"Uhm, done here." unlike the fairy tales he knew some mortals still told their kids, there was no such thing as pixie dust or even frivilous words when it came to blessing a kid. All he needed was contact with the girl.

Jay nodded his thanks as he took the child from Daoin's capable hands and placed Illiana back in her mothers arms. A smile came over his face once again as he saw her daughter. It was going to be the beginning of a great life for her.

Pale thanked Daoin and watched as he left. After it was done, she held her hands out for Illiana. "Jay, come to bed, I'm so tired." she felt like going to sleep, but Jay must have been tired as well. Even though he hadn't gone through anything, it must have been awhile since he got some sleep.

Jay nodded once more as he slid in next to Pale and gave an ecxhausted yawn. He hadn't been through much physical strain, but the mental strain he'd been put through was enough to make him almost as exhausted as Pale. He kissed Pale on the cheek and smiled, saying "Well...we did it"

"What were the chances?" she smiled sarcastically, then drifted off gently to sleep. Two days of bedrest. Could she take it? Rayne and Jay would need to be in charge until then, although hopefully they wouldn't need to run into eachother.

Jay fell asleep for only an hour. He awoke the next day to see Pale and Illiana sleeping. A smile swept his face as he arose and put on a shirt and his cloak, giving a sigh. His first day as a father.

Illiana had woke her up sporadicaly throughout the night. Pale woke up a hour after Jay, and was pleased to see that Illiana was finally peacefully asleep. "Jay," she called softly "Help me put her to bed, will you?'

Jay would say "All right" as he took Illiana for Pale and then eased her down gently into her crib, placing a soft blanket over her to keep her from any chill that would come. He would watch her sleep for a few seconds, then return to his wife and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Good morning"

"Good morning," she yawned and tried to get comfortable between the sheets. Aes had given her one more day of bedrest. What a drag. "The new member, Quintilius, is interested in dueling with you, for reasons unknown." she said, thinking about the strange note she had gotten.

A duel is a serious matter" Jay said softly as he lie back in bed and gave a yawn. "But I'll go to him this afternoon and ask him why" He said as he rubbed his eyes and then said "Wonder why he wants to duel me, of all people?"

"Like I said, I have no idea. I don't think it'll be anything to the death, so no cause for much worry." she turned on her side so she could face him, and took his hand "But we have some time until the afternoon."

"That we do" He said with a smirk as he leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on her lips, then wrapped his arms around her waist in a gentle hug.

Rivven stopped at the door again, looking at it a long time before knocking. He didn't know how people inside the large building could be sure to hear someone at the front from wherever they were. He hoped he hadn't come too soon... not long ago, three nights exactly, Morgan had told him she had sensed the child being born, and he didn't know if three days was enough for a pregnant woman to rest to health, or for the baby to be ready for strangers in the house. Of course, he didn't know about the complications either. Well... I'll just make this as brief as I can. He knocked three times firmly at the door, and waited for some sort of answer. If they needed to just yell to him to let himself in or leave, he could do that but he didn't want to be rude if he could help it.

Kasai appeared in a yellow flash leaning against a wall of the castle. He chuckled to himself thinking of how Pale and Jay would react. "Ah, how I missed this place.." Kasai's gaze led up to the night sky above him, the stars twinkling as a smile started curving on Kasai's rosy lips.

"Come in," Pale called. Jay had left for the fight he had with Quin. She'd spent the better part of the day with Illiana in her arms. The visitor would have to come and see her, she was too weak to walk down to him.
