. Wanting to cry but knowing she wasn't truly back yet. "No. " he replied to her suggestion pulling his wings back as he tried to think. "You're hyper focused? ..how did you break out of it the last few times?" he asked quietly.

Ashral was trembling the moment he returned the hug, she was trying so hard to stop, and this was as close as she was getting and even then, she knew this was temporary. As he denied her request for him to get away from her, she snapped open her eyes in disbelief, the pain in her chest deepening. Her body was beginning to move again, hands trying to reach up in an attempt to choke him, but she closed her eyes again, trying to keep them shut, trying to breathe, just trying to get herself to stop.
"...I didn't... I mean, for some reason having you there with me... helped me focus away from it..." a sob hitched in her throat as she shakily forced her hands back down slowly, taking a breath. "...i'm... hyper focused on you..." she announced with regret and heartache. "I don't even know who you are... why..." she paused, a lump forming in her throat and her stomach churned. "...why do i want to kill you?..."

Ree blinked as his hope fell, he had thought she had remembered him ...no she did if her reaction was anything to go by. She remembered him but it was not something conscious. "I don't even know who you are... why...why do i want to kill you?..."He snapped his head up and took a step away from her, pain reflecting in his eyes as he stared. Tri....Hexxis. "s**t... Lena called you.... Damn it. Damnitdmanitmdanit" he said, his eyes wide as he ran his hand through his hair. It was recent though... even so she must have figured it out by accident in the prior days when playing dress up.... "Doll, forget any new commands given to you in the past 96 hours. Reinstate original commands. " he said quietly looking down at her.

Ashral grabbed at her head when Ree took a step from her. He was talking but she wasn't listening anymore. "Please stop. I can't stop, this what I was always supposed to do. No, isn't. It really is. Why can't I remember? I know why. I don't remember. She stole them, they both did. How? They hurt me. I don't understand. They want to see me do this. Why.. What did I do? It's his fault. Who? I don't blame him. He doesn't know. I don't know either. Please make this stop. I can't be saved anymore. No. It's true. Then what do I do? ......Just.. give up." she began to ramble in whispers to herself. Her mind in disarray from her conflicting body and heart.
Ree spoke again and she looked up at him with a pained look. She began to speak, her words further splitting into something of two personalities. One of them sounding desperate, scared. The other was calm, saddened. Both sounded in pain, as she continued to ramble to herself, dropping her head to mutter as though talking to herself. "There... aren't any new commands... there never were. That won't work like that. They changed that too. I don't understand. Why? Does is matter why? I know why. He knows why. Leave me alone, make it stop. I can't. Time is running out. I made a promise. It's still by my will. It still holds true. Then why am I still trying to hurt him? I can't stop. But I knew it would never work like that. I have conflicted feelings. Then what do I do? I keep trying until I give up slowly. He doesn't know how to stop me and I don't know how to control it. No. NO. I can't let it happen like this! It's what they want. To see me be the one to kill him. Why?! Why me?! Because I love him and he cares about me. It's meant to hurt him. And it's working. If I cant stop... He will kill me. Either way they win." Ashral paused, staring at Ree, her cheeks wet with tears as she slowly looked to the ground in defeat. "...the original commands are instated." she commented quietly with a frown and took a step forward to hug him, a feign, forming a dagger made of shadows into her left hand and stabbed at his side. She said nothing as she kept her head down, not responding anymore.

Ree stared at her on confusion, reaching up to grab the necklace he looked for any spirits near her. Staring he tried to make sense f what she was saying, slowly getting the twinge of familiarity // us... //. Blinking he focused as if each part was one complete different person and frowned because even then it di- //the whole?// His gaze soften slightly as she looked at him but then one part went silent... no..it stayed in her head where he couldn't understand. He felt sick, not understanding but understanding enough. He knew, he knew the moment she stepped toward him that something will happen, yet he let it happen. Returning the hug just as she plunged the dagger into his side. He made a small sound of pain and didn't let go, it was sad that was so much less painful than he was expecting physically but so much more painful emotionally. "I'm sorry" he said quietly not understanding as he tightened his hold and sent healing energy into her, snapping the nerves of her arms and legs if he could as his own blood dripped down the shadow dagger. (("Healing" lvl 7)

Ashral hesitated as the dagger plunged into his side, and his arms wrapped around her. It felt comforting but only hurt more knowing that he let her do it. She heard him apologize and a slight gasp escaped her lips, feeling his grip tighten and her body reflexively stuggled in panic. Pain suddenly shot through her body and her legs and arms went numb, lost feeling, lost function as the shadow dagger disappeared and she screamed in pain.
Her arms fell to her sides, and her entire body dead weighted from being unable to stand any longer. She clenched her teeth bearing the quick pain before it subsided and there was no feeling at all. She buried her face to his chest, not able to do anything else but sob quietly.
"I forgive you.." she whispered between sobs as she lay there in his arms.

Holding her up he slowly lowered himself to a cross legged position, tears falling down his cheek at her word feeling she will soon take that back. Sending a bit of healing to his own side he healed it up to the point it wasn't bleeding uncontrollably. Lowering his head he kissed the top of hers then pulled back, hugging her against him as he silently cried along with her. Taking a shaky breath he finally moved on with the rest, summoning both his artifacts he used them and focused on Ashral. Breaking and healing one foot and the leg near the knee and healing both again in a way that would make her limp. He then broke and healed her fingers so she wouldn't be able to hold a sword . Finally his power hovered over the places he originally broke but hesitated then pull away. "I said I would stop you." he said quietly, reaching up with one hand to brush her hair. " You don't want to die.. I don't want to see you die and you don't really seem to want to kill me." he said pained, looking down at her. " I don't know why you are back nor why you want to kill me or if someone told you to kill me. I likely deserve it...I am so sorry I brought you here and for... everything" he said with a hint of frustration, wanting to do more.. knowing he likely couldn't.

Ashral's body could only comply to being lowered to the ground, a pained look on her face to see him crying over her. A similar feeling, always this feeling. Being held, watching him cry, and her being able to do nothing. Her face was red with tears, uncontrollable and her crying wouldn't stop.
She gave a small whimper as he kissed her head and hugged her. At least she could feel the warmth of his body against her.
If her nerves hadn't been severed, she might have felt the excruciating pain of broken bones. But she could hear it, she could see it. Wincing only out of reflex of the sight of it, before dying down. She was trying to control her breathing and then looked to him when he stopped.
"I don't know. I remember voices. A man suggesting to lock my soul away. A woman talking about my memories. He said that I should hate you. She wanted me to kill you. She changed my mind. Stole my memories. Stole my will. How do I even stop...." she explained through a raspy voice. "I don't blame you... for anything." she tried to force a smile, but it quickly faded to crying again. "This might have been my fault. I don't think I wanted to let them hurt you... I feel like I fought against it. Like I made a promise I wouldn't hurt you... you..." she paused, frowning. "...my brother..." she finally answered. "..and they knew that."
"...I..don't want to fight you.. even if my mind keeps telling me to..." she whispered. "It's the same... my memories are cloudy... but I am remembering... I remember this feeling for only one person before. Not you. I was never meant to feel that way for you..." she frowned again, clenching her teeth. "..just the over whelming feeling of ripping you apart... to drink your blood from wounds I-...Ahhh!!" she yelled out in frustration, shaking her head like she was trying to move.
"Focus.. Stop, stop talking. Remember why I fight. Leave me alone! I swore I'd never give up. Can't stop fighting. Help me. Stop! Help us. No. What stopped me before. ..even like this. Why? I have to kill him. I swore my blade would never hurt him. I never lied." Her voice died down slightly, starting to panic as she muttered, making distressed noises. "Why cant I remember.. ..why can't I forget.."

Looking down at her when he finished he looked as if he was hurting instead of her. "I won't kill you... not if there are other options." he said shakly. " You...you told me a long time ago that you wanted to learn to control it. You can't do that dead... " he said steadying his voice finally as he looked around then back to her as she continued to talk, paying absolute attention to what she was saying even if he didn't completely understand. "A man?" he said quietly as he looked down at Ashral sadly, his own eyes red from crying more easily seen since the glow was so dim. Silently he leaned forward to picked her up, holding her very gently as he started walking toward the estate. He hoped Vida or one of the others would head back this way now that there was no sound of fighting and help those who needed it. " From when you remember.. I assume is before you died. You died at some point and your spirit possessing the body of a young meta girl, Hexxis, in the year (date) who was owned by a research center. People thought ..think you were an evil spirit and as they brain washed the young girl they brained wash you to to answer to some commands." he said taking a deep breath and letting it out. " One of those commands was similar to hers, to hunt down and kill a certain target. At least we assumed it was since you told me you didn't know why you wanted to kill him, but it was in the same way of ripping out his heart and drinking his blood. " he continued with a quiet sigh. "We assumed it was one of the commands that was ingrained into you. At some point you and I made a deal, that I let you out and you wouldn't attack anyone... it was moot some days later when things went to he**. You and the girl escaped the base and we meet up and just talked...mostly me and you. " he said quietly. "You told me a little of your life...I told you that I wouldn't mind having both of you as my sister...""At some point the girl ran away because she was jealous and you separated from her." there was a flicker of anger. " I looked for you and found you nearly dead in your old home..the one near the Tree. " he said moving into one of the alley ways and walking, trying to keep away from the people, even if he had suggested Vina tell them to go deeper into the city it was backfiring now on him. "You were attacked by some collector who was looking for the girl. I healed you and we talked... you didn't want to remember what happened in that home so we left. At some point you told me you found the letter from your brother...your real one, at the Tree. It said he was alive again and he wanted to talk to you if you were alive as well." he said taking a shaky breath as he licked his lips and stopped at the other end of the alleyway as he looked around. "I think you were nervous and didn't reply. So we wandered around that area.. as some point I needed to go help rescue the girl you used to possess and suggested you join the organization I used to be a part of since they might help you learn control while I was gone Before that we had decided to leave a note for your brother ...and I would try to get back before the meeting and we tried to see if we could be boyfriend and girlfriend. I arrived back just as you meet up with him. He mentioned his lover who wanted to put your soul into a sword...the lover was also there..Oblivion? he stabbed you both and tried to take all three souls. You died right away the other one unfortunately didn't. Seem he was using the girl's boyfriend as a host... " he took a deep breath and just stayed there looking down at her even when the coast was clear. "You died... your spirit followed me within those three days. At some point I was given some letter by some guy in the meta Sanctuary and decided to try one of the options..which ended with us on this island. I do not know how it happened or what they did but they brought you back to life, in the body of a dead magi that eventually turned into a vampire, as the spirit of a Shadow. My own memory is hazy from that point.. you were always in pain until somehow your spirit attached to the body and changed it to a hybrid of both. You even survived the death of the noble on your own power or by being stable already. I kept trying to escape... I never noticed that Lena was always dressing you up as a doll..that she might have accidentally found out about one of your commands. My sense of time during that is pretty bad..." he said looking away from her. "Eventually I rampaged into some of the guards.... convinced your friend, Giselle, the one who was helping you while I was panicking, to help me. We killed the guards and escaped." "Two days ago... we were both hiding from Lena, the dead noble's daughter, who went into power after her mother was killed. I told Vina how her sister was turned into a vampire and ...died... I killed her. I was surprised and she was in pain, she was a human magi before" there was a pause as he frowned realizing that Rina was never mentioned by the others, how did she fit in? "and she decided to go after Lena. I asked you to keep the others safe and went after her. We were planning a trap but it turned into a trap for us" he grimaced slightly as he just started to outline what happened to Ashral from the last time he saw her to now. Trying to fill her in... trying to nudge at her memories. "Once we were able to get free and head back to the others, we were told that you have been taken along with Lena's other sister after fighting bravely in defense of the others." his wings lowered. "We told the other to move locations as we went after you, the sister and the other archangel who was captured trying to rescue both of you. "his voice going cold as he spoke, trying to keep on talking even as his grip tighten slightly. "We were ambushed again. The archangel was nearly dead with two grenades surrounded by 5 guards. Lena was controlling her guards and offered us a choice. I kill Vina... a magi who was her hidden sister and go rescue you before she tortured you or that Vina kill me and save the person she cared for before he died. I..." he stopped both talking and walking and looked at her eye to eye. "I believed in you... so I tried to help rescue the archangel. He lived.. Vina lived, the grenades exploded and I was hit, the rest of the guards were killed though. I told Vina to raise the towns people....and passed out. " he said looking guilty and angry at himself as he he said it. " I was never going to abandon you there, I was going to head right to you before she did anything... that was my plan. I woke up the next day and it seemed that Vina had taken the town people directly to fight Lena..so I doubt she had much time for anything else. " his voice was shaky again, feeling guilt as not choosing her but also knowing why he did the other..if he had only not passed out. "When I arrived everyone was looking for you. You were in a hidden lab...I arrived around the time they were searching the area above. When I phased down I saw you within a glass container full of some water with a million other souls except you were still alive. I tried to get you out but you passed out before I broke the glass all the way. I tried to give you CPR but... your soul... you " he swallowed as tears threaten again, even if he was holding her alive in his arms. "You were dead, we watched your spirit fade away completely....again. " he went silent as he looked at her, flickers of light seem to almost make her glow to his eyes. "Then you appear the next day...today rampaging down the street with no memories." Now he went completely quiet as he walked, moving out of the edge of the city and took wing, flying toward the burnt ruins of the shrine, landing a bit later and being quiet through the trip. She gave him information and he would try to do something with it..something instead of feeling so helpless as he did right now. "You always had a strong soul..and a strong will. Memories even fragmented are the foundation for your will. Everyone wants your soul as if they had any right to it at all ..as if they could just take and trap what they want without care that that used to be another living being with memories and personality and sacred within itself. " he stared down as he landed. " The girl... Hexxis always compared herself to a weapon..a tool. You were never that... even broken and manipulated you fought against anyone's control..against any set path that wasn't your own. Know that..." he said quietly. "I can only assume the women was Lena..as for the man.. I have no idea who that could be.... but if I have to hunt him down until I figure out what happened to you I will..." it wasn't like he had anything else to do and even if he did. "You can't stop wanting to kill me... then after this we will see if leaving you alone will help you calm down. If you do..which I think it will.. you were their trap. It doesn't explain how you are back though..unless this man had something to do with it" which made no sense, there were million of opportunities to kill him, why go the round-about way that only have a small chance of working?

Ashral's muttering died down to inaudible whisper of incoherent words. Her eyes drifted to look at him as he spoke, her words becoming quiet now.
"It was dark. His voice was calm. Reassuring. She was angry. He reassured her. I hate them both." she muttered.
He began to talk of her life, and she focused on his voice, staring at him, slowly appearing calm as she tried to remember all he spoke of. Gradually, pieces of information filled in gaps. Things she remembered and others she didn't. "I remember dying... fighting on the battlefield of war and the destruction that I once caused. I heard the voices in the darkness. How they would send me back. Because of someone. Because of you..." she responded quietly.
She listened to every word as he spoke, trying to understand the life she had forgotten. In her mind, feeling an odd sense of familiarity to everything he said. Like deja vu in these moments she knew she had experienced before. There were flickers of pain as he explained the events that caused her death before at the tree. "..xinyii.." she muttered softly. Then moving into her time here on this island, she clung to the word vampire. "...I...still am.." opening her mouth a bit to bear fangs before closing her mouth again.
He spoke of a choice that he made, the decision to stay and help an archangel rather than go to save her which apparently lead to her death after he arrived only seconds too late. His words, the fact that he believes in her, filled her with warmth, something that seemed to stabilize her soul for some time before returning to the fluctuation it had been in before. "I don't feel like you would abandon me. In fact, I feel deep down like you would always come for me.. as I would for you."
Her face softened, "I.. I remember seeing you... Calling to you but I couldn't breathe. I..I told you..." she paused, "..I would never give up.. before everything went black." There were tears in her eyes again, a sob hitching in her throat.
"I woke up and didn't remember anything... Only that I had to kill."
She listened to him speak of her soul and her will. How everyone wanted her soul. She nodded slowly as he assured her that she always fought against any control to be herself. "She said that I would always fight to get back to you. That's why she could not separate us. She knew I would fight, that I would never give up."
Ashral paused, not even following where they had been going, only focused on his face. "..don't leave me..." she forced out suddenly then frowned, realizing the difficulty in what she was asking. "...How did I stop before? You said I made a deal..and I stopped attacking people." she narrowed her eyes with a hint of desperation. "what if you made a deal with me.. maybe that's part of the brain washing" she thought on it but couldn't figure out how she did it before. Even now, she was still resisting even if she had no way to attack him anymore.
