Nojha stared as a figment literally drifted right into Arl's hand.
"Just, ah, just give me a moment, please." he said, and took a moment to try and massage the frustration from his temples. He could do this. He could! Clapping didn't work well, coaxing wasn't his thing either. What else could he do?
"Okay."
Nojha wrapped his hand with the bit of tattered robe, and attempted to sneak up on a fragment with his hand disguised.
Somehow, it worked.

She watched some others, frustrated with their abilities at collecting these fragments. Ajexil plucked another one with complete calm. She was bombarded with a moment of color and light, it shocked her and made the shade gasp and wobble on her feet.

[Wyng enters the spire] Wyng entered the spire again, contentedly humming to herself. That was two battles now that she had been on the winning side. If things continued like this, then finding more of the small objects might be easier. Thinking about those objects again, she held her newest one up to look at. It was definitely the sort of thing you'd expect a monster to have.

"Todesmarch!"
Another flash of warmth, another brief intrusion into his mind. Nojha almost had the number he needed. He smiled at Arl as he held his fourth fragment aloft, and then tucked it with the others. Hand still swathed in fabric, he tried for the last fragment he needed.
And it landed in his hand with a quick sigh of
"cursed"
in his mind.
He stored it gently with the others, and pointed toward the shrine.
"Thank you for vaiting for me. Let's go turn these in, ja?"

The more eager she was the harder it seemed to catch them. The little shade seemed to get a bit annoyed.

Or it had just been a case of bad luck, which he didn't feel he minded as he snatched his last orb needed for the task.
An unknown language came at him again, at least nothing that sounded like this basic tongue they spoke in. A simple single word, part of him thought it a name but he couldn't say for sure.
But he was done, and he headed for the Shrine.

There were fluffballs in the fragments? Chaesel tapped one, curious.
Instead of a sight, she received a sound. A familiar jingle, one that- had she been elsewhere- everyone would know.
It unsettled her on a deeply traumatic level. "I don't think I like these."
