Hikari nodded. "Okay, sure." She then gathered up all the bloodpacks in her arms and scowled to Amelie. "You can't have all the rest of these today." Amelie scowled back, almost finishing her first blood pack. Hikari looked to Shortstraw and smiled. "I'll be back in a second. I just gotta hide these where Amelie won't be able to find them. 'Kay?" And with that she smiled once more and left the room, almost dropping a blood pack on the way. Meanwhile Amelie still sat there, teeth puncturing the plastic blood bag, staring at the floor, tracking her dear daughter. When she found her, her eyes widened for a second, then dulled again to the taste of the rare blood her doctor had collected.

*Shorstraw got into the chair next to ameile* "I havn't really got to know you either. Only storys. Whats a gaurden exacly. I know it's like were worlf thingy... but they why do you eat blood instead of meat?" He asked interested. He smiled, after all he wanted to keep the pregnant women happer then she would be alone expechally with yuji gone.*

Amelie shook her head. "No. This is just something i'm addicted to." She looked to the floor, and tossed the empty pack aside. She was still thirsty. So thirsty. One pack doesn't just cut it. "And Guardians aren't like werewolves at all. We're just often confused. We were made by witches called the Old ones to protect humans against Yokai. Which is always ironic to me. Unlike werewolves, we can shift forms by will, or when we're provoked. Like if we're really on the extreme forms of emotion or something. Hikari knows more than me. You're not interested in this, not really." Amelie still didn't look away from the floor, willing Hikari to come back soon.

*Shortstraw shrugged.* "So gaurdens were made by witches? Hmmmm i wonder why. I always though most witches were bad and liked to mess around and hurt humans. So why would they protect them, isn't magic most effectiveon human more then anything else?" He chukkled, "it is interesting actully. I sorta feel bad for living in the house with Ms Keria and not even really knowing anyone else but Ms Eve. I mean i don't know what anyone else is, or there storys, or even what they do and do not like. Expechally you. I've been worned alot aobut you. Sometimes i don't belive it. Other times i think i understand it. But it might the person telling the story too." He smiled. "Since i'm here i think it's far to say i'll help you in any way i can if you even need to call on my for it. No matter what it is." He nodded to give her something even if small, to back her up int he futcher.*

This sentiment made Amelie smile, then chuckle a little bit. "You may regret saying that, Shortstraw. Trust me on this." She shook her head and her smile drooped once more. "Besides, the Old ones are the origins of witches. My kind are as old as the normal witches of today. The story behind bad witches is including the Old ones. Basically, there were twelve witches in the Old ones originally. The eleventh was sly and evil and decided to go against her sisters, creating even some of the worst Yokai there is to imagine to use against the mortals of the world. The humans." Amelie sighed, shutting her eyes. "The other Old ones were outraged, and their gift to the world was my kind. The guardians. To defend the humans against the evil Yokai this witch had created. Eventually, due to stronger genes and types. Good witches became rarer and rarer, and the evil witches became stronger. But my kind still remain, dying out. But remaining." Why was Hikari taking so long?

*He nodded* "okay i get it. It sucks your kinds growing few though. Also how are you feeling. How long untill your expecting the baby?" He asked pointing to her stomach. "Whats the name going to be?"

Amelie looked down to her stomach, which was ever swelling with each passing day. "Soon.. very soon.." Amelie frowned further, almost wanting to flew her hands to control herself. "And it's going to be Dante. Dante Inferno Yokai." Amelie bit her lip to stop it trembling. "It's what he would have wanted. It's just one of those names he would have agreed on, i'm sure." Amelie put her hands on her stomach and smiled, shutting her eyes. Hikari came back into the room at that moment, and saw Amelie was calming down at least, and not being hostile to Shortstraw like she would expect. Maybe it was the hormone thing, she wasn't sure. But it really didn't help with their loss so close to the birth. She could be expected any day now. "I'm baaack~" Hikari made her way over to the stove, and turned it on. "I was thinking. Maybe we should all have a family dinner tonight. It may be a good thing to lift some spirits, ya'know?"

*He nodded* "Okay i'll help with the dishes and stuff around the kitchen then so you don't have so much later." he smiled, "I think we should supprize everyone with it." he agreed it was a good idea. However he felt Keria wouldn't wantto be be part of it still, she hadn't gone that far in level yet... not that he would ha seen not yet, and that was also if she was even back by then.* He smiled to ameile, "I think it's a great name. Sounds cool."

Hikari nodded. "Thanks Shortstraw~" She thought for a second, while getting some trays and laying them out on the counter. "You know. You should really have a name of your own too. Shortstraw sounds almost like an insult and i think you deserve better than that. Amelie, any suggestions?" Amelie shrugged and put her head back on her hand. Hikari frowned, getting some ingredients out. "Well you're no help." Amelie shrugged again, then stood up, not bothering to tuck in the chair afterwards. "I'm going to go get some fresh air." And Amelie left the room. Hikari ran to the kitchen door, and shouted after Amelie. "Don't go too far! Oh, and don't forget to come back before dinner!" Hikari watched Amelie walk out the door then she went back to her cooking. "I do wonder what does go through their minds sometimes."

*He smiled* "Thats what name Keria gave me. It's the only on ei have so i'm okay with it. Be alittle wird when i'm older but anyone can call me wahtever they want i guess. I don't mind." He chukkled, "Keria is strange ina good way. But i can tell Ms ameile is the same way ina sense. I do wonder though what will become of Ms Ameile when she has the baby." He nodded and started making some dishwater. "Hey i also want to ask you somthing. It's personal sorta, and not the best thing to bring up right now but.... you were close to Mr Yuji."

Hikari had just finished peeling some potatoes before looking to Shortstraw. "What is it? You can tell me anything." She smiled happily before wiping her hands on her apron and started to cook some meat. "It's true Amelie's going to have a hard time raising the child on her own. But i'll be there to help here, so she won't feel so abandoned."
Meanwhile, Amelie was walking to the town, concentrating on hacking Kiera's mind. It was no small feat, to be honest. Kiera's mind was like a vault never to be opened by the wrong hands. But Kiera was weak at the moment.

*Shortstraw nodded and looked to the water turning it off. "I noticed Mr Yuji was watching me for a while. Ever sincei asked him a quesiton about keria. I never made it seem like i relized he was keeping a close eye on me, however i was wondering if you knew if he saw me as someone he would want here. Or if he was susspitious of me amoung other things. Would he have left me a letter aswell?"

Hikari smiled as she dumped the cooked meat into the bottom of a glass tray. "I think Yuji trusted you, a lot. You seemed to make breakthroughs with Kiera that he had not, and so a little jealousy comes into there. But a fathers love is eternal, and he only wants what's best for Kiera in the end. And i think he thought you are what is best for Kiera. You're changing her." She smiled further, and began to mash up the potatoes, while putting some vegetables in a pot and boiling them in water on the stove. "If Yuji really thought of you as part of this family, then he would have. Even if you weren't connected with the rest of this family so much, you were still close to Veira and Kiera, Yuji's most precious things. I'm sure he wold have left you a message. I'm certain. I still have yet to find my letter. But i don't want to be looking for it." Hikari didn't often give out wise words, but when she did, they were meaningful.

*He smiled* "Well some change is good. Not all. I don't want to change her complealy, i just want her to have a perpose really. She seems all... well i better not say anything more. She might get mad. However my point is," he looked at her, "i'm really happy with her right now. And i feel important now too thanks to Ms Eve." He smiled, "one day i want to serously prove i can help anyone who needs it. I wanna prove i'm not worthless, and i'm not just a good for nothing youknow. So at the same time i've learned alot here too. And a few feirnds too." He chukkled happiliy*

Hikari still smiled, even though she was thinking sad thoughts. She put the boiled vegetables in the glass tray with the meat and started to make a sauce. "Does that mean in the end you're not going to stick around here, then?" She moved back to the mash. "I guess that's fine, if thats right. Everyones gotta find their place, i guess." She then poured the sauce over the vegetables and meat and then spread the mashed potato on top. "I think Kiera's tried to make you feel special the way that you think Eve has. She may be frustrated about that the same way Veira is jealous that you hang around Kiera so much." Hikari giggled and tapped her nose once she put the tray into the oven and looked to him. "I happen to notice a lot of what goes around in this home."
