“How do you know that, I could accidentaly break it.” Bruce mumbled staring at the reactor rather than tony’s face. He didn’t want to break it, that was why he wanted to learn more about it. The more he learned about how it worked the less likely he was to screw it up on accident.
"I'd fully trust you or the big guy with it," Tony said with a wink, giving his partner a quick peck on the lips as the elevator opened up into the lab. The innovator took a deep breath, extending both hands out as he walked in, reveling in being back. "Been way too long since I was here!"

Bruce smiled, “Tony, its been like, a day, two tops.” he said internally laughing at his boyfriends addiction to his laboratory. Bruce walked to the corner and pulled the geeky lab coat that tony repeatedly told him he didnt need off of its hanger.
"Right, so like I said, /too/ long," the engineer grinned. His grin changed to an endeared smile when Bruce donned his lab coat-- even though he didn't need it most of the time, there was no disputing how adorable he looked in it. Tony proceeded over to his workbench, picking up the converter he'd be mentioning-- unlike most power converters, this one wasn't cubical, but taurus-shaped.

Bruce just stared at the mass of electronic stuff feeling completley out of his element. “so, i know i am supposed to be smart here, But what exactly is that?” he asked confused.
"Power converter, like I said," Tony smiled, beckoning the other scientist closer. He pulled the casing off to get at the inner parts. "As you know, my reactor is nuclear-- activated Vibranium-- got a lot of juice," he began to explain, "but the converter collects the fission thermal energy and extracts it through coolant systems..." he waved his hand about, as if it were all very simple, knowing Bruce would be falling along.

Bruce nodded, it was simple enough to understand. what he didnt get was what they were supposed to do to it. He didnt understand the engineering of it.
"Point is," Tony paused, drawing his leg up to cross it over his knee, "The energy is split between five separate circuits..." He pointed to them, positioned on the outside of the ring. "Two to my posterior thrusters," he wriggled his feet, "two to my anterior," he wriggled his fingers, "and one up to my helmet. See?" He smiled, very much enjoying this discussion.

Bruce just stood there in awe, “you know i dont think the word genius does you justice.” he muttered pressing his lips against tony’s, pulling his face close with his fingers burried in his hair.
Tony hadn't been expecting the kiss and momentarily his feelings soared, hair lifting on the back of his neck in excitement. "That is going to be /incredibly/ distracting," he laughed, licking his lips and tasting Bruce on them.

Bruce laughed, tony didnt even want to know how distracting he intended to be. He was determined to give tony his ‘turn’ as he had put it this morning, and he was determined to do it in this lab. ” you have no idea ” bruce said smirking, he was going to ******** tony over a lab bench if it was the last thing he did.
The innovator searched his lover's eyes impishly. "I feel like you have plans..." he chuckled, shifting how he was sitting on his stool, allowing his legs to part. Perhaps subconsciously he was tempting the other scientist to go on.

Bruce smiled mischievously, “maybe i do..” he taunted slipping between tony’s legs and kissing him again.
"Mmm..." he murmured, kissing him back appreciatively. "So no power converter then?" he asked, rubbing his leg up the outside of Bruce's leg.

“right, power converter” Bruce said pulling away “if thats what you really want.” he said walking over to the converter and looking at it intensely.
"W-well, it's not the /only/ thing I want," Tony said, lapping at his lips. He coughed into his hand and studied the piece of hardware as well, trying to gather his wits again. "You see, the most efficient way to conserve and utilize the energy is to ensure that it is spread into five precisely equal parts, going through each circuit..." he trailed off a bit.

“very interesting,” he said smiling “do go on,” he encouraged wrapping his arms around tony from behind, “I want to know everything.”
He purred at the feel of Bruce's arms around him and his front at his back. It gave him a sense of serenity. "That's where I've been encountering a bit of difficulty... the easiest way to get to a fifth, electrically speaking, is to break things down into tenths and then double it. 2/10ths is the same as 1/5th, so I can get 0.2 of the power to each node."

Bruce kissed the back of tony’s neck lightly, “Mmmh, so why dont you do that?” he asked laying small kisses over the blades of tony’s shoulders.
The affection induced shivers all the way down his back. "I h-have. But theory never translates well to actual performance, no two circuits function 100% the same. I've got a surge in node two and a deficit in node five..." A tiny moan ended his sentence.

Bruce trailed his tongue over tony’s ear, “so how are we gonna fix it?” he asked breath tickling at tony’s earlobe. “smartest scientist in the world ought to know.” he breathed.
His knees wobbled a little. "Unfortunately it's going to involve repeated trial and error. A tweak here, test the circuit, a tweak there, test the circuit. Working together we should be able to cut back on the amount of time it'll take by about 1.5x, my estimate." His fingers surreptitiously squeezed the edge of the work bench, enjoying the teasing the physicist was doing.

“well we are so much better together” bruce said hands trailing down tony’s thighs and then back up again agonizingly slow. “you know, I have a…” bruce paused hands hovering over the elastic that held tony’s pants up smirking behind him. “a theory id like to test out.” he teased. “when we finish this of course”
Tony felt a grin creeping onto his features. Two could play at this game. "I don't know, Bruce," he leaned over the workbench slightly and rolled his hips back into Bruce's hands, grinding against him, "I think we should work out the theories before we get into the practice..."

A shiver made its way down Bruce’s spine, he smiled though this would be much more fun if tony played along. “Ohh no sweetheart, I insist, you’ve been waiting long enough.” Bruce hooked his thumbs into the waistband of Tony’s slacks. “from here on out this is going to be strictly a work time.” he said knowing that would go out the window very soon, fingers inching closer to Tony’s groin before he pulled them away quickly and stepped back “completley professional, i swear.” he said with a straight face and fingers crossed out of Tony’s sight.
"Uh huh..." the engineer responded, not completely convinced. He hadn't expected the physicist to have quite so much pluck. "Well then," he walked the short distance to secure his digital ammeter, holding it out to Bruce, "you'll need this. /If/ we're going to actually start working, that is." He cocked an eyebrow with a grin.

Bruce had to resist a laugh, “and what else would we do?” he asked with mock seriousness, still completly intent on getting tony bent over a lab table. ” I mean really tony, labs are for buisness not pleasure.”
"I don't believe I've heard a bigger pile of bullshit come from your mouth, Dr. Banner," the innovator chortled, grabbing a screwdriver from his toolbox and twirling it in his fingers. "Everything I do in this lab is pleasurable. I take great pleasure in what I do." He tapped the end of the tool against Bruce's chest. "And you wouldn't be in here if I didn't find your presence pleasing too..." he purred.

Bruce smiled, “just my presence?” he asked, hand wrapping around the base of tony’s screwdriver and pulling it away from him. “because I was pretty sure a few of the other things i do are pretty, pleasurable.” he said with a gravely undertone to his voice.
"Hey..." Tony gave a little whine as his tool was taken away, he reached for it.
