Now that they were both settled in, Luca and Sylva moved deeper into the cave to train. The swordswoman made sure the space between them wasn't exceptionally great, at least keeping the redhead within the corners of her vision as they spread out. Priscilla followed right along, moving ahead of her trainer with her scythe poised and at the ready. When a Sandshrew suddenly popped up from the ground however, her focus broke, and the Gardevoir shrieked in terror before swinging the long metal pole wide. A flash of green sent sharp blades of grass flying, made of nothing but energy before impacting the small pokemon. The ground-type went down without a fuss, too startled by the psychic's scream to really do any thing.

The next opponent that appeared before them was a simple Geodude. The sentient ball of stone with arms tumbled out of a small crevice in the walls, lying dazed on the floor for a moment before it took the time to collect itself. Eventually, the rock-type shook itself off and turned to face the trainer in front of it, only to be met with a pair of rotating discs splashing across its face. Once again, down without as much as a threat.

After beating down a handful of dumb bats, lumpy rocks, and tragically-placed armadillos, Luca suddenly ran into something a little on the squishier side: A Clefairy. The pink puffball looked like a living plushie, but that didn't make it any less prone to violence, as it rushed them down as soon as they came into view. It powered through a Moonblast from Priscilla, getting in close enough to Pound her from below. But as soon as the Gardevoir retaliated, the little fairy-type was done, blasted at point-blank into the dirt until it passed out.

When there was a small break in between the battles, Luca took the time to use one of the TMs she'd picked up. It was a light-pink disk, almost like a DVD if it weren't for the thick, black rim of plastic that covered its edges. The young woman gave the item to her Gardevoir, who absorbed the information held within, learning the move written on it before it dissolved into dust. The process couldn't have completed at a better time either, as another Zubat came screeching down at them, poised to attack. Immediately, it was repelled by Priscilla's new Psychic.

After turning a small corner, the next pokemon Luca ran into was a Paras, scurrying around on the floor trying to sneak by undetected. Unfortunately, it didn't succeed, the little bug-type freezing in place as she threw out her Dragonite. Seath cast a shadow over the creature, hovering over it intimidatingly, before bringing a burning fist down onto the wild pokemon. Needless to say, it went down without much fuss, making for another quick fight.
