He..had trouble figuring out his feelings on the matter. He wasn't sure he was in love with her...but, he damn well didn't want to lose her.

The boy wasn't entirely sure himself...Though...as the girl asked the question, he scrambled for an answer..conjuring his demons to handle the horde outside.
"W..well, when we go through as much s**t together as we do.." he started, starting to admire the upholstery. "Killing...Demon slaying...Troittown shifts...Customer service...And...Saving one another.."
He wasn't red, was he? He wasn't turning red, was he? Dammit, he could feel it..he was..
"A..And a kiss.." he stammered, slamming his eyes shut. "Look! I kinda..sorta..Just feel at ease around ya, okay? You're...nice, and sweet, and kinda cute...but...I mean..Aghhhh..!"

Youmu Konpaku, and AliceThe girl..certainly hadn't been expecting that.
She looked up at the boy as he struggled against making eye contact...Started to ramble on, blush...and even make annoyed, frustrated noises that had no real deeper meaning.
'Ah....So he's...like me..' she thought with a blush of her own, her gaze glancing on the other side. 'A bit..awkward...and a bit nervous..But..'
The girl hesitated for a few moments..Thinking of the others. What would they say? What would they tell her to do?
She couldn't tell...She had no idea how they'd react to this kind of situation...And, to be honest.she wasn't sure what the proper way was either.
So instead, she merely walked over to Nekura's side, and wrapped her arms around him....Resting her head on his chest.
"It's okay...Nekura.." she called quietly, letting tears run down her face...Even though she was smiling ear to ear. "I'm..all confused and awkward too..."
She couldn't find the right words...She couldn't comfort the boy..she couldn't give him an answer any more than he could her...But, as she laid on his shoulder, she could do this much..
She could assure him he wasn't alone....And that he had someone that cared about him...So very, very much...

And, apologizing twice more. Once for apologizing so much, and once just...in general. His hand found the top of the girl's head wordlessly, as he lightly rubbed it....A small smile coming across his flushed face.
"Fine....It's fine..' he called, letting a smile eke out for the first time in a while. They didn't know what they were doing..And they didn't know what was going to happen...

'It's fine....It's fine..'
She could feel tears running down her face....She was buried in the boy's outfit, and she could tell he had been through just as much as she had. Several tough encounters...Many bloody battles....And more than enough sunlight to kill any vampire in any folklore...
It wasn't a pleasant scent to have..Yet, as she squeezed him tighter, and burrowed into him...She still drank it in. Every bit of the boy's essence...
Even as she continued sobbing into his shirt happily, she could feel her body warming up....Happiness flooding from the inside of her outward. Just being next to him was helping her feel at ease....And, for the first time in what felt like a very long time...
She felt..safe.
"Nekura...I...." she started, blushing. "L..L....Lo...I'd..love...it if you took a shower."
She wasn't quite strong enough to say it outright...But, the way she clung to him...The way she cried into his shoulder....

He couldn't help but feel warm inside. The girl eventually mustered up the energy to say something to him...The boy waiting for her to say those magic words....Blushing anew......As she lightly insulted him.
