That Crumpet Dude I mean come on, imagine calling crisps chips, chips fries, trousers pants, and pants... well, whatever the hell you call pants. Underwear? Bish bash bosh. You call your underwear "pants"? Weird. And we have "crisps", but only for fake potato chips made with dehydrated potatoes (like Pringles). And yeah, our chips are called french fries. So I guess that means I'm enjoying french cuisine every time I pop into McDonalds or Burger King... The English may have invented the language, but we made it better. Booyah! Torchwood So we're using guild members instead of Doctors.. Because? Because we're still testing the new rules, and I thought it would be quicker to do it with 4 choices instead of 10. Plus, I wanted a chance to kill off Roobarb, but certain people insist on denying me that simple pleasure. Pirpi-chan 26 (+3) Roobarb 8 (-4)

We don't generally call underwear pants we have 'underpants' which is slightly more specific.
You guys have funny ways of saying things too, even when you manage to spell them right. Like TO-MAY-TO instead of TO-MAR-TO (i.e. tomato) and stuff like that.
That said, just try strolling round Britain and picking up all the mangled versions of English round there. Then there's Scotland and Ireland and Wales with all the different dialects. And Gaelic! I mean come on, someone just made that one up I'm sure. It's not a real language. Though they have really funny kids programs.
BTW I don't know why I just rolled the dice... It was instinctive or something...
Actually Gaelic reminds me of the Red Dwarf episode where they all talk backwards...

Yeah, we call them periods. We also call "that time of the month" periods as well.
Is it true you folks refer to pencil erasers as "rubbers"? One of my teachers told me that, but he's not from the UK, so he could have been making it up. In America, a rubber is slang for a condom...

Next time you decide to commit hara-kiri (hmm... sounds sort of like Hello Kitty...), please at least allow me the pleasure of being the guy that cuts your head of while you disembowel yourself. Uh, I guess I'll start the real game tomorrow. Probably in a new thread so that I can put the rules up in the first post. Unless one of the other mods wants to do it first. Just, uh, make sure whatever rules you make up actually work...

I'll set up the new thread - if you gimme a day to think over it and gather up all the rules and stuff.
I'm afraid my internet is running INCREDIBLY slowly (mostly due to me breaking the download limit.... again) but I would like to set it up.
Hmm... I could maybe sell support banners for each of the Doctors too....

Couple of questions:
*Are you wanting to allow people to split their scores? (i.e. If they roll a 2 can they give 1 point to two seperate Doctors?) *I'm assuming that we're sticking with the first roll is what you subtract and the second is what you add. Is this ok? *Can people not use one score? (i.e. they roll a 5,3 but decide to ONLY add 3 without subtracting 5 from anyone)

Is this ok? *Can people not use one score? (i.e. they roll a 5,3 but decide to ONLY add 3 without subtracting 5 from anyone) Whatever you prefer works for me. If you're asking for opinions, then... 1) I think we should use d4 instead of d6. A smaller die has the virtue of making the game less random. Otherwise, bump the starting points up to 30. 2) Don't allow splitting of scores. This prevents someone from killing off multiple Doctors on the same turn. 3) I prefer to have the higher roll be hurt and lower be heal. It was taking forever to end the contest between you and Pirpi-chan, since whenever the scores got too low their supporters switched to heal mode and prolonged the agony. Though designating the first roll always be the hurt roll would also work, I think. 4) Not using a score... yeah, I don't see any problem with that. If it came down to a choice between Colin Baker and Patrick Troughton, I doubt I'd want to heal either... razz 5) isidar has to make a new tombstone whenever a Doctor is killed off.

Nope. Not going to work. I can't do tombstones. Unless you believe this game will be over in a week's time. Or someone is willing to provide me with a laptop and internet provider in China. Personally, I would prefer the latter..

You're going to China? eek Nooo! You can't start splitting up the CBDB just before a match or Tennant might win...
Not that China isn't lovely. But what will we do without you?
As for the rules suggestions I'll go with most of the suggestions but I'm almost tempted to make people use ALL their scores, just simply cos it adds to the strategy side. If people don't want to heal anyone they'll have to use their healing points in a way that doesn't make any major effect or waste them on someone about to die. Or something. Anyway, it makes it easier for us to keep track of where the scores should be.
One odd notion: I know we haven't had this before, and I can't really think of any reason why anyone would want to do it, but are we allowing people to use both their + and - scores on the same person?
