Krin:
When you arrive where the others are at, you find a multitude of students firing off spells at the various targets set up at the other end of the firing range like area. There are a couple stations open a bit to the right of Neeché and Mystra, but the one directly to their right is taken by another one of the students (Valden.) The stations are set up with 6 special stones that have intricate patterns etched into them. The stones are colored in correspondence with the 6 colors of mana.

Valden:
You are able to form the orbs of darkness with relative ease, but as you make more, you find it harder and harder to maintain your focus. By the time you have created 12 of the orbs, you find yourself straining to simply keep them manifested, let alone manipulate them in any way.

Once I reach the count of 12 small balls of mana, I try to combine them together into one ball of the same size, compacting the mana into a smaller space. If I cannot get them to combine at all, I will start letting them dissipate one by one until I can, and if I cannot compact them I will just let them form into one larger sphere. After I manage to get enough attention back to focus on my surroundings, I will glance Krin's way again, wanting to make sure my mana is under control before I start to talk to him.

he smiled and took the stone into only one hand opening his other, and trying to focus the mana at his open hands finger tips, attempting to make absorb enough mana to make them sharp looking ones.

"There's only one obvious thing to do with light..." Mystra says. She faces the targets and begins charging up light energy until it begins to feel like it's reached it's capacity or it starts feeling unstable.

Krin:
The mana flows out of the stone easily and settles around the tips of your fingers. Getting the precise details takes a bit of effort, but you are able to form the mana into claws without issue. You also notice the person next to you trying to talk to you.

Valden:
You notice the sphere of mana stabilize a bit even though you weren't focusing on it. Perhaps some aspect of your subconscious is capable of maintaining the mana, so you might not need to avert your conscious focus anymore towards it.

Mystra:
It takes quite a while for you to gather a large amount of the white mana, but it seems you have amassed a very large quantity, though you don't really have any good reference points to know what truly counts as "a large quantity." The mana forms into a rough sphere, but its shape keeps fluctuating as you are having trouble manipulating such a large amount.

Neeché:
You are able to gather up the red mana extremely quickly compared to Mystra's efforts. You are also able to gather up a very large amount without the sphere of mana even feeling unstable. You instead end up having to stop because the mana is starting to produce a significant amount of heat, almost to the point of being too hot to hold.

I raise an eyebrow as the mana stabilizes without my conscious effort. That is extremely interesting. "Why would you try to help her?" I ask Krin, slightly confused at this. After all, she was competition, and where I come from, helping your competition was a one way ticket to total failure. Her being female already gave her an advantage as it was. I try to both slowly reduce my concentration on the sphere in front of me while still keeping watch on it, to see just how far this subconscious ability I appeared to have went.

Krin:
The claws move along with your hand, as if they were solidly attached. Though to you, it feels like the mana is just hovering in the air around your fingers.

Valden:
Even when you stop focusing on the mana, it remains in a sphere, as if it will remain this way indefinitely until you consciously will it to do something else.

Neeché:
Despite its significantly larger size, you don't find it any harder to direct this fireball than the smaller ones you were firing before. The ball flies at the same speed as the smaller ones and hits a target downrange, completely engulfing it in flames. The target burns brightly for a few seconds before turning into a smoking pile of ash.
